Normally we would anchor up just after a bend in the river, try to anchor the boat on the current seam, and cast towards the trees, up into the current and just keep line tension, let the current do the work. A side note for this technique jig weight matters if your jig doesn’t glide across the bottom in the current you need to change up the jig weight. If you are not getting bit change color certain colors are hot certain years. You will not feel most bites either, just watch your line, if your line stops drifting it is either caught on brush, your jig is too heavy or you’ve got a fish. Hope this helps! Also is there going to be a video on the swamp donkey? I know you didn’t do the best but I still wanna see your perspective. Maybe a short video about what happened, what you liked and disliked about that tourney.
On the 3 way rig, you can replace the hook and minnow with either a spinner rig and minnow or a small floating minnow crankbait and slow troll the channel edge or any current breaks, or eddies.
Ayyyy let’s gooooooo. Loving the edits dog
Thanks man! 🙏🏼
Solid vid bud 👍🏻
This time of year, water is still cold and it’s a grind. Glad you caught a walleye. Beats a skunkin any day.

Good call! Thanks for the tip!
You're welcome. I'd have suggested a leech or crawler on the spinner harness but I think it's to early in the season for that.
By troll do you mean drift? It's illegal to troll on the wolf river.
@NL fisher. Not knowing the local laws about trolling I meant trolling. The law being what it is then I suggest drifting.
You should do the Willow flowage in Hazlehurst
That would be fun!
Use your wolf river rig but change the bottom weight with a 3/8 jig and run your treble hook or a fly on your upper line.
Thanks for the advice!
survived a near skunkin' .... sometimes that's cool though :)
True!
Is that Tanner Mann?
Good grind better than zero eyes should do a video on rock river sometime
For sure!
The current has been so fast that all we have been doing is anchoring in slack water areas and we have been doing really well
That’s what we ended up finding!
It's obvious you have no idea what you're doing. Better luck next time though. Glad you caught one though.
Wowwwwwwwwowwowowwo
