    Just finished my bear blanket and it came out beautiful! I'm a written instructions person so appreciated how thorough your instructions were. I did watch a couple of the tutorials and they were awesome as well. You are a special person for sharing your talents with the rest of us. As a side note, I did want to say that after reading the instructions, I decided to crochet the granny square around the bear backing. This allowed me to place the bear face onto the front of the blanket which gave me dimension on the front , and smoothness on the back of the blanket touching the baby.

    • @almaliliahernandezramirez4282
      @almaliliahernandezramirez4282 3 месяца назад

      Which tutorial did you to the squares?

    • @MaisieandRuth
      @MaisieandRuth  2 месяца назад +1

      I’m so pleased that you’re happy with the finished blanket, Claudia! 🥰 The initial pattern didn’t include backings for the bear square; these were incorporated into the written instructions a couple of years later. But I’m glad that you found something that worked for you and gave you the result you needed! 💞

    • @gmd3006
      @gmd3006 18 дней назад

      I figured doing it this way also! Originally, I was making another disk to attach to the back of the bear face to cover up the loose threads. I had a light bulb moment and tried just making the solid blue square and attaching the bear face to round five and continuing on with the square. This way is much better and neater.

    Hello. Thank you for this tutorial. It is explained very well. I have one question however. I saw somewhere that a circle can crocheted to cover the back of the bear but did not see that as part of the video tutorial. Would you attach it in the same manner as the “snout” on the front? I am crocheting this for my first grandchild and need to finish soon.
    Thank you in advance for your help.

      Hi Mary, you can see how I attach the backing onto the back of my squares in this video: ruclips.net/video/FbTQc27k2wU/видео.htmlsi=qLlrpouYsd1zeoUW (the timestamps are below the video in the description box). To make the backings, follow the instructions in the free pattern here: maisieandruth.com/bear-crochet-baby-blanket-cute-easy-tutorial/ Enjoy finishing the blanket for your new grandchild! 😘

    I have a question: for the 4th corner round, do we have to croshet 3dc, ch 2, 3dc in EACH corner of the round (4x) or just at the end of the round, after the slip stitches when we begin round 5? Thank you, great tutorial, I hope that I can finish this blanket🤧👍

    Brilliantly done this little blanket is just adorable! My last granddaughter (child) was just born and she’s a miracle girl considering her & my daughter were in the fight for their lives, during her delivery!!! She’s so beautiful and we’re so Lucky 🍀 they both made it out alive! I’m thinking this would lovely in pink instead of the beautiful blue!!! I may just give it a go after I make all the rest of the projects I’ve got planned for my little princess 👸 👑 👸. She would’ve had a sister a year older, but unfortunately her sister was stillborn last May. She’s incredibly fortunate to have a 5 year old sister who’s very excited to have a baby sister! Mom is so happy to have her little Princess 👸🏻 👑💕🙏😇!
    Thank You again for this Beautiful Blanket it’s Gorgeous!!!!!! Love from 🇺🇸

      Fantastic! 👏 I love working with this yarn, definitely one of my favourites. I blocked my blanket at the end by using the steam from my iron (you can see how I did this in the video). Here's hoping your yarn arrives soon, they usually ship pretty fast to me in the UK 💞

    Absolutely love this. I've done all my squares but spotted in written tutorial that I should add a backing to Teddy squares. It says to follow rounds 1-4 of Teddy tutorial. Does that include adding ears at the back aswell? If it just a full circle, can anyone confirm how many stitches I should have on last round 4 and if anyone can show me how to attach the backing square that would be fab x

    • @MaisieandRuth
      @MaisieandRuth  8 месяцев назад

      Glad you're enjoying making this blanket, Louise! 🤗 You'll just make a plain circle for your backing. So just follow rounds 1-4 of the teddy square exactly as directed. For instruction on how to attach the backings, please see this other video: ruclips.net/video/FbTQc27k2wU/видео.htmlsi=CjfJmCo3GtjWeQa5 Click on the relevant timestamp (found below the video) to jump straight to the part where I show you how to sew on the backing 💝

      The Teddy square includes the ears on round 4? Sorry I'm not fab at following patterns x

    • @MaisieandRuth
      @MaisieandRuth  8 месяцев назад

      @@louisechew505 You're right, you'll not make the ears in round 4. For round 4: Ch2 (counts as 1st st), 1dc in next 47 stitches, sl st to top of ch2 to join round (48 sts at end of round) 💞
