Ascension was the only game in the entire GOW series where Kratos smiled :')
The only game in the series where he was not betrayed.
He even felt bad for both Oracle and Orkos which is very rare in GOW series ,this shows that the Ghost of Sparta was a human too.
Ascension is truly a masterpiece.

God of War: Ascension shows perfectly how Kratos lost his humanity.
By the first God of War he had lost it all to rage, remorse and the need for absolution.
After this game there was only revenge and death in his path, for he had become the perfect warrior.
That's what I'm saying. People forget kratos is not truly pissed off until ghost of Sparta after loosing his brother. Beforehand he was actually a chill guy

Fun fact: the giant beast with a hundred hands (or was it 80?) Helped Zeus in the great war against the titans and even build the Opympus. But Zeus was distrustful of them and banished them anyway

Honestly it's a solid game but it did have some issues. Also by that point the formula of the God of War games had gotten the sgames of guns a little stale. I'm glad they did something different for God of War 4
I love the online multiplayer it had it's issues but with a little more support would've been solid.

He was kind of an anti-hero throughout the whole series. If anything he was a villain who slowly turned into an anti-hero and now is what could definitely be considered a hero.

When I watch this, I think seriously about (this is the same Kratos with the current Kratos now). It was totally different personality right there. He is so brutal and aggresive before. He changes so much to get peace. It's amazing character development.

Growing up watching God of war playthroughs one after another since i was a kid, its a dream come true to play it on pc. I have been thoroughly satisfied and excited to be part of the experience.

Yep, GOW has so many games and spinoffs that if was any other title it would definitely be overstaying it's welcome, but it just doesn't. Every single game leaves you wanting more and more.

I would be so extremely terrified if ever a situation got that much out of hand. She literally has him locked in chains, yet she manages to not just miss a few attacks, but ends up accidentally releasing and arming him. Kratos is such a good character, he is pure hatred, rage and an unstoppable force, it's just so cathartic to watch.
It's like when Agent 47 escaped from interrogation.

The prophecy did follow. The god of war did break the walls of Olympus and ended the Gods but it was not Ares and Kratos instead being the new god of war. Orkos actually caused the demise of the pantheon through his intention of saving and warning Olympus.
No bc if orkos didn’t help kratos and then ares and orkos mom would have done it themselves and the prophecy would still happen.
It would have happened regardless due to the nature of the prophecy
This game shows us the humanity Kratos had before he waged war on the gods, we can see how a caring man became a monster.

The most underrated god of war behind chains but literally the best one imo. It speaks for its self..
Every time I play God Of War 2018, I come back and watch cutscenes from earlier GOW titles, so I can remind myself of what Kratos ha gone through in the past.

i dont know why but ever since gow ascension dropped it really felt so different from the all the GOW as if its an outsider to the GOW franchise and actually i meant that in a very good way, it felt so superior to all GOW games even GOW 3 in terms of visuals and sound effects specially the characters whos involved in this game and even the settings, honestly felt superior all gow games generally at its time before god of war norse
It was released after GoW 3 after all. So of course they knew how to make it good compared to the others in terms of visuals and sound.

Still my favourite GOW game. I don't care what anyone says. The multiplayer on this game was insanely good. Been a while since I was addicted to a game and this was one of them
What was the multiplayer like never heard of a gow multiplayer was it like a co op campaign or like verses
@@thestonergamer420 Pure PVP with unique ways to win. It had both 1vs1 modes and team deathmatches. The servers were packed back in the day so there wasn't that much waiting time too

Soooooo much of this game's cutscene is missing sound effects. There are so many actions, like bodies hitting the ground or just everyday sounds you get with physical interactions that are just absent in the game. It's really offputting not hearing anything as someone getting into the audio engineering scene.
I'm not normally an audio guy but it's really obvious. Just shows how much games have moved on since then.
Probably why, as absolutely epic as this game is, probably isn't best received.

Mano o god of war ascencion é uma obra prima como todos os outros god of war, o único problema desse jogo é a história confusa e os vários bugs, se eles não tivessem deixado a história ser lembranças do Kratos e não fosse tão bugado o jogo seria muito mais aceito pelo público retardado que não consegue aproveitar um ótimo jogo como o god of war ascencion
Eu achei a história confusa e acredito que ela seja desnecessária, pois tenta criar uma história que não faz sentido para o jogo.
