Yea the usb cable plugs into the Xbox and the mic but it can only power it. The voice signal can only come through the controller. Unless you have a PC and get into screen capture stuff.

I fixed it i had it on mute laad am using a Rode NT microphone tho havent been able to set it up for live chat and streaming ye tho do u know how to do that
@@caileangreene9409 should be a simple case of plugging the mic into the Xbox via the usb cable and then getting the splitter making sure the mic side is also plugged into the microphone

I’ve watched this plenty of times to make sure I was hooking everything up correctly. None of my audio actually goes to my stream. No mic audio or game audio. What am I doing wrong
Nautical 13F thanks for the feedback. It’s may way of trying to implement a bit of comedy in place of technical limitations. It was edited on a 10 year old Mac where every new voice layer would add an hour to the processing time so tried to keep everything on one track. It took about 10 hours to export in the end! lol I now have a PC and can easily do voice overs. But saying that, some people really enjoy the “like so”. It’s kinda retro

Yaaa i did all that but there was no audio in ma stream i can try again tho i might of missed something

If you have an xbox controller that has a 3.5 mm jack input built in already do you still need to get the headphone adapter for the controller?
Not sure, I haven’t tried it like that before. You’d need a way for the signal of the microphone to get to the controller
you don't need it but it has manual volume control on it
