I just found this channel. Between the music, the drone shots, and the little facts about the terrain, you might just be one of my new favorites on RUclips. Excited for more! Thank you
They certainly checked off many boxes of what I'd want in a build, especially the dual battery setup for charging all the media gear. That alone came in handy big time! Definitely check out Alaska Overlander for more details 👍
Amazing video my man. Alaska is a stunning place and I cannot wait to check it out someday! I’m sure your dad is looking down with a big smile watching you guys explore the area. Excited for the next one!
Another great video! I did the Dalton up to the Arctic circle by motorcycle a few years back, it was awesome. I also rented due to still working. I tell everyone you need to go to Alaska once in your life. Greetings from Florida.
Sincerely appreciate the support, thank you so much! 3 years will be here before you know it. Alaska is such a wild and incredible place to see. Already planning our next venture back there... 😉👍
really well put together video, good choice of music and beautiful seinery, getting away for a five day solo trip in April with my 2016 4runner, can't wait, keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
Not a downside at all…having my own rig allowed me to experience and grow in my abilities to take on trails, river crossings, etc. I had the best guide ever! Thank you for watching and sharing thoughts 😊
Thanks Dave! This trip was certainly eye opening with the vast amount of landscape to witness in Alaska. Already looking forward to getting back up there.
Beautiful series so far man! You definitely are experiencing more of Alaska than I did on my trip up there. Inspired by you and a couple other RUclipsrs (who I think might be the same ones who you gave you inspiration for some of your destinations) my list for next time has definitely grown. Thank you for sharing your beautiful experiences!
Appreciate the kind words and support, thank you very much! Feel like we all draw some kind of inspiration in many different ways to get up there. Our initial visit was incredible and more than I would have ever thought it to be. Already looking forward to our next venture up there!
Dude, is this your mom taking this long journey with you?? that is so cool! I tried to get my mom to come with me on a day trip and she wasn't down. lol. One of my bucket list items is to go up to Prudhoe Bay just to say I did it. Good luck to you bro.
Haha, it really wasn’t too terrible! Granted some nights were certainly colder than others but with the warm layers and a couple blankets I slept pretty good overall. Would have certainly not turned down a heater if offered though! 😆
Nice, I hope to make it up there maybe this summer and if not by next summer. I live in your neck of the woods although I think you're a bit north of me here in Puyallup Wa. and soon I will be heading for some camping on So. Padre Island while I wait for SpaceX to test their newest rocket and if I'm back home soon enough to do a Alaska run I might just do that although my main goal is actually in Canada at Tuktoyaktuk but I want to go to places in Alaska also.
Michael, was just at iKamper today and saw your rig! What hoodie is mom wearing in this video? The brown one. Would you mind asking for a Patron? Thanks 😊
Honestly no. We made sure to keep a clean and tidy camp while putting away all food and garbage within the vehicles. Should a situation had arisen, we were prepared with other alternatives as well 😉
Thank you for the support! I use a very budget friendly Lumix G-85 camera. It's not loaded with all the fancy tech like the updated models or other brands but it gets the job done for now.
Doesn't really matter to be honest, either of those rigs or anything with AWD or 4x4 will do the trick. Roads we encountered required nothing too special in terms of the vehicle. 😉 👍
you just need something super reliable like a toyota tho because you dont want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere, i personally like 4unners better tho
Depends on the road conditions at the given time. I saw a couple sedans driving it to a certain point but I'd strongly suggest something with AWD or 4x4 with at least quality All Terrain terrains to hold up against the rough road.
Tell the boss to give more vacation time and gas budget and I will, can easily be done. Only issue most don’t realize is the substantial drive from the lower 48. Nothing like driving all that way to then drive more… Besides, these rigs just look x10 better than any passenger car could 😉
Nope. Couldn’t be happier to not have done it. Your comment alone showcases you missed the entire meaning of this trip, why we are there, and what is still ahead of our journey for the days devoted later on. I wish you the best on you future travels and “completing” the road. ✌️
To be fair, there isn't much north of the Brooks. Another 30-40 miles north of where they stopped and it would have been the same scenery to the coast. Furthermore, you can't see the Arctic ocean unless you get a tour through one of the oil companies as it is gated off 8 miles off the coast. They could have driven another ~30 miles to Galbraith campground and stayed there, but also understand turning at the top of the pass.
lol there's a buccee's sticker on that gas tank.
Well, i had changed my mind on this trip, but now i'm sold again! Thanks to this video!👍👍👌🙌
That's awesome to hear! Alaska is such a beautiful place to visit!
Thanks for all the tidbits of background info!

Thank you so much for the kind words, sincerely appreciate it!!
Cinematography, drone shots, scenes gives me thrills
This was a well edited video. As a backpacker Ive seen my fair share of spectacular views but overlanding trips are something special.
those Toyotas look rugged! awesome!
They certainly checked off many boxes of what I'd want in a build, especially the dual battery setup for charging all the media gear. That alone came in handy big time! Definitely check out Alaska Overlander for more details 👍
Just started watching your videos after a RUclips recommendation. Great content!

Appreciate it man, means a lot! Who know's what the future may hold, may have to join ya on the next venture up there 😉👍
now that is some car-camping!
Beautiful captures. Wonderful edit. Very heartwarming and inspiring. Thank you ❤
Sincerely appreciate the support and kind words, means a lot!

Thank you for the support! Couldn't agree more, Alaska should be on everyone's list to see at least once. The landscape is simply incredible!
driving separate vehicles gives you backups, but driving together and saving driving duties would be nice
One of my goals was to tackle the trails on my own. I had the best guide ever…my son.😊. Best experience ever.
Amazing to relive this adventure
So glad we were able to accomplish this trip together! 😊
Beautiful adventure. Hope to make a trip like this in the future thanks for sharing
Thank you for the support! Definitely put Alaska on your list to visit, absolutely breathtaking there.
Awesome series, thank you!
Much appreciated, thank you so much!
Happy for you brother. I’ll get there in 3 years.
Thanks for the inspiration

Appreciate the support, thank you! The 5 day trip sounds amazing, have fun out there!
Nice job on the video
The only downside I can think of is sharing that experience in separate vehicles. Stay safe. Thank you for sharing. 🤟

Awesome! This looks life changing
Thanks Dave! This trip was certainly eye opening with the vast amount of landscape to witness in Alaska. Already looking forward to getting back up there.
Amazing!
Thank you so much!
Amazing 👏 thanks for sharing! Love it

Awesome!
Interesting channel. Good luck !
Quote from a friend: I have a tear!
😊
Well done 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Brian!! 🙌
Honestly don’t think I could do the camper top up there unless it was summer. Too cold for me just watching and it’s not even winter yet 😂
Haha, it really wasn’t too terrible! Granted some nights were certainly colder than others but with the warm layers and a couple blankets I slept pretty good overall. Would have certainly not turned down a heater if offered though! 😆
Cold or bitting bugs, your choice : )
cool :)
Epic.
Appreciate it! 👊
Good content
Thank you!
Cool video but I'm planning my trip during the winter season. You can make this same trip in a Prius during this time of year to be honest.
To each their own, at the end of the day our priority was the experience itself. The vehicles are just a tool to the larger picture 😉👍

love to do the Dalton! What time of year did you guy"s do the trip?
Michael, was just at iKamper today and saw your rig! What hoodie is mom wearing in this video? The brown one. Would you mind asking for a Patron? Thanks 😊
The jacket is from Beyond Clothing. Kept me nice and warm ☺️
This is the exact one: beyondclothing.com/products/mens-dawa-sherpa-fleece-k3-jacket?variant=32505151094846
Hey great video just curious on what app you’re using on the tablet on the dash
What were the dates you went up the Dalton?
I’ll never complain about gas prices again it’s 3.50$-4$here In Hartford ct
Haha right! Far north Alaska is pretty rough on prices but all part of the adventure I suppose 😉
Howdy?-perect ,goodbye!~
Were you all ever worries about bears while you were cooking and camping near that stream?
Honestly no. We made sure to keep a clean and tidy camp while putting away all food and garbage within the vehicles. Should a situation had arisen, we were prepared with other alternatives as well 😉
What tires are you guys running?
Rubber
Sweet vid!
What do you use to record your video?
Thank you for the support! I use a very budget friendly Lumix G-85 camera. It's not loaded with all the fancy tech like the updated models or other brands but it gets the job done for now.
Tacoma or 4Runner is best for this or both ?
Doesn't really matter to be honest, either of those rigs or anything with AWD or 4x4 will do the trick. Roads we encountered required nothing too special in terms of the vehicle. 😉 👍
you just need something super reliable like a toyota tho because you dont want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere, i personally like 4unners better tho
A normal sedan , is it possible ?
Depends on the road conditions at the given time. I saw a couple sedans driving it to a certain point but I'd strongly suggest something with AWD or 4x4 with at least quality All Terrain terrains to hold up against the rough road.
@@ConquestOverland Doubt I'll get there as I'm in Australia but aways been fascinated by the north. 😊.
I want to see somebody attempt this trip with a Honda Civic.
Tell the boss to give more vacation time and gas budget and I will, can easily be done. Only issue most don’t realize is the substantial drive from the lower 48. Nothing like driving all that way to then drive more… Besides, these rigs just look x10 better than any passenger car could 😉
hope some day will be bridge between Russia and USA! and people start traveling w/out hassle over The Bering Strait!
For sure!
You really didn't finish the road? WTF
Nope. Couldn’t be happier to not have done it. Your comment alone showcases you missed the entire meaning of this trip, why we are there, and what is still ahead of our journey for the days devoted later on. I wish you the best on you future travels and “completing” the road. ✌️

Add in the weather at this time of the year is unpredictable. Snow could show up anytime. No sense risking it.
Started watching this video until until they brought up the stupid bus.
