This is actually a very good video showing riders why rhythm is so important. We all make the mistake of getting ahead of our horses when jumping and you can see why that's a no-no. The girls whose horses stopped, but they were back with their upper bodies did not fall/managed to stay on. For those who don't understand the urgency of getting the rider back on---that is an old school mentality---get them back on fast before they get afraid. My guess is they were in warm up at a show and perhaps she was due in the ring---but as you can see, rushing is not something that will end positively. The fact it was so windy likely caused the intital problem.

that girl at 2:00 was way to big for that pony, and i hate how half of these people yank on the reins after the fall off to get the horse to stop moving, it only makes it worse

Veronika Zelová it was probably mounted games. Races, and other fast and agile activities. They probably had to switch horses but the person in the black coat didn’t lift the rider up far enough to give her a proper leg up, but the rider should have been closer to the left. (Towards the horses shoulder) so that she could have landed in the saddle and grab her stirrups. But her leg obviously fell onto the horses butt and spooked it a little and it ran off. It it isn’t that crazy of a event, especially in a stable team. Or a pony club etc.
as a horse crazy kid with a pony we did all kinds of risky things, but jumping always terrified me. We used to go and watch at the local equestrian centre during competitions and I saw some pretty scary crashes. Never really got past that, we'll hop over a small log on the trail but I don't even like jumping ditches!

Yes can kill the horse if you hold to tight they panic and there is two options for the horses or flip over on there back (what can kill them) or run away so dont say that if you dont know that there are more options😤
Horses have sensitive skin and mouths. It doesn’t kill the horse, but imagine a bite in your mouth being pulled down. If you’re that stupid to hold onto the reins after falling, maybe you shouldn’t be riding at all.
if you are out in a open field and you fall off and your horse runs away, what are you going to do???? yes it hurts the mouth but it’s safer than having it run away. in an arena, yea probably best to let go, but some of you guys are pussies
Seventh rider had a good jump at the parallel spread, but let the horse bowl on a bit and ended up half a stride out. After the spread, needed to sit back a bit, keep hold for two strides. Horses can take upright fences in trot easily if they need to, as long as you have your leg on and ask them to. Make sure to walk the distances in doubles and combos, and know what your horse is likely to do. An ascending spread will jump differently to a parallel. I think if the rider had attacked the first element a bit stronger, the horse would of made one stride to the upright. Nice genuine horse.

A lot of the problem with most of these falls is that the rider hangs on to the horses mouth. It's clear that the horse doesn't like suck a tight hold on the bridle. Also. one of the videos, obviously that person fell. The ground was too wet. The biggest problem however, is the horses body language after the rider falls. clearly the horse gets punished for his rider's mistakes. None of these people are bad.. they just.. aren't quite sure what they're doing wrong.
Yes, it would hurt the horses mouth, but it’s a human reaction. We don’t know how many times they’ve fallen, maybe normally they’re really good but the stress of the show made them not be able to focus. I would probably let go if I ever somehow fell off (the horse I ride is old and gentle), but I can understand why these people are holding onto the reins.

Tenth rider had a great jump over the first part of this triple combo, then I think he tried to get the horse back onto its haunches to take the second part and the horses legs slid too far under it. Hard to see with that pillar in the way.
Eleventh rider needed to get the horse back after the big jump over the first spread, but let it extend its stride between the two fences. Took a pull too late half way through and ended up half a stride away. DutchSingerXx Sometimes you need to, especially when in an open area, better hurting the horses mouth a bit then having his legs caught in the reins or reins caught on something and pulling a muscle or worst case scenario breaking a leg

Not really but at the same time yes, the horse was really anxious and stressed so when the rider still got him to the competition he was stressed and didn’t jump or he would just ruffly stop
The reason the horses are running away from the riders is because they know that every time they refuse a jump they’ll get hit, and by falling that increases the anger the rider has towards the horse. Horses know when they are in danger, it’s a fight or flight response. That’s also why my horse doesn’t run away when I fall or he refuses a jump. I just smile and don’t get mad. If riders aren’t going to hit their horses and get frustrated, horses don’t have to react.
Rancher Girl not necessarily, sometimes it’s because they were getting spunky in the first place and wanted to run, other times it’s because they don’t want to keep working lol. Sometimes it is because people get mad at their horse, but that’s generally not the case
i have seen some disgusting things in showjumping of riders who are beating the horse up because it doesn't jump. I don't understand these things are still happening
I love white, it stands out in the show ring. The only reason why it isn’t meant for horses is because as soon as the rider hits the ground, it gets ruined! There’s no getting those stains out! 😂
I fucking HATE it when people fall of and hold on to rains. Like having a bit isn't bad enough you hold on to the rains so tightly your horse is literally dragging you along the ground and not to mention how dangerous it is if you let go and the rains are over the horses head dangling down ready to get a leg court so please just let go when you fall of and 9 out of 10 times that horse will just stand there.
XxHorsesEchoXx F Yet letting go can also give the horse chance to spook and take off, possibly ending up outside the arena and putting not only itself in danger, but others around it also. Especially in open arenas.
Well, you have to think about what the rider is thinking. Your mind really goes to “I need to stay on” so you naturally try and hold on to anything. Plus it’s hard to think about that stuff when you are in the state of panic.
The first time i ever fell off i did a somersault when i feel off the neck... I said: "That sumersault earned an A+ in gymnastics." I WAS IN SHOCK OKAY?!
Fifteenth incident. Very difficult to analyze when looking directly from behind. My guess is from what I can see, the rider lost contact at the fence which allowed the horse to drop the head to gaze adoringly at the ladder filler. Very nice riding at the previous upright.
It’s really hard to let go, especially when things are happening so fast! It’s like, you feel you’re self slip out of the saddle and then you’re looking at your horses nose XD

Rancher Girl not necessarily, sometimes it’s because they were getting spunky in the first place and wanted to run, other times it’s because they don’t want to keep working lol. Sometimes it is because people get mad at their horse, but that’s generally not the case
Thats right Rancher Girl
Rancher Girl is
Clearly you haven't spent a day in a jumper barn
i have seen some disgusting things in showjumping of riders who are beating the horse up because it doesn't jump. I don't understand these things are still happening
Im so sorry but the way how she fell at 2:00 and they played the song Say Something... lmao i caaant🤣🤣
2:10 как можно упасть так с пони ?😂
I love white, it stands out in the show ring. The only reason why it isn’t meant for horses is because as soon as the rider hits the ground, it gets ruined! There’s no getting those stains out! 😂
0:18 to jest albo czeski albo słowacki XD
I like how the riders handled their horses and got up when they fell
1:20 wtf was going on???
"Yeah, my horse just LOVES to jump!"
2:02 way to big for the horse
The horse is a gentleman he lets ladies go first
Most of these were completely the riders fault
2:10 Wow that’s the humor we need

I fucking HATE it when people fall of and hold on to rains. Like having a bit isn't bad enough you hold on to the rains so tightly your horse is literally dragging you along the ground and not to mention how dangerous it is if you let go and the rains are over the horses head dangling down ready to get a leg court so please just let go when you fall of and 9 out of 10 times that horse will just stand there.
It’s stupid when people hold onto the reins. It can spook and agitate the horse more....
XxHorsesEchoXx F ii
XxHorsesEchoXx F Yet letting go can also give the horse chance to spook and take off, possibly ending up outside the arena and putting not only itself in danger, but others around it also. Especially in open arenas.
Well, you have to think about what the rider is thinking. Your mind really goes to “I need to stay on” so you naturally try and hold on to anything. Plus it’s hard to think about that stuff when you are in the state of panic.
LET 👏🏻 GO 👏🏻 OF 👏🏻 THE 👏🏻 REINS 👏🏻
Poor horse😢
Accidents happens
Yay so excited for my first show this Sunday now that I’ve seen this 😂
1.18 Dummheit hat die Tonnen weise😫😫😵😵🤣🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
The first time i ever fell off i did a somersault when i feel off the neck... I said: "That sumersault earned an A+ in gymnastics." I WAS IN SHOCK OKAY?!
Fifteenth incident. Very difficult to analyze when looking directly from behind. My guess is from what I can see, the rider lost contact at the fence which allowed the horse to drop the head to gaze adoringly at the ladder filler. Very nice riding at the previous upright.
George Prime lol time stamps would be nice 😂
LET GO OF THE REINS. jesus
It’s really hard to let go, especially when things are happening so fast! It’s like, you feel you’re self slip out of the saddle and then you’re looking at your horses nose XD
A pony can be too big for a person but a person cannot be too big for a pony 1:57
Sometimes, but your right. That pony is a good size for her
