Committee के senior member ने डपटते हुए पूछा - what is this? This is a pronoun ,Sir - उसका जवाब था।

"Presence of mind" is only needed till they clear the UPSC interview and after that these people stop using their brain completely. Take any kind of complaint to them and their answer will be the same: it is out of my knowledge, I'll look into it.
That's show-off and attempt to be oversmart.
@Authentic EducationInterviewers have your name, qualifications etc too..... But still when asked the name, do we apply "Grammar" saying "Name" is a Noun or simply.... For example - if your name is "Akash", do you say my name is "sky" ???
Man its so easy to sit at home and comment... What comes in your mind....
Think about that aspirant....that interview and many things were very unique in their places....agar tumhe aisa kuchh puch liya jaye beta to pant gili kr doge.......
Come on! A candidate is nervous and the chairman actually questions the nervousness(which is very common and the interviewers know it) that causes him to act clumsily. Upon that the response of the candidate showed was a good proof of not getting stuck with the kinda secondary question and can think positively (presence of mind). Now the interviewers know that the candidate can tackle the nervousness
