  • Welcome to our the Breakers in Newport, Rhode Island. The breakers, located on Ochre Point Avenue, is a grand mansion that was built in 1895 for the Vanderbilt family.
Join me as I explore the opulent interiors of the Breakers, with its grand ballroom, ornate ceilings, and intricate details that showcase the luxurious lifestyle of the rich and famous in the late 19th century. I will also take you on a stroll through the beautiful gardens, featuring marble sculptures and fountains that add to the grandeur of this magnificent property.
Learn about the history of this iconic landmark and the stories behind the Vanderbilt family who owned it. Discover how the Breakers has become a symbol of the Gilded Age, and how it has evolved over the years to become one of the most visited tourist attractions in the region.

Can you imagine what those that enjoyed this lifestyle would speak about the hurried and almost antiseptic in design lifestyle we have today?
Thank you for the tour. I would truly enjoy visiting it myself someday. 😊

I think of all the people who built these houses and how they kept builders and architects, and artist working, not to mention all the staff it took to keep these places looking their best. Giving people work is some of the best things you can do for people to earn a living and build homes of their own even if they are not as grand as this.

Vanderbilts still live in the top floor. In the 1980s, a friend of my parents, who knew the Vanderbilts, invited me to accompany him on his annual visit to the Breakers. I foolishly said no and I live to regret they decision.

Definitely worthy for a trip including this wonder of the Breakers mansion! Your music and narration is also very smoothly perfect 👌.😁
