Binge 40 years now. 1982 , Mom asked me to beta-max some for my Grandfather who became bed ridin' from medical malpractice. They're all gone now but the beta still works. They were really on the large size, you did get a lot more for your money, back in the 50's and early 60's; as far as commercial products went. Lol, even the 'trial sizes' were 2x,3x larger than.
Those were samples magnified to show the product up close, to show the label and how clear the shampoo was. Like how McDonald’s shows perfect burgers on their menu but what you receive is different...
No doubt Mabel knew she'd be asked to dance as she had tap shoes on. And she dances like a pro, her feet have a mind of their own showing a lifetime of training and performing. But afterwards she looked to be under duress, I think she threw herself into that dance with exuberance and it took its toll. Her gentleman Russian partner looks to take notice, shows concern repeatedly, as she makes slow adjustments to come back into her all in rejoining the game. It is a bit worrisome to watch her, I want to offer her a chair to sit down. Her performance was delightful and took her back to when she was young, but not without the price to pay afterwards. I hope she slept well that night.
America has gone from an empire of gold and silver to one of iron and rust! Bring back suits, dresses and manners. Get rid of rap music, sweat pants, social justice warriors and these thug kids!!!
Amen, Trevor Peddicore! Thankfully, President Trump will help God to restore America Her former glory... sadly, the work ethic, Christian values, class and good manners seem to be gone forever... The 1950's were truly the Golden Age of America.
@@laurastone6578 Thanks for the clarification. Guess I'm not used to modern terminology. I'm more accustomed to hearing something like, "Good on her'" (As in - looks good on her) The world is always changing, and I never get a notification...lol
I seriously think Mable was in coronary distress after that tap dance. She was struggling to breathe and sweating greatly. When she left the stage she practically ran off. Wouldn't be surprised if she didn't need medical attention off stage.
The duck woman appeared as a guest in one of the episodes where she talked about being a trainer in a gym. Wonder if that was a made up story or really true. Thanks for the new upload. Hoping to see more! Best wishes, Firdaus
I have one and a half comments regarding Vladimir Babishvili, he was neither a Russian nor a Slav. The Georgians are a a non-Slavic people living in the Caucasus. They were conquered and annexed into the Russian Empire in the 19th century. (Joseph Stalin himself was a Georgian whose real last name was Dzhugashvili, and he was never entirely at home with the Russian language.) In addition, I think most Georgians would take exception to their country being called a part of "Asia."
519DJW It wasn't meant as a political statement, for goodness sake. It was simply a geographical clarification. Eastern Europe, Western Asia, potato/potahto. Please.
Lots of famous "Russians" were actually Georgians. Since I'm a chess player, I know that Tigran Petrosian, who was World Champion from 1963-1969, often called one of the greatest "Russian" grandmasters, was from Georgia.

I couldn't be happier to be the 1000th like to this great video of Groucho in his greatness.
I'd love to have heard her stories from her Vaudeville days -- she and Groucho could have taken quite a stroll down memory lane!
This ol' gal dancing, is amazing for a young 70 year old firecracker.
That Firecracker could dance! Hope I can move like that when I'm 70!
She died a few days after her performance 😢
Wow! Mabel the Firecracker 🧨 Woooo👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😍 What a Fantastic dancer! Lovely lady, bless you 🙏🏼😍
You Bet Your Life is one of TV's greats.
that was awesome of Groucho to do what he did to help. you wouldn't see that to day
I'll some prayers for him.
I might buy the series and binge watch for year...they're that good!!
Kevin Judy - You do that, and I'll see you next year...ttGsy

I just love these commercials!
YES!
me too!
Groucho.......A Master of his craft.
Its nice to hear jokes without cursing in them
Loved Mabel’s dance!
Watching again and I just noticed the "why a duck?" reference. Clever.
That was also part of a gag Chico used in one of their movies.

The commercials are a riot. None of that worked on my hair but there wasn't much else back then.

Groucho was the best !

"Salome, When She Danced" can now be rightly changed to "Mabel, When She Danced"...
At 70, the woman was undeniably good!

Agreed.....she looked to still be winded 5 minutes after she finished dancing.
Yes, sadly she passed away only three days later after giving that performance.
3 days later? Oh how sad.

Apart from the ads this show was very amusing. I presume much as 'prepared' carefully but seems ad lib. excellent.
The adds were damn near as funny as Groucho.
Marineland shout out! Went there in the 50s...
The girl in the Adorn spots looks like Sgt Carter’s girlfriend, in Gomer Pyle USMC.
Ah, the old days when commercials didn’t scream at us or talk too fast or even (gulps) use sex to keep American men in heat.
That shower scene was pretty racy for the time.
“If I was any closer I’d be standing behind you”.

Why did Ru Paul's Drag Race come to mind while watching the Adorn commercial at 10:00?
Because those same folks use the same mantras. “I love myself”

Why a duck?
Mabel is a stich.
70 years old and that much get up and go..
To me her hand felt like a cold piece of salmon
Who was the girl with the comb, in the Adorn commercial? I know she became an actress that I recognize, but I don't know her name.
That was the actress, Adolf Hitler, she tried to conquer the world back in 1939 too!
I think it was Doris Day .
No, it was Barbara Stuart, who played Bunny…Sgt Carter’s girlfriend, in Gomer Pyle.
Swanee River ??
