Won't blame Sucheta dalal...just good business for her, targeting Harshad Mehta got her the attention needed for a beginner. Won't say she took money from bear cartel, but that is also a possibility since her source also indulged in the same activities as Mr Mehta. But the best piece of business was grabbing the Padmashree by keeping mum and targeting only Harshad Mehta and not the other 'influential' people behind him. Harshad Mehta was no saint. Lets face it. While this is perhaps the best OTT/webseries ever made in India, it does skirt a very simple question. Why did Dalal only go behind Harshad Mehta. Tyagu, Kedia and many others were doing the same thing. Harshad just got too visible and was clearly attacked by the bear gang. it is hard to believe that Sucheta Dalal and the bear Gang had no connection in real life. Perhaps only Dalal and those alive from the bear gang know and will never tell. But it would have been great if the series had raised the question of why not catch the other people playing around with the system. Perhaps because it is based on Dalal's book.

It's a very simple answer, Harshad was an upstart who made powerful enemies and powerful friends, people who tried things like Harshad did usually ran out of funds, but due to his political connections he was able to get funds to hold his position much longer.
If Harshad was Ok going political then ofcourse his opponents would have to do the same to survive in the market.
As far as Sucheta Dalal is concerned, she is not the one who stole funds from NHB, Harshad did, you can't resort to whataboutism once you are caught. The reason it got big enough for TOI to cover is because Harshad took help of politicians to fight a battle in the market and got wrecked.
