Mexico is a very strong team but I don’t think they would ever beat Venezuela with their ace on the mound. It’s too bad that the LLWS is double elimination as it really hurts certain teams and it isn’t the best way to determine the best team.. pool play might be a better format
It's not illegal if they have a part of the foot on the line for the inside of the box. The way to beat that is to be able to hit the inside corners consistently. I think after the hit batter, Mexico's pitchers were afraid to pitch the inside corners.

They have let everyone stand outside of the box. They (umpires) should make the kids stand inside of the batters box and then I think that they would be more consistent with the callings.
What players want is consistent calls from the blue. So they call the outside strike. They do it for everyone. Don’t forget the camera angle is off and there is no electronic box like in MLB. They are for the most part 5 foot nothing, they need to reach the pitches, that is why the plate crowding is allowed.
WTF! At 6:35 the pitch was in the opposite batters box from the batter and the ump called it a strike! In every game of the LLWS I've watched this year (m0st of them after the first round) umps have been calling strikes on balls that are way outside and usually over part of the opposite batters box. It's a travesty and they need to learn how to call balls and strikes.

Lo que si es insolito es que Venezuela no tuviese desde las primeras expansiones su equipo aparte, y mas por nuestro historial que sin tener un cupo fijo como pais hemos ganado la LLWS dos veces y otros como Mexico con añales iendo todos los años solo la han ganado 2 o 3 veces y dos de esas en epocas viejisimas donde no habia el mismo nivel de ahora pero ni cerca. Una verguenza de la organizcion de la LLWS que primero Mexico tuviese su equipo antes que venzuela siendo mexico n pais no tan beisbolero comparado con Cuba, Dominica, Pto Rico y Venezuela. Evidentemnete el cupo de Mexico es por marketing por los millones y millones de mexicanos que hay en USA! Pero ni siqeuira luego le dieron un cupo a venezuela y si a otros paises que no tienen un historial ni el nivel que tenemos nosotros en beisbol de pequeñas ligas, ni hablar de la organizacion en Venezuela de pequeñas ligas donde existe los criollitos de venezuela, un ente que es parte esencial del beisbol en venezuela y que es un simbolo para el pais tipo el sistema de orquestas!

Que son Australia, japon, Canadá, Puerto rico, México. En el torneo local de EEUU también están representados por región, región sur, región oeste, algunos también representando al propio estado como región.
