May the creator bless you. This is so easy to understand. Thank you 🙏🏻
You are an amazing professor , thank you so much , you made it so easy for me to understand this categorical variable
Great to hear from you ! Welcome back
Just wanted to let you know your cadence is really great and consistent, I had the video playing at 1.25 and didn't even realize it was sped up

Its good to see you back
Thank you for a step by step clear explanation!
I really enjoyed the classes thank you.
Very straightforward and very simple.
Thanks.
Very straight forward lecture on on categorical and quantitative data and what they represent.
Clear and concise examples and explanations.
welcome back sir...u r a great person
good examples of how to categorize different data for various types of work
Very informative I will have to watch this a few times. Statistics was never my best subject!
I am always creating charts for our company and after watching this video, I now know not to use pie charts unless only two variables come into play.
Seems simple enough. Thank you!
Good examples, easy to follow.
It's good thanks
Great video on data charts
Clear explanation of basic data analysis
Pretty standard charts even for us amateurs. Good video that is easy to follow.
Good Explanation.
Very easy to follow. Didn't expect the pie charts shade, but i agree, They make me hungry anyways.
Straightforward good types
Very informative
Liked and Commented! Happy Algorithm! 😁
Dear Brandon,
It is appreciated if you answer my question.
When we are dealing with categorical variables, are we allowed to report our data as percentage! On the other hand, I wish to know if the relative frequency formula can be written as: (frequent of the observation/n)*100
Great
Brilliant expression. Very well thought lecture so that student like me can learn easily. I am 65 and still learning. Missed out on Mathematics while doing 7 years of Mechanical Engg studies.
I can't believe this videos are free
Is relative frequency sometimes call normalization?
Hi! Is there a way that you can collect data on 'Time Spent' as a categorical variable??
Easy to follow and good information. I will make sure to never use pie charts.
Hi brandon, where can we download the slides?

Hello Professor, Is there any way to get the slides you use in your videos. It will be quite handy and easy recall while saving a lot of times in making notes. If possible is will be good, if not no problem but at least reply so that I and others having same question will get an answer.
Be Safe, Stay Healthy.
Best Regards,
Your Student
I screenshot the slides.
Just to be clear, I'm trying to figure this out so I can use these videos to supplement a Stat Methods I class.
What if you really love pie charts?

I'm trying to find out where to start on basic statistics, when I start on descriptive statistics you start by saying "hello, and welcome to the NEXT video on basic statistics" making me think it's not the first one. Is this where I should start, or is there another one before it?? Another question do you have a book that goes with these videos, either your own or someone elses?
Hi Dan! Easiest thing to do is go my playlist page at ruclips.net/user/bcfoltzplaylists and then proceed from there. PL02, 03, etc. The playlists are in order as are the videos within each playlist. Let me know if you need any help finding things. Thanks for watching!
Brandon Foltz Actually FYI they pull up all out of order, it takes some messing around to find them all.
Veyron has entered the chat:
He really hates pie charts
