I really missed Cissy when she was fired. Understand being on time is crucial…..just wish they could have worked it out. She was incredible….such a showman!
Cissy wore this dress in several dance numbers on the show and she always looked lovely. Dancing like this is one reason that I loved the Welk show so much. Thank u 4 posting
i was born in 1960, and my parents were big LW fans. i watched it every sunday for i don't know how many years. my sister and i would make fun of bobby and cissy, and now, here i am in my 50s and watching these wonderful old clips. i love them now. my dad was a big fan of Cissy, but no one liked Bobby much at our house..lol. pretty entertaining and very happy memories.
My Dad always told me Bobby danced too stiff and introduced who Fred Astaire was to me as young kid in the 60's. Dad said Fred was the best dancer ever. He was right.
there are actually words to the trio of this song (chorus). Let's drink to wealth and to each others health as we sing and we play in high society. wish I had the full lyrics to give you. rarely sung now a days. I used to be in a US army band and we had a dixieland group. this is one of my favorite songs. oh and Barbara Boylan and Bobby Burgess do this one better in a mardis gras show from 1965.

Lawrence was extremely strict
Didn't pay well either. I heard when they would valet his car he'd give them pens with his name on instead of money
My grandparents were huge fans
Every Saturday PM
I was little in 60s but used to dance around the house when sissy was on😁

Bobby is just too handsome/pretty. But let's face it, this is like apples and oranges--too different genres of dance.
Comparing anyone to Fred Astaire is unfair. He was simply the best ever.
My Parents LOVED LAWRENCE WELK!!! A Sunday Night ritual in our house,,,or was it Saturday night....Geez,,,soo long ago,,I've forgotten
This is some good stuff.
Bobby Burgess still alive and well at age 83.
This is great!

No Comment, Watch an Listen.
Awesome
I took that to be something from Lawrence Welk.
Arte, y más arte ❤
Wow. They were athletes.
Wunnerful, wunnerful!
I *cringe* at Lawrence Welk. This is a big exception. The band is lively and tight, and Bobby & Cissy are better than usual in this dance. I love it!
Cissy looked so much nicer and younger after she cut her hair short.
Jaw dropping gorgeous
