This is not right that chair must justifies its value. 1. I wouldn't call him a scammer because he only used loopholes of the system (which basically every broker was using during the 90s as bodies like SEBI were Non-Statutory) 2. He did not issue Fake BR (Bank Receipt). He just took a ₹ 500 crore check from SBI without ever providing a BR for them(because the amount was simply too big). That was his biggest mistake. He was always in a hurry to pump up the stock market and eventually got caught. 3. All the sins made by the PM, COM, SBI, RBI, every broker was put on just 1 person = Harshad Mehta. That's because he was always in the news and had too many haters. He was made the scapegoat for all the blunders and it was only after 2019 when people found the truth. 4. Yes he was a genius. But he's not a "hero". We Indians tend to use this word far too often for any public figure. We should be more reserved while using terms such as "God" and "Hero".

Scan 1992 is one of the best document series ever. There is no doubt that Harshad was a genius in money making. He didn't create any loopholes in the system, he just exploited the ones that were already existing like everyone else. But still Harshad had to pay more penalty than others. In my opinion, at that time Harshad couldn't understand the difference between being ambitious & being greedy. He was doing well in BSE but it was his greed that took him to the money market. He make more and more wealth without thinking about the consequences. And when all things collapsed, he realised that apart from a certain amount, he didn't need money. However it was too late to go back. So the moral of the story is to not run blindly behind money, power and wealth. We all come empty handed & will go empty handed. But he did not tell them what exactly he is doing with that money. Because he was giving result, he gained the trust and people started to invest more trusting his methods. 1. I wouldn't call him a scammer because he only used loopholes of the system (which basically every broker was using during the 90s as bodies like SEBI were Non-Statutory)
2. He did not issue Fake BR (Bank Receipt). He just took a ₹ 500 crore check from SBI without ever providing a BR for them(because the amount was simply too big). That was his biggest mistake. He was always in a hurry to pump up the stock market and eventually got caught.
3. All the sins made by the PM, COM, SBI, RBI, every broker was put on just 1 person = Harshad Mehta. That's because he was always in the news and had too many haters. He was made the scapegoat for all the blunders and it was only after 2019 when people found the truth.
4. Yes he was a genius. But he's not a "hero". We Indians tend to use this word far too often for any public figure. We should be more reserved while using terms such as "God" and "Hero".

Scan 1992 is one of the best document series ever. There is no doubt that Harshad was a genius in money making. He didn't create any loopholes in the system, he just exploited the ones that were already existing like everyone else. But still Harshad had to pay more penalty than others. In my opinion, at that time Harshad couldn't understand the difference between being ambitious & being greedy. He was doing well in BSE but it was his greed that took him to the money market. He make more and more wealth without thinking about the consequences. And when all things collapsed, he realised that apart from a certain amount, he didn't need money. However it was too late to go back.
So the moral of the story is to not run blindly behind money, power and wealth. We all come empty handed & will go empty handed. Only a certain amount of living and peace of mind is required to live a prosperous life, nothing else😌
