Departing a Caribbean eco-paradise on their return flight to the U.S. the vacationers and honeymooners aboard don't realize that their real adventure is just beginning. Hidden on the ill-fated plane are army ants, a super-organism comprised of millions of individuals, whose only imperative is survival. Emerging thru the tiniest spaces of the aircraft's interior as individuals they quickly coalesce into a black swarm and attack, to feed and or to defend themselves. Once they overwhelm a victim there is no escape. If that terror isn't enough there is a second threat to their survival when the pilot is refused permission to land, anywhere - because the ants are like the plague or bird flu that might not be able to be contained. The threat is considered so serious that if they attempt to land in the U.S. F16's are in the air ready to shoot them down. It's now up to the pilot, a woman who has her young daughter aboard as a passenger, to get everyone down safely. Somewhere. If you feel something crawling up your leg better hope it doesn't bite.

What a movie . I felt like ants were crawling all over my body. That was mental pew! Great movie
This is a surprisingly good movie. Despite appearing a little camp in spots the performances are convincing, and editing and continuity are flawless. I love the interactions between mother and daughter, college boys, engaged couple. I wish there had been more between the cabin crew, and that the romance had been handled better. And they could have come up with a better title! In any case, I'll never look at ants the same way again.

Watching from South Africa, 28 December 2019. Its sad how authorities think. I was very hurt when the plane was denied landing by almost all nearby airports. Thanks to the TV crew that arrived just before the military could extinguish everything on that plane...nice movie indeed

In real life in 2021 the TV crew would show and say what the government tells them to show and say and nothing else anyway, and they certainly wouldn't be in the way of the military. That kind of investigative, non-conformist journalism has become extinct, at the very latest with the exile of Snowden and the arrest of Assange.

I came into this with little hope of actually finishing it, but gotta say I liked it. The idea of ants being a thing to worry about on a plane hit me, but the fact that the writers answered that question is good enough for me. good movie all around.

For a movie about killer ants on a plane - this is actually very enjoyable and acted better then it really should have been. Pretty strong recommend if you are into scyfi level movies. This is at the top end.

Turned out to be a pretty good movie, a bit of a surprise given the storyline, but was well made and acted and pretty convincing. Certainly worth a watch, Thanks JPG for the upload😄

The plot seemed corny but, good actors especially the daughter, good script, good screenplay, good camera works and excellent dialogues made this whole movie very much enjoyable.

Lol, i can relate, i spent the entire night i got off a 6 hour flight watching a Mayday marathon on the Discovery channel when i was 10, getting on a plane for my third time a year later wasn't the same experience it had been before.

At 23. minutes in, the plane calls Miami tower. There is a big mountain range in the background of Miami tower. Well, I live in Miami, and I know the only thing in the background of Miami is swamps! (the Everglades)
The guy that plays the air marshal was the same actor that was in crash landing.He always ends up with a hot looking date in the end and saves all the passengers on the plane.I think he's cool.

Surprisingly a good movie, was worth the watch and I don’t say that a lot or at all about low IMDb movies and I do always give them a shot in the hopes of movies like this.
