How does the volcanic lamination compare to thunderbolt red?

Volcanic laminations come in several flexes depending on the board model.
The volcanice does make the board a little stiffer.
So good for people that like and want that stiffer feel.
Volcanic and other constructions in FW are super durable.
We had several guys over 200 riding Seaside and can rip, after a year the boards dont have a lot of pressure dings.
The thunderbolt boards are way more tech and fine tuned like a F1.
The flex of each model is adjusted.
So for example one of the Harley boards, he'd ride a model tell Yu san to adjust the flex on the nose center and tail to suit what he wants that particular model to do in the surf he designed it for.
Red (xeon) Construction and Black (carbon) boards are exactly the same except the last layer.
      The Red
      - most flex
      - Good for small waves
      - Lighter riders tend to like it
      - Good for everyday surf.
      - Better for beginners to intermediate.
Since it has the most flex, the more you push on it the more springs out of turns.
The surfers that are "better surfers" tend to like that extra spring because they can play around with the feeling of the board when they're pumping and turning.
      The Black
      -Stiffer
      - It can handle bigger and better surf . Harley rides the black in more hollow waves.
-Most intermediate to pro level surfers prefer this.
-Heavier 190 and above surfers tend to prefer this flex.

@@hawaiiansouthshore thank you so much for the helpful detail! It’s very much appreciated. I weigh 150lb, 6’, and would put myself in the beginner-intermediate category, surf normally 1-3’ waves at tamarack (a beach break) Looking to purchase a Seaside & Beyond 7’ after reading the information provided it sounds like it would be better for me to go for the T-Red version. Subscribed and liked the video, to show support!

@@Haffizy17 the seaside and beyond is a very easy riding board and paddles like a longboard but when you get on the tail of maneuvers really well, very forgiving board.
That board only comes in red
Thunderbolt was working with firewire once the seaside and beyond in thunderbolt, technologies is gone, that'll be it they're not making any more unfortunately

@@hawaiiansouthshore I’m aware, so I’m looking to buy a thunderbolt red on the used market. I did 3 in a board shop last Thursday, one was in volcanic 7’ , a 6’8 in thunderbolt red in the yellow latte color, and a 7’ in lft in white. So I asked the rep but wasn’t feeling informed enough to buy a $1,000 board without doing more homework 😂
