I own the game and I'm certain Sonic Drift was never on there. Sonic Drift is an unlockable extra in Sonic Adventure DX which also had a release on PSN. If you happen to own them both on PS3, maybe that was the mix up??
It's a mix of both, because the copy of the game doesn't exist anymore on the Sega Genesis PS3 Collection anymore. . It reminds me of Mandela, but it may be true Lost Media

the only classic era sonic racing games were sonic drift 1 and 2 and sonic R i am a todal sonic nerd and the only lost media sonic racing games were the ones on the JP phone servace and i know you dont mean those so idk what you are looking for the cloasest thing i can think of for what you might mean is the sonic triple tornado special stages but even thats a streatch
