- In this DCS World video, I review the "Paradise Lost" Campaign, by Reflected simulations, for the UH-1H in DCS World. Paradise lost is a single player campaign and, well, welcome to Vietnam.
Don't forget to take a look at my good friends over at the Air Warfare group:

Awesome video, thanks so much for the support! Yeah, I agree, the DCS AI could really use some updates and 'smartening', but hey, as they say, 'we gotta cook using the ingredients we have' :) Looking forward to the playthrough videos.
Well, you made a michelin star meal pal.
Excellent account of what to expect, thanks
Hands down the best campaign I've flown to date. Finally have chance to fly Huey in all it's element! The variety in missions is outstanding. The worst part of the DCS ai has always been troops & choppers, to actually make a workable campaign with them deserves a medal. I'm looking forward to replaying it with my full 60s soundtrack.
Charlie don't surf, sir.
It’s a great mission at the end
Mac has such a sexy voice.
You mean George? :)
Would have been better if he was a Scottish immigrant 😉
Nice overview and excellent cinematography. Your comments on the skill required to successfully fly the campaign are spot on. When I began it, I thought that I could fly the Huey pretty well. This campaign showed me otherwise. What I knew was how to fly a moderately loaded Huey in light winds and good visibility. Maneuvering, hovering, landing, and departing a heavy ship in a confined space, with rain, a 10 kt wind, people yelling, sometimes at night, while bullets are flying is a completely different level of skill. Reflected is good at getting you out of your comfort zone.
The campaign is great. The trailer is also great. When you finished it you can try the transport tycoon free campaign ;)
I will probably try this one out at some point. However there is an alternative to get the most out of not having to fly with AI controlled helis and what not, simply throw together a planned event for alot of people to partake in.
We did such an event a while back this year and it was an absolute blast -> ruclips.net/p/PLmWgplg442jeD5z4yyvaGL0XMJvYIEucV&si=abL5QrvSlCPP0f-o
I have the campaign and enjoy it very munch. I would recommend to purchase it.
Munch lol. I like that word
Looks great.
Great job, but .... the senior pilot sits in the right seat and rookie co-pilot sits in the left seat (helicopters/helos only).
Not in the Huey they didn’t. Source: Robert Mason, Chickenhawk.
Appreciate the excellent review, man. 👍🏾
I didn’t know you could tune into a music frequency. Which radio and what frequency.
VHF 117.2 it’s in the kneeboard
@@TacticalPascale thanks man. Guess I missed it well glance at the knee board.
Looks polished. I tried the Fear the bones campaign, by the same maker, and right away found myself unable to clear the first mission. For those that have the ability it seems like high quality work though!
Well done, thank you for the review.
8:01 you know what else breaks immersion? seeing high rise cranes in places where they dont belong. Like in the middle of a neighborhood in a deserted area, this jungle, right next to a day care and a fishing marina.
The big problem with this campaign, the Marianas map, which runs like absolute crap in VR
I’ve not had a huge issue with that in VR, but I do know some will.
Same issue here, would love to play this campaign but i cant get any decent performance with that map
6:35 call me woke or anything, but this here is why I will not buy this great campaign. The campaign overall seem good, but I can't bring myself play it.
Now if there is a Pol Pot like campaign (another war where Huey is involved, although I don't see American flying in PVAF colour anytime soon :D ) or a South Vietnam perspective, I would gladly pay double :D
They made this the setting because they don't have a vietnam map, sadly.
Your cinematography is getting better and better! Great review, so many modules to learn but the Huey is getting pushed to the top of the queue.
Thanks
Oh no, someone is using some naughty words stop the game and send them tissues 😂
If someone is upset with swear words, why are they playing it? So really a mute point there petal.
It’s the racist terms used for the enemy that bothered me, not the profanity as stated in the video.
Having completed two tours of Afghanistan I’m well aware of what’s required in war.
But this isn’t war, it’s a computer game in which, I feel, the use of those terms was unnecessary.
@@TacticalPascale I think its a valid point and can see why people wouldn't want that, but at the same time where should the line be drawn? Some people consider "Kraut" and "Jap" to be derogatory, but excluding those from the script of a WW2 campaign would seem a little odd imo. To me this one seems right around the borderline without clearly crossing it, just my two cents.
@@TacticalPascale It's an interesting question. I loathe racism, bigotry and all the narrow minded attitudes that these go with hand in hand. But in those books/ movies these terms were used widely, and my main aim was to recreate it as accurately as the game permits. I meant absolutely no offence. Just like I hate nazism too, but I was bummed having to remove the swastika from the tails of the Luftwaffe fighters in my campaigns due to legal reasons. In my mind it's all reenactment.
I completely understand. In the review I was just making people aware that these things exist in the campaign.
please turn the morse off. it is only used when you first tune a reciever to make sure you're on the right freq and then muted
Edit: oh I see, you're saying for the purpose of making the video.
Come on..stop with the damn wokeness. History happened.
I mention the fact that there are derogatory terms used so people are aware. The campaign would have been just as good without them being used.
That's something I like from the review. Pascale understood people have differing tastes in their videogame experiences and warned the langage may not be liked by all so we can make an informed decision on buying it. To some it will improve historical immersion, to others it will spoil the immersion and feel out of place or "over the top".
@ so if it one person wants it in and other one doesnt that means its not just as good with or without.
I just tried the Huey and I loved it so much I bought it and the Apache preorder. I never really gave the choppers a chance but now I’m digging it
Have a look at Rotor Ops by Grimm on the ED site. It’s a very fun mission generator for helos. Video out soon.
I need to get my practice in.
