Sorry my audio was recording through one channel only on this and a few of my other recent videos. I just fixed the problem for all my future videos, but I can't change the audio on this upload.
Also, I think I got the model number wrong on the Dewalt impact wrench that I tried, I think the correct model was DCF899. Let me know if I am wrong…Either way, I know it still wasn’t a fair comparison because of the chrome sockets that I was trying first. That’s just all I had with me at the time.

Here's a quick video showing how I replaced two stolen catalytic converters on a 2004 Toyota Tundra DoubleCab. This is my friend's truck, but I have the same truck in 4wd. I am still considering welding some rebar to make a cage or other anti-theft options such as a shield underneath so this hopefully won't happen to my truck as well. For now, I painted mine and these new ones with VHT Flameproof paint and stenciled and engraved the license plate numbers on them.

Installing these California C.A.R.B. approved Aftermarket Walker Catalytic Converters part numbers 83460 & 83451 worked to pass California Smog Check.
***But, make sure because some of the approvals have changed since I made this video.
If this hasn't happened to you and you have a 1st generation Toyota Tundra, you might want to look into protecting it before it does happen as these are being targeted for the valuable metal inside the converters.
I am sorry if this already happened to you and that's why you are watching this video, but I hope that it will be helpful if you decide to replace/repair it yourself.

Thanks for the vid , how many official CATs does the first Gen tundras have , I had one stolen now my monitors are all set , but the smog guy said mine is supposed to have 3 . Thanks .
Look on Magnaflow youtube channel, How to Select the Correct Catalytic Converter - California, then go to there site and look up by vehicle and state. 2000-02 Tundra v8 in california has one left, right and rear. Hope that helps.. I couldn't find this on official Toyota sites.

the Walker cat is the better one. Link is in the description. I did get the check engine light after 6 weeks with the cheaper one that I put on first.
The Walker Brand CARB version is working fine now
I'm surprised that new gaskets and fasteners weren't included with the new Walker catalytic converters. I'm thinking a buying a CC shield, but I would like to replace the passenger side CC, since it's original on my 03 Sequoia (301K miles). The left side was replaced at about 265K miles.
For the first option you listed in the description, do you think it will work on a Sequoia as well? I have a 2004 sequoia sr5 and recently had my car stolen .
I think so, but you can check on their website for compatibility to make sure
will this fit a 2006 double cab?
Does the universal have a left side as well or are they both driver and passenger, it says position is only for right
I believe the universal weld on converters are the same for both sides.

Non oem ones will cause a p0420 check engine light
So far, this truck has not had the check engine light come back on. The owner doesn't drive it much, but it's been about 6 months and so far so good. I will update the video if the check engine light comes on with that code P0420.
