Just imagining Iron Maiden coming to an and gets me teary eyed. They have been such an important piece of my life that I can't imagine a world without them. If they truly are preparing new music, and if that turns out to be their swan song, it will be the first and last time a new record by the guys makes me sad. I wish they were eternal, just like their music will always be.
I remember reading a interview about Senjutsu and Bruce made a comment about having the album ready to go for release in 2020 but due to COVID they waited on it. He also mentioned that they actually have some ideas and material that they either left off of the album or are working on and debated doing it during the lockdown but decided against it. Either way, I am excited for what news Bruce has for us!
Hopefully it's a new album! Or at least live album. But also - Thank you so much for repping our TSHIRT there!! It was amazing meeting you in Wacken! 🔥🔥🤘🤘
my guesses are one of these possibilities: - live album - change a few songs of the setlist - play somwehere in time entirely if they change just a few songs of the setlist please don't add the same songs, go for some deep cuts or songs never played!
It’s a live album for The Future Past Tour. Fans would love live versions recorded of the SIT songs which was never done outside of Wasted Years and HCW. Steve even mentioned that he regretted not recording Somewhere on Tour live album.
i dont know why Maiden didnt record every show if only on a two track like Grateful Dead did. at least we'd have some decent quality bootlegs from Somewhere On Tour tour....
I reckon they recorded a new album during lockdown… which is why they released Senjutsu even while the legacy of the beast tour was ongoing because they were getting backed up with releasing new material. My guess is there is (another) new album already recorded and that is what Bruce is alluding to
I mentioned in another comment that Bruce has mentioned during an interview that once they completed Senjutsu, they had some ideas for another album but didn't want to work/record it during the lockdowns since they'd be stuck in a recording studio together for who knows how long at that time. Here's hoping it's a new album and maybe they'll give us some teasers or a setlist change for the second leg of the Future Past Tour if it does come to the US!
Love this channel! What ever Maiden do it's going to be amzing! I saw them in Bergen early this summer and it was magic. Bruce and the boys was on fire. I''ve seen them 18 times now, and they never disappoint. Let's hope for some new music and I can't wait to hear new Burce solo album!!!!!!!! Love from Norway. Up the Irons \m/
I think it’s probably the announcement of a new studio album. I’ve been hoping for that - I didn’t think they would take another 5 years. I would be shocked and very disappointed if they don’t bring The Future Past tour to the US, but every day that goes by without an announcement, I get more and more afraid that it won’t happen. LOVE AND SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE!
In an interview during the days before or after Senjutsu was released, Bruce said they’d either already written most of a new album, or had actually already recorded most of it. I have to find this interview. Senjutsu was recorded and ready for release in ‘19, but was put in the can due to Covid. So four years have already passed since it was recorded.
They do have Future Past shows scheduled for North America (Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver) on top of the Power Trip show. Not a full tour, but shows none the less.
@@dochaliday69 True. I’m in NJ so I’d have to travel across the country to get to California, or get a passport to go to Canada. Both are considerations if they don’t do shows closer to me. Don’t have the money for either of those possibilities, but I’m still looking into seeing what they might cost to keep them open for me. I really want to see this tour!
IMO there are two possibilities: a wider american and south american tour (look at Bruce's cap in the video) or a dvd from the tour in the future (past), but surely after the end of it but it would be strange an announce like this before it ends. Too early for new songs i think, but for sure the "age-clock" is tickin fastee and louder so they have to do things sooner as possible.
A new studio album sounds the most logical since they wanted to record another in the pandemic but didn't because they didn't want to record an album just because they are bored.
I feel like they are gonna announce North and South America dates for September and October soon. They aren't just gonna do 5 shows this next leg, that doesn't make sense for them if they're already gonna be in America. This leg will be like last year. South America in September and North America in October/November. They will also prob release a live album of this tour by the end of this year if I had to guess and then release a new studio album next year. These are my predictions of what will happen. EDIT : I also think they will keep the setlist the exact same. The only change I can see them doing is swapping DotC with The Parchment. I don't think they will take out the Senjutsu songs when the tour is supposed to be supporting the Senjutsu album.
Don’t hold your breath , give Nicko a chance to finish his physio and get really ready for the US , he was great for us on the European leg but would prefer it if he was back to full health to tackle the bigger distances and generally more tiring Stateside , be patient , it would be cool if they did some stadiums and filmed it or broadcast , as well putting as putting some new music together for everyone .
I reckon they’ll be back on your in Europe next year. I saw British Lion the night before the Maiden gig in Dublin, and they said that they’d be back, and where they go, Maiden go.. We hope.. 😉
When I saw that video and heard Bruce say what he said and looking the way he did I was practically peeing in my pants excited!! I feel confident that there's going to be a live album/video from this tour and if I'm right then I would guess that's probably what he's referring to. Beyond that, I do believe that they'll do something special in 2025 to mark the 50th anniversary, I'd *love* that to include a new album and a tour but I don't know, I might be asking a bit much there. I could see them releasing a jazzed up boxset of the complete works but then again, is that going to be commercially viable? All I know is that the thoughts of what might be coming up and what they might do next are *all* exciting!! Greatest band there's ever been! Up The Irons!!
My guess is it’s a new album. After finishing Senjutsu and Covid kicking in. Bruce said they (IM) had the creative energy to make another album during lockdown. But with countries locked down it would have been too difficult getting together
A live video release from the current tour is hopefully next. I'm disappointed there has been no pro-shot footage from the festivals like Hellfest and Wacken, when other bands' sets were televised. Mayeb they have a no TV clause for the tour?
I was wondering that very thing myself. After hearing about what's happening with Nicko, maybe that's why? Sorta like P.R. damage control until Nicko was ready to talk about it?
A 'Final Days' tour where past members such as Paul, Blaze and Dennis Stratton get on stage to perform their songs in a huge setlist covering every era of the band's history. Finishing with all members, past and present on stage performing Run to the Hills with a picture of Clive above the drum kit.
We oldtime Maiden fans from the get go, for me since 1982, really dont want the news to be a new album. NO!!! What we want, is a tour that will beat all tours combined. Which is, play in its entirety back to back, The Number Of The Beast and Piece Of Mind. This will be the end for me and I will die with a hardcore smile on my face. This has been a dream of mine, and I hope it comes true. I've seen Maiden over 60 times since they opened for the Scorpions on TNOTB tour. I'm 58, and not too old to rock!!!!! Up the IRONS!!!
That's my opinion too as soon as they do the Powertrip gig, they would announce the rest of the U.S tour afterwards. Might be cause of the contract agreement with Powertrip
Senjutsu was recorded in 2019. They didn't plan for time off during the pandemic, I bet they were writing more new music. A 2021 release followed by a 2024 release would be similar to the time gap they had between Brave New World and Dance of Death so it is plausable. The gaps between Final Frontier, Book of Souls and Senjutsu were a bit long.
When did he say that? I remember that some months ago Steve or Bruce said that they will be touring as long as they can by the end of they career, which is probably the next few years
Probably because The shows they do in America are mostly filled with fair- weather fans who want them to only play the classics and don't know/care for new material..... so 3/4 of the audience in the arenas is dead AF.
As none of the guys has any solo/sideprojects planned after powertrip it is quite obvious for me that they will record a new album during the winter (cant think of any other reason nobody would do anything…). Next year part 2 of the future past tour (probably mainly america, with some shows in the rest of the world). And then at the end of 24 or early 25 the new album will be released. At least thats what i would put my bets on😉🤘🏼
@usualsuspects9099 i know that he will release his solo album as well. But that has nothing to do with maiden. He didnt say that „he“ has something else in the pipeline, but „we“ (=> Maiden). If it would only be bruces album then at least adrian and steve would probably do something else during the winter. Anyway, its all just guessing at this point, but im sure we will know more right after Powertrip :)
In my opinion..I'm starting to believe that Maiden might follow, "Give Me Ed...'Till I'm Dead" tour. Leading to hopefully playing down under and probably Central Macedonia?? That would be soo cool if they do play there or somewhere near.. Follow a new album next September?? That would make Maiden fans happy...for sure.
I'm thinking a US tour, maybe hitting places they haven't played for a while (Tucson, AZ and such). Or playing some of the other festivals. There's also been enough years since the last "The History of Iron Maiden", that a new one wouldn't be out of the question.
Maybe it's time to include **RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER** in the setlist!! One of Bruce's favorite songs, as he mentions in an interview with Eddie Trunk (ruclips.net/video/6qqcnK19WYI/видео.html). They've already played The Prisoner and Stranger in a Strange Land on this tour... Doubt they will play Prodigal Son, but Ancient Mariner is a must... (btw, they played it in the original Somewhere on Tour)
Would be a dream to see them tour a setlist that is almost the same as their 1986-87 Somewhere On Tour set! Of course they would probably omit and swap out several songs taking Nicko's condition into consideration, but still would be awesome if that was the case. Up the Irons!
My thoughts exactly!!! When Bruce thanked Europe at the end of the tour he mentioned a power trip and the desert. I know he was referring to the show in the US but that's what immediately crossed my mind. It's a big date! Powerslave is just great! And a lot of people would love to see Rime of the Ancient Mariner live too. It's a wild guess I know!!! 😆
I think given it's the golden anniversary in 2025, it's think we'll be treated to a new album next year, and maybe one massive tour to end all tours and then they'll call it quits for good. All in all, I'm excited and can't wait
They will release a live DVD and make announcement for new tour dates. As much as I wish for a new studio album, I don't see that happening. I hope I'm wrong, though.
I think they take Augst and September off, do Power Trip Festival in October, break until the New Year . . . then North and South America Future Past Tour . . . March through June. New Maiden album released in fall 2024.
The possibility that the tour will not pass from Greece and us Greek fans will not get to listen to OUR FOKKIN SONG, well, its would be a damn shame (to say the very least).
I can see them either announce a new album in the works which would make me really happy or announce a special tour when they play songs as empire of the clouds with orchestra live that would also be epic, but between them two as much as I would love to hear Empire live I'd still take a new album from the boys, as let's face it would probably be their final album before they throw in the towel.
I think they’ll release new material. Considering their age and ability to carry on touring that seems very plausible. I sure hope they return to europe and do another show in The Netherlands. They did only one and I fucking missed it!! 😡
Originally "If Eternity Should Fail" was supposed to be for a solo project Bruce was working on but was recorded by the boys for Book of Souls. If I am not mistaken, that was the name for that solo album Bruce was working on as well.
It's easy, the Tour continues. USA Mexico Brazil Argentina Chilie Colombia South Africa Australia New Zealand Japan China Hong Kong South Korea (It's going to take months to complete all this though) Contractaly, they are not allowed to publicly announce anything until after Powertrip, especially anything North Amarican.
A while ago Bruce talked about doing a smaller tour with all of Senjutsu. I remember him saying it might be only for more hardcore Maiden fans but they would be ok with that. That's another possibility.
it's going to be a new live album, and i've heard murmurs that there's a 3d vid. the only reason they're doing calgary, edmonton (my town) and vancouver is to make the finances work out for the power trip festival. there's zero way smallwood and company would greenlight hauling that set over to the states for just one show.
After the Power Show , Nicko will be able to get a break and see what can be done to get him to 100 percent. At the same time, it is possible that Maiden will have to get someone else to fill the seat at the drums but that's probably not going to happen. I have confidence that Nicko will bounce back.
I know Nicko isn't the first drummer in Iron Maiden, but man, it's super weird to imagine them without him. His drumming is so.....him, ya know? I love it.
Still hoping for a tour back Down Under, as us Aussie fans missed out on the Legacy of the Beast tour, having been cancelled thanks to Covid-19 in 2020.
What about the idea that they will release a live album of the Future past tour in combination with a new album/EP as a double release!? They never done that before! With artwork done by Derek Riggs! =
They will announce US dates to finish out the year. Starting out west somewhere after that one off festival and ending on east coast in Fl. Thats my prediction. 🤘😎🤘UP THE IRONS🤘😎🤘
I have been listening to A Real Live Dead One today… so clearly that is influencing my prediction for what this news might be…. A double live album. A Real Future One with new live recordings of all of the songs from SIT A Real Past One with new live recordings of all of the song from Senjutsu. This would require some additional shows with songs added to the setlists, which fits with the “need” for The Future Past tour to have US performances. I doubt that PowerTrip will be like the Future Past tour…at the festival I’d wager they go with more of a “best of” set. And perhaps a live album of that? New music would be terrific…but I’m not quite ready to get my hopes up.
As a South America, all my prayers goes to hear the Days of Future Past in South America next year with the same playlsit :( . I want to hear Hell on Earth at least once :(
Bruce Dickinson is the patron saint of staying young forever and then transforming into an ancient wizard… At least the treatments and chemo kept him alive! He sounds effing great.
There's another possibility. Iron Maiden could be preparing another reunion. We already know that Bruce Dickinson might not feel capable of singing the full setlist on his own. And maybe some of the other members also feel the same way. Because of that I think that there's a slim possibility of a reunion with past members (Dennis Stratton, Paul Di'Anno, Blaze Bayley, just to name a few) on which they would play the songs that they originally recorded in the studio. Something like what Helloween did in The Pumpkins United Tour. Maybe I'm dreaming a little bit too high, but I would absolutely love to see this tour happen :-)
I don't like any of those ideas in ending the Future Past Tour or removing the Senjutsu setlist before I get to see them in the States. 😆 I'm thinking Maiden is probably going to be working on their next album. Both Nicko and Bruce were hinting we'd like the news, so who knows what they've got in store, but I definitely don't think it's ending the tour or Bruce's solo album.
Suggest Live album of The Future Past tour as currently we only have from both Somewhere In time and Senjutsu, Wasted Years/Heaven Can Wait live versions. Or it could be announcement of rest of the world dates for the Future Past Tour.... Clearly they were seeing how Nicko coped with/ recovers from the European Dates

@@saram806 Or back in the village, Water, water everywhere and all the boards did shrink:)
@@jamesjukebox2386 Wouldn't it be great? 😆😆😆😆😆😆
@@saram806 Well that stage set was immense, the return of the mummy Eddie;)
And Anubis! 🙄
I love your channel - it is so good! I will for sure support you!
All good theories. But most likely, they'll announce a North American leg of the tour after the Power Trip Festival. And I'm all for it!!
Yeah new album cmon up the IRONS
Just imagine they teased a reunion concert with All their Former Album singers😮
This
I think it's probably a Bruce Dickinson solo album
Surprised you didn't mention the possibility of a live album
Oh simply because I spoke of it in the previous video and I think it’s a given ;)
I think they take Augst and September off, do Power Trip Festival in October, break until the New Year . . . then North and South America Future Past Tour . . . March through June. New Maiden album released in fall 2024.
It’ll be a senjutsu tour 🎉
Not broadcasted live, what a shame!
The possibility that the tour will not pass from Greece and us Greek fans will not get to listen to OUR FOKKIN SONG, well, its would be a damn shame (to say the very least).
given the language bruce said we would like it and he was addressing maiden fans so it seems we are going to get something.
I think it’s the second leg of the FP tour in 2024 with live album, then 50th anniversary/last ever tour in 2025.
I can see them either announce a new album in the works which would make me really happy or announce a special tour when they play songs as empire of the clouds with orchestra live that would also be epic, but between them two as much as I would love to hear Empire live I'd still take a new album from the boys, as let's face it would probably be their final album before they throw in the towel.
a new live dvd of the future past tour will be released for sure and a new studio album will follow , probably next year !
I think they’ll release new material. Considering their age and ability to carry on touring that seems very plausible. I sure hope they return to europe and do another show in The Netherlands. They did only one and I fucking missed it!! 😡
I am Greek. You heavily teased a live in Greece next year... a little bird told you so... tell me, please, is the source credible? Give us more info!
Keep the maiden coming! Fuck yes!
Hopefully a new Iron Maiden album
I hope that we get a new solo album. I think he first spoke about it 2016
Originally "If Eternity Should Fail" was supposed to be for a solo project Bruce was working on but was recorded by the boys for Book of Souls. If I am not mistaken, that was the name for that solo album Bruce was working on as well.
I'd appreciate more dates, since in France it was "Hey', we're coming, but only to an already sold out festival you can't buy tickets for".
It's easy, the Tour continues.
USA
Mexico
Brazil
Argentina
Chilie
Colombia
South Africa
Australia
New Zealand
Japan
China
Hong Kong
South Korea
(It's going to take months to complete all this though)
Contractaly, they are not allowed to publicly announce anything until after Powertrip, especially anything North Amarican.
No don’t say that! Future past tour USA! I will cry
A while ago Bruce talked about doing a smaller tour with all of Senjutsu. I remember him saying it might be only for more hardcore Maiden fans but they would be ok with that. That's another possibility.
Look out for posters 🤣 Or when Bruce gets back on his push bike 🚲 That's usually when something happens Up The Inner tube 🚲🤘
I'm going to say some sort of live concert. I seen a huge camera that was paning along the stage during some of the shots shown here.
it's going to be a new live album, and i've heard murmurs that there's a 3d vid. the only reason they're doing calgary, edmonton (my town) and vancouver is to make the finances work out for the power trip festival. there's zero way smallwood and company would greenlight hauling that set over to the states for just one show.
It many also be the live album or concert DVD, sth for 50 anniversary
A special concert with Bruce, Paul Di'Anno and Blaze Bayley, perhaps?
They're going to release a new studio album with all the songs coming in under 5 minutes long.
😂
Lol what a dream. And An 7 minute epic
I love it.
New album I hope. Last two albums were delayed because of Bruce's health and then COVID. They're probably looking forward to a solid release and tour.
If I never hear Run to the Hills again, I'm okay with that!
If I dont get to hear Hell on Earth live I will riot
Still hoping for a tour back Down Under, as us Aussie fans missed out on the Legacy of the Beast tour, having been cancelled thanks to Covid-19 in 2020.
I 100 percent want the Future Past Tour in the US as is, though I’d take parchment over celts. Either song is fine though!
It's a live album from this tour, obviously
What about the idea that they will release a live album of the Future past tour in combination with a new album/EP as a double release!? They never done that before! With artwork done by Derek Riggs! =
I was fixing to say🍀
They will announce US dates to finish out the year. Starting out west somewhere after that one off festival and ending on east coast in Fl. Thats my prediction.
🤘😎🤘UP THE IRONS🤘😎🤘
I have been listening to A Real Live Dead One today… so clearly that is influencing my prediction for what this news might be….
A double live album.
A Real Future One with new live recordings of all of the songs from SIT
A Real Past One with new live recordings of all of the song from Senjutsu.
We can only hope for more new music. They said during making senjutsu they had so many ideas and felt creative it might not be impossible
As a South America, all my prayers goes to hear the Days of Future Past in South America next year with the same playlsit :( . I want to hear Hell on Earth at least once :(
A live album and dvd i reckon....
Bruce Dickinson is the patron saint of staying young forever and then transforming into an ancient wizard…
At least the treatments and chemo kept him alive!
Dennis can’t sing. Paul can’t sing. Blaze has his on issues. Clive is dead. Who the fuck will they get, exactly?
I would love a 'Days of Past members tour' for sure. Bury all hatchets and all Blood Brothers together. The demand for tickets would be phenomenal.
@@DavidBrown-vi2zn who would come? Seriously?
I don't like any of those ideas in ending the Future Past Tour or removing the Senjutsu setlist before I get to see them in the States. 😆
I'm thinking Maiden is probably going to be working on their next album. Both Nicko and Bruce were hinting we'd like the news, so who knows what they've got in store, but I definitely don't think it's ending the tour or Bruce's solo album.
There's also the possibility of another live album
I reckon it’ll be a live album and video myself
Suggest Live album of The Future Past tour as currently we only have from both Somewhere In time and Senjutsu, Wasted Years/Heaven Can Wait live versions. Or it could be announcement of rest of the world dates for the Future Past Tour.... Clearly they were seeing how Nicko coped with/ recovers from the European Dates
They’re taking Dianno and Bayley out with them for what will be the final tour
