I grew up on Ali. He did more for Boxing than any other single man. And thankfully he had Howard Cosell. They were born to serve each other in Sports History.

The era of Ali, Frazier and Foreman was boxing's golden era. it was a lot of fun, highlighted by Muhammad Ali's win over the seemingly invincible George Foreman, who was 37-0 with 34 knockouts but never went past the 4th round. Foreman had destroyed previously unbeaten Joe Frazier in 2 rounds and was considered the favorite against Ali. But Ali went with his "rope-a-dope" and won in the greatest fight strategy I ever saw. Those were the days. Today, boxing is pretty much in the background, saddled by criminal promoters, fixers and loudmouth fighters. Muhammad Ali will always be my favorite boxer. R.I.P., Champ. 🥊🥊

Big George was 40-0w37ko, his second fight with Ken Norton they had a combined record of 73-3 and his first fight with Joe Frazier was the first time two undefeated HW champions had met for the title. Three of the greatest fights in HW boxing history

But think about how many of the top heavyweights of that era came to a bad end. I will watch videos of old fights. I will not watch matches in any martial sport, including scripted professional wrestling. I don't watch professional football either. Or college, although I still follow the pro and college storylines. I think it is abhorrent that after all the facts that came out about the neurological effects the players suffer, both the NFL and the colleges decided to increase the number of games they play.
If someone wants to write a book about the heavyweight division of the 1970s, I will give them a title, "There Were Giants", from the Biblical, _there were giants in those days._ It would be, in the end, a somber tome and a cautionary tale.

It is very rare to see Ali REALY angry. Against Terrell, we saw how an angry Ali looks: focused, brave, calculated, and vengeful. All of this is out of principles. RIP GOAT. This fight sheds light on Ali's character: there are things you cannot mess up with and all negative emotions must be kept under control.

You are a sucker for bad acting. Ali and Terrell were friends even when this went on. They both collaborated on this, its called a work, its what pro wrestling does. Terrel's family and ALi admitted it after Ernie died.Ali loved the fake stuff wrestlers did to sell fights, Its what he did.The only fighter who hated ALI was Frazier. Frazier hated Ali because when ALI WAS BROKE joe loaned him money. When Ali cam back he called joe an uncle Tom and a gorilla. However Terrell had a broken eye socket and the eye muscle caught on the broken bone. This meant Terrell was in terrible pain and he couldn’t move his eye, resulting in seeing double. Terrel called Ali,s former name while minimizing and sung a song clay.
When he said a uncle Tom it means some one else talks from Inside Terrel.
And Frazier was touch no doubt even Ali himself confirmed that. But they fight 3 times 15 round long. The first fight,s hook that dropped Ali was even in the 15 round and Ali Quickly stood without counting. But the fight ended.
The next two fights won by Ali.
And Ken Norton who broke Ali,s jaw won the first but Ali whooped two times after that imagine. This is the greatest of All time he invented Goat.
