Nope. Your Swendelensy gets loads of money from the Dutch tax payers. There is a prediction that above 1 million Dutch people will live in poor standards next year. Meanwhile Ukraine refugees that now live in the Netherlands go on vacation....... Do you know their destiny? I do...... the Ukraine.

Saw them years ago at the Amphi in Cologne and at this year's Iron Maiden show in Dortmund. They were a great opener for Maiden and really got the crowd going! Just put the ESC behind you and stay true to yourselves!

I hadn't heard Lord of the Lost before, wasn't too keen after watching their Eurovision performance and didn't bother to arrive early for the first FPT show I went to in Manchester. However I caught the 2nd half of their set and was blown away, such a fantastic performance and they sounded so much better live!
Opening for Iron Maiden has got to be about the hardest job any band can do and yet they absolutely killed it. Reckon they're my favourite of the bands supporting Maiden I've seen. Looking forward to seeing em back in the UK in September!

Saw them last year and this year opening for Maiden. Chris has quite a unique voice for a metal singer. A very nice baritone. That really stands out. In the past, I have been disappointed about Steve Harris' choice of opening acts but Lord of the Lost was surely spot on.

Lord of the Lost aren't my favorite but yeah, I saw them last year and they were touring with them and Airbourne, preferred Airbourne 100%. Still, anything is better than Lauren Harris, that was disastrous.

I saw Lord of the Lost supporting Maiden last month. They're not really to my taste musically, but they gave a great performance and won over the Maiden audience, which many of Maiden's support bands have failed to do over the years. Definitely a band to watch out for.

I owe Steve Harris a vote of thanks, over and above the institution that is Iron Maiden itself. I became aware of LOTL only after they were announced as Maiden's support act.
Winning my first IMFC First to the Barrier draw, I was determined to be able to enjoy the whole experience to the fullest extent. I stood right in front of Ade and Pi, and thanks to RUclips, I was the idiot bouncing around and singing along with every word to every song. LOTL are, without doubt, my favourite opener for Iron Maiden.
When Chris announced that LOTL would headline a gig in Slay Glasgow, I knew that I wanted to be there. Somehow I scored a returned ticket though, in that packed venue, I never quite made it to the barrier, only the second row.
Both events count among the best nights of my life. I can't recommend seeing LOTL live highly enough...they are truly amazing.
I hope to travel to Europe to see LOTL again, but if not I hope they will return to the UK soon.
In the meantime, I'm buying CDs and learning the lyrics to the rest of LOTL back catalogue in preparation.

Saw them opening last year and this year for Maiden with two different friends of mine. Both times we had a Beavis and Butthead moment:
    "Uh huhuhuhu... this sucks. Wuzz."😂
On a more serious note: Seems like several people in the comment section seem to like their songs / performance. I however struggle to find anything unique, creative, outstanding, interesting about them. I think there are tons of underground NWOTHM bands with more talent and closer to the personal taste of the average Maiden fan who would in my opinion deserve the chance as a Maiden opener way more 🤷‍♀️

Iron Maiden have the classic hard rock. Not Aerosmith style. Who loves hard metal amd not romantic will love them.
I think Steve loves them because they are different.
They are so versatile. I think Iron Maiden fans will love their Swan Songs.

Saw them last year as supporting act in Cologne and this year in Dortmund and this year they really improved.
Last year I couldn't even understand a word for example what the singer said or sang. This year they really performed very well and the crowd liked them, even though they bombed at the ESC.
Another advice they should also keep in mind: Don't get political.
Another reason Maiden got where they are now is, that they don't get political and stay neutral most of the time; especially nowadays, where everyone has an opinion on something and don't want to change or accept other peoples opinions.
What Lord of the Lost did wrong back in the ESC, was trying to get political with LGBTQ+-Rights, waving the flag instead of the german one, which backfired a lot.
They really should stick to their style, play the music and forget what they did at the ESC, and they are on the right path.
I wish them the best of luck on that, because they were a blast and a powerhouse on tour.

    • @tutnichtnotig1297
      @tutnichtnotig1297 10 месяцев назад +10

      What?
A political action is the Pride flag?
This flag is waaay more than the LGBTQIA*Community.
Respect, humanity, acceptance & much more. This is NOT political. This is a fu*king human right.
LOTL is a queer friendly/open band. They givt us, the community, a save space & respect. Nothing more. They have pride styled merchandise, is this political?
      No it is not!
Political is the opposite, to make it political.
Everything is political, music, sports, tv, traffic, if you left your house, it is political.

What Lord of the Lost should do is what feels correct to them ;-) just like each one of us. It doesn't matter if some people dislike them, it only means that those people are not part of their audience. It works the same for any artist or artisan.

    • @fernandomunoz2737
      @fernandomunoz2737 10 месяцев назад

@@supremeghost7950 I get your drift and I think I agree they have lowered their vocality about stuff, but back in the start, the whole joke on Margareth Thatcher, the british policies and else, it has always been there. I also think that Bruce is much more vocal about it than the rest of the band. Peace!

Can't understand having LOTL as a support for the UK shows when-at least to me anyway, they looked/sounded like some Europop act channeling Rammstein-very badly I might add.....hence my multiple trips to the bar during their set.

Lord of the lost were really bad, alot of fans here in Norway means so, and when i saw them opening for maiden in Vienna last year, they seemed to care about the look and silly jesters rather than songs meaning ans music. even some fans were booing or giving them the middle finger.
