When have worked out the positions of the lights i drop a plum line down and if its a wooden floor i put a screw into the floor directly below the light position. On second fix you just plum stright up to find your cable.
They do, plus not sure that's in the best location and could be more than 3m, from what I am assuming is a bedroom. If you get a building inspector who knows their stuff it could get pulled, although saying that, it will probably be ok 😂😂
Hi Nick, I have the imex laser, although I've recently changed it to a heuper model. The downside of the imex is the integrated battery, twice I have broken the charging socket by tripping on the charging lead. The heuper has a removable camara battery, so much better
Honestly get yourself a dot laser and mark the floors on sites where pendants and down lights are going, sockets too. I learnt to do it while working in the states because the last thing to go down is the finished floor (unless the wood is being sanded and has sheets/protection covering it. Honestly it makes life so much easiest, you could use a plum line too which is cheaper but takes longer. Looking forward to the bag, regardless I'll buy it cause I'm a tool and bag hoarder.
I've been using a digital spirit level for a number of years, a tool I would recommend if you do a lot of conduit or trunking and you have to run several lengths of conduit or trunking next to each other at angles , as you know it's not always possible to run trunking or conduit vertical or horizontal all the time
Cheers nick treated my self to 2 Unilite’s I got the il925 👍 and the 1750 lumnes power bank one cheers for code saving up now for new bag it’s my 50th birthday on 16th feb big shout out on next video would be nice off you guys keep up the great work love the videos and info 👍😉
Another great video but the smoke is in the wrong place should be 300mm away from the light and wall and really shouldn’t where it is it should be out on the landing the landing will fill with smoke before it gets to the detector due to the dropped doorways
Detectors should preferably be mounted on ceilings and should be located at least 300 mm horizontally from any wall or light fitting unless, in the case of light fittings, there is test evidence to prove that the proximity of the light fitting will not adversely affect the efficiency of the detector. Taken from bs5839-6. It’s preferable not you must. 300mm is not always achievable in some properties.
@@dannyboisparky Have you got the reference number for that one, I was going to get the Huepar 902CG but things got in the way, will buy sometime later in year, not sure which model. Good luck hope you get a deal.
Fitter by trade, not long been following. Great vids lads, bring on more banter vids, ignore the bad vibes. Where was the step little Chris from, looks abit more useful then the hopup
Look forward to the new load out bag . And l really like unilite light 🔦 I’ll have to order one.. + On the laser levels it’s something to save up for , The Dewalt DWO88K XJ Laser level red his great !! ⚡️👊
Excellent video as usual Nick! Looking forward to seeing the "Bundy Bag" and hope I win the giveaway as im in dire need of a new toolbag and can't afford to buy a new velocity one myself!
Another good vid. keep up the good work, Used your code and treated myself to a IL-175R Unilite, as it will be the right size to keep in my side pocket for my job that I do. Look forward to the next vid :)
Must admit that I am but a poor chippie, being in the trade since 1984 I have never heard anyone in the building industry use cm's. Is this a new thing? I was always told that we use mm's as on a drawing a mm could never be mistaken foe a m, but a cm could.
As always really nice job, and good job to Adam he is coming along way now well done to him. Just a quick question I'm clicking on the links you put for the laser and the spirit level it says purchase online but it gives you the option of a few companies to buy it from in your own opinion what is the best company to click on and to purchase it?
Are you just super tall, or are those doorways just REALLY short? You head seems to be pretty much touching the plaster work, and thats before the door frames have been added :\

That’s a belter
Use a spot laser it’s same idea but less hassle
Stealing this 😅🤣
Impressive laser and level.
As well as drawings/measurements, always take a photo of cable positioning, then you know if there's a reason for odd distancing
Don’t Smokey’s have to be 300mm away from light and walls?

Nice to see your not going down the "short" under a min a vid route like some of the others

Exactly how dryliners do it when pulling cables through ( if it’s up to them

Adam on that ladder with that gap worries me, keep him safe he’s a national treasure…

laser looks good, the 3 axis green laser i have off amazon for £70 looks no different though!
Is that the huepar?
@@dannyboisparky Huepar are excellent, much more prominent in Europe especially France and Germany and good prices too.

Amazing how uncomfortable a stairway can feel without railings - especially one that spans 3 floors.
Those ceilings too!
How low are they??! Bloody claustrophobic!

I don't trust my measurements
why do some people struggle to pronounce basic words. ipod is never spoken like 'ippod'. ibex is never 'ibbex'. imex will never sound like 'immex'.
In your ever so humble opinion.
