I love screwball because he's the only villain that Wander admits to being unable to reform. Even if he's not as powerful as Dominator or hater he's just always going to be a threat. Also he's the only character he will actually fight.
Just from this scene alone, I can actually understand why Wander hates Screwball. Forcing people to feel any emotion, even if it's positive, is wrong. People are meant to have free will for a reason.
The thing is I still don't understand it. Many villains forced others to be scared or admire them, yet Wander completely doesn't react as venomous to them as he does Dr. Screwball. The only reason I can come up with Wander taking screwball seriously is becaise it's a personal issue. Wander likes to make people happy only If they want to be. If you try and force them to be happy, he considers that a personal attack against what stands he for. Is like a personal attack against who he is. And it would probably make people believe Wander is happy because he is forced to, if Screwmall succeeds, and that would completely undermine everuthing he stands for. So he has to be serious to show he isn't happy at all what Screwball is doing. And actually joking and laughing with the banana would encourage the behavior and make it worse, in his eyes how people view happiness, not better. Just my two cents trying to understand this lol

Season 2 barely got started and this is already my favorite episode! It not only had this amazing "battle sequence", but it also had a really good message that Wander points out throughout the episode. That's that even though he likes to see people happy, he doesn't force them to; if they don't get into it, then he just leaves them alone and lets them live their lives as they choose.
