.◦*´`✿✿¸✿¸. (✿◠‿◠) Here's a little video tutorial for absolute beginners, where I illustrate for you how I shape beautiful flower petals and leaves with an inexpensive oval brush. Even if you've never painted before, you'll come away with a little more confidence, and if you practice this, you'll also gain a little flair.
✿✿¸・。。・・。。・゜Watercolor art is a great way to help you relax, be in the moment and let go by wielding your brush and yet letting go when it comes to how the water and pigments will flow.
✿¸・。。・・。。・゜In this video we're going to take baby steps, learning brush strokes without the need to paint things exactly or perfectly -something I call "loose". That's why each flower has a different shape. Focus on the movement of the brush, loosen up your hand and be patient with yourself and just enjoy …
You'll notice our flowers vary in shape: some are open, others closed. It's all part of the process! Let's explore the beauty of simple brush strokes together. You'll be amazed at how much you can achieve with little effort. So, grab your brushes and let's start creating!
Supplies:
✿✿¸・。。・・。。・゜Using an oval synthetic brush from Royal & Langnickel size ¾ (1.90cm) to shape petals and leaves and a round brush size 10/0 from Jerry Q.

✿✿¸・。。・・。。・゜Painted on 140 lb (300g), cold pressed Canson watercolor paper. It's a good, affordable paper especially for beginners.
✿✿¸・。。・・。。・゜Colors used to paint the florals are from Mei Liang:
Sap Green A606, Deep Green A611 from Arteza.
Little note: While I did mention what brands I'm using, these are my choices based on research about quality and affordability. I'm not benefitting from the mentions of these brands. Find the resources that work best for you. In the beginning you certainly don't need anything expensive.
PS: If you notice that I mumble on occasion that's because I'm still getting comfortable painting and talking and publishing my work. Usually I work quietude with only soft music in the background.
