@@Aboorey Uncle Tom was a famous character in a a 19th century book called UNCLE TOM'S CABIN. It is a terrible insult for an African American man to call another African American man an "Uncle Tom". It means someone who will cooperate with the Caucasian establishment to aid in brutality against black slaves. THAT is why Terrell called him by his former name, Cassius Clay. And what I said about Joe Frazier is true.
They were both brutal and both paid the price and many have forgotten and now praise younger fighters.
That stumbling he often did in the ring was priceless!
Just to clarify, I meant Joe Frazier, not Ali.
Cassius Clay is actually a pretty cool name.
It’s better than the name of a “prophet” who married a 6 year old girl
When Liston fired that gun at Ali, it was a joke. They were blanks.
I cant help but feel there was some kind of mutual respect between them. They were both excellent at their work. And they both knew it. ❤
Ali always brings a smile
to my face.
Ali was a beautiful boxer. Graceful poetry.
Dude. The guy described devastating punches as "brutal" 27 times. Not a bad voice and a fair analysis along with excellent editing. If you make another video please avoid the repetitious use of an adjective.
No matter who you are fighting in ring be very respectful of your opponent
“I’ll float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.” -Muhammad Ali
Ali in his prime years.
The Black Superman. He did more for boxing than any other fighter in history.
Superman is a fictitious comic book character. Not a real person
When Ali and Frazier got into that on-the-air confrontation, they didn’t box-they wrestled!
I'm not down with calling Joe Frazier a cocky fighter. He was Ali's equal.
Joe Fraizer held his own but was no Muhammad Ali.
@@aknavigates He was better. Ali never knocked frazier off his feat.
@@stewartkee6115in your dreams that Frazier was better than Ali.. I YOUR DREAMS. Frazier is a legend but he's nowhere near Ali he wouldn't ever be a champion if they didn't stole Ali's best years for being a human being. You're either a troll, a hater or an ignoramus
@@stewartkee6115foreman knocked Joe into the crowd nearly what are you talking about. Ali snatched the belt from foreman destroying his life nearly even knocked him down.. Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson number one Ali the best heavyweight EVER nobody comes close
To be fair, not many fighters in the day were cockier than Ali. 😊
Very true. He did mellow later in life. He had plenty of flaws. His rhetoric at times was also disrespectful especially toward Frazier.
B.S. it's only cocky when you can't back it up ...
@@messiahblackgod So Ali was in the right for saying Frazier was the Klans choice for champion? That was totally inappropriate and recklessly cocky. Smoking Joe deserved more respect than that.
So true 👍
Question for the old folk: Did you know watching Ali in this era that you were watching the Greatest of All time?
I was a kid but I knew he was incredible plus he spoke up for US with pride & no shame or yas sir massa ❤️🖤💚✊🏾
How can anyone accuse Smoking Joe of being cocky? Their 3 fights go down as the most devastating encounters in boxing or any fight history. Respect for both these Greats please.
I dont think ive ever seen him try before 😂😂😂😂😂
That was awsome
I saw Muhammad Ali in the early 2000's coming out Radio City Music Hall. He was walking behind me and at first I really didn't notice him until I turned around and noticed him right away. People walking in the street didn't really notice him. Only me and 2 other guys noticed him and they said "Champ" and they got his autograph and took a picture with him. At the time I didn't have a piece of paper where he could give me his autograph or a camera.
Even the GOATs from MMA like Jones,Izzy,Khabib,Conor etc..all inspired by Muhammad ali
was there ever a cockier fighter the Muhammed Ali?
He only used it to promote his fights.
There was no social media then.
He didn't believe half the things he said.
He was convincing if you think that he believed all the stuff he said.
The Media was very friendly to Ali& didn't give many of his opponents any respect at all..Joe Frazier,Ken Norton,George Foreman,George Chuvalo these were all tremendous fighter's..
What about Ken Norton (1)? He broke Ali's jaw and sent him to the hospital.
Norton never bad-mouthed or mocked Ali. It was mutual respect; Ali KNEW Kenny was underrated.
First of those two consecutive fights (Ken Norton and Joe)came back from 3yr exile in prison taken from his title but G.Forman whopped Mercilessly both Norton and Joe and he knocked out Joe 6 time in match then Ali Came back knocked G.Forman.
And other thing Tarrel was called Uncle Tom when he refused to pronounce Mohamed Ali.
Then what happened after is History.
And Ali came back and Whooped two times. You don't count that?
This man is far boxer.
I think you are meatweather fanboy.
Ali should have never came out of retirement to fight Holmes he didn’t need that fight he already proved himself enough with all the fight he had in the past especially if he was dealing with Parkinson
Larry Holmes proved nothing in that fight other than he could beat an old man.
Money 😊
How Muhammed Ali beautifully used that anger in the ring ! 👌👌👏👏
Muhammad Ali king 👑 of boxers ❤
Mr Mohamed Ali est mon idole depuis tjrs quel grand homme, il a beaucoup apporté au noble art. Reposé en paix Mr Mohamed Ali ❤❤❤❤
That was so brutal by Ali…he didn’t want to knock him out just so he can punish and taunt him all 15 rounds.
Ali: What’s my name?
Khabib: Let’s talk now
🐐
This era was 100 times better than MMA
If anyone was cocky it was Ali
A Champion's heart lives forever!!!!
Ali will forever be the Greatest!!
Muhammad Ali legend always ❤🦁💞
I love the dramatics before the fight Ali was an artist in the ring
No wonder Bruce Lee learned from Ali's footwork.
He really did float like a butterfly. 👍😎👍
I remember watching the Ali - Foreman fight. I believe it on what was called close circuit TV at that time. My buddy and I could not believe it as we watched Ali just lay on the ropes. Little did we know that was the beginning of his tactic he called Rope a Dope. Muhammad Ali is still champ in my book.
The man the myth the legend, MUHAMMAD ALI ❤
Liston shot a toy cap gun in the air toward Ali in a ca$ino when Ali came in to bother him. Not a real gun 😅
Hey Champ you dropped this
👑
It's Incredible and Amazing how fast Ali was by PUNCHING with his COMBINATIONS plus Ali's FOOTWORK like NOBODY ELSE , ONLY HIMSELF !
Please, Muhammad Ali was as cocky as they come.
But he had the skill to back it up
Thank you for this
Ron Lyle was not cocky. And Ali treated him with respect.
Those two know how to amp up a fight better than anyone today. They were friends for years and I'm convinced that they stage 98% of the pre fight "animosity"
Great video! I love Ali. I just wish we could Pixelate Don King out of all boxing videos. He is the Scumbag of the box world and did more harm to the sport than anyone I can thing of. As much as I love watching Muhammad fight along with the other great fighters of the time, seeing Don King in these videos just turns my stomach, what a disgrace!
