True. That final was ugly for watching. But that doesn't mean Bouzkova's title was undeserved. The way to Marie to the final was impressive and i think she will be one of the best in hard court season.

That would not be good enough against better opponents. There was a little effort to outplay the other player, just waiting for her mistakes.

Both Marie and Caroline have upped their games. They also use the same racket. I play with the Yonex Vcore as well and my game is considerably improved.
Bouzkova has been on the doorstep of winning tournaments for a while now so it's great to see her get one under her belt!!! She's been playing a lot lately and is match tough currently and she has the potential of winning against anyone right now.

@@simonpegg1196 Yeah I've seen her play. She plays just fine, has fantastic movement on clay as well. If you're talking about the grunting that's another thing (which Bouzkova does as well but not as much).

I didn't watch the entire match, but based on these highlights it seems like Bouzkova didn't hit a winner throughout the entire match yet still prevailed.
When you look up the word "lovely" in the dictionary, you see Marie's picture. I hope she wears the hot pink at the Canadian Open.
What a win by Maria Bouzkova. She during this tournament was extremely strong. She played incredibly well during this tournament. What an amazing tennis player she is. I am so happy that she finally won her first WTA singles tittle and that she did it at her home country. What an amazing feat by Bouzkova. She truly deserves this tittle. Potapova too was awesome overall. But she simply couldn't handle Bouzkova's superb tennis. In the end Bouzkova won this tournament, because she was the best one among all of the participants of this tournament. I think even if Kontaveit would have reached the Final, which she could have if umpires wouldn't have stolen from her the win against Potapova in Quart-final, Bouzkova would have still won it. Her performance was the best out all of the participants. She simply was way better than Kontaveit and all others who participated in this tournament. I wish to both Potapova and Bouzkova very good luck in the next tournaments. They both could be very strong during the hard court swing and have deep runs in US Open.
P.S. I love Bouzkova, Potapova and Kontaveit as athletes. I really do.

@@pierre6963 You simply can't accept the reality. She made her opponents play badly. Winning the whole tournament without scoring any winners is phenomenal achievement. It shows that she is phenomenal tennis player. She simply outplayed her opponents. She constantly forced opponents into errors. She was patient and deservedly won this tournament. So cry in the corner, loser.

If you were watching tennis regularly this year, that stupid Kontaveit has been throwing lots of game lately. How on earth did she earn her world number 2 spot. She play like a 50-100 ranking wta player. But all wta player is just the same, even the most consistent swiatek is falling recently

Potapova has great power, but I feel I can always count on her beating herself with all the errors she makes. I’m definitely seeing improvement from her making final however.

High level defensive play by Bouzkova. Great depth and keeping it to her backhand. Potapova struggling to hit through her. She should've changed her tactics. The way Potapova it the ball out in the end, she was definitely irritated by Bouzkova's style of play.

Unfortunately, the crowds were very unfair towards Anastasia Potapova. It is ashamed that the people display their dissatisfaction of some countries but not some other countries. Well, she played what she had to. Why try risking your shots, when you see that the opponent is struggling to even hit the court? Look, they are in finals, playing for points and money. They are not there to make highlight shots. Bouzková saw, that her extreme defense was working, so why fix something that isn't broken? Finals aren't usually the best matches of the tournament because of nerves and expectations....

Prague is the new Tashkent tournament: biggest joke yet strangest Wta250! Great practice path for Bouzkova who faced players between #120 and #425 until then. Thanks to Hibino and Potapova for clearing Marie's road from Krejcikova and Kontaveit. Another thanks to Potapova's odd game and behavior, flood of unforced errors giving the win so easy to the local who pumped herself after Anastasia's faults (instead her proper figures, aces, winners😂) #uponweird #worstfinalof2022
But we also need those types of tournaments that have low ranked players. It allows for some players to find points when in need. You can’t always have world number 1,2,3 and 4 as the first 4 seeds in a bloody 250 right before a masters in Canada.
It's a WTA 250 tournament and there were a couple of very good players playing.. what did you expect? They just lost and then the winners didn't play as well against Bouzkova.. but she definitely deserves the title.. I'm happy for her
@@mrnowak2835 I agree to let lower ranked players tournaments to play but my purpose is about Bouzkova's much helped path to the title and Potapova's pity and out of control showcase today. So often I notice 250's look like this: abnormal draw at the end, full of surprises and weird matches but that's my insight
@@anthonya9583 I'm giving my analysis and for me, winning a first tournament with opponent's unforced errors has a total differrent taste than having a big game! Bouzkova isn't a threat on tour, she needed to win a title somewhere to boost her confidence and be back into the top 50's, she managed it in her home country, helped by the draw, matchs played by others..etc..
@@oliverkally3286 She did reach the Wimbledon quarters and she was playing great.. she might not be the most offensive player but I've seen her be offensive a lot of the time and she has a relatively good serve.. in this match she couldn't be offensive cause Potapova is a really aggressive player.. but yeah I get what you're saying.. I think when she needs to, she is quite aggressive

Que tenis mas mediocre el de Potapova en esta final. No se corresponde con el tenis mostrado a lo largo de la semana. Algunas lecciones tuvo que aprender para la proxima. Recuerdo que en la entrevista en chancha despues de ganar la semifinal, al preguntarle sobre el partido de final que tendria contra Bouzkova, puso una cara de derrota y dijo: "hare lo que pueda". Los anteriores partidos contra ella los habia perdido. Entro ya derrotada a la final. Mentalmente ella estaba derrotada antes de empezar. Bueno, de seguro Sizikova se encargo de consolarla.
