Kevin Lowe with a remote setup, the operator cannot "feel" what the equipment is doing. I've seen experienced remote operators lose a piece of equipment because they could not feel that traction or stability was going south and I've seen old men with decades of experience do what looks to be nearly impossible by the "feel" of the situation.
ROTAXD and I've seen remote controls stop communicating with the equipment before also. On a job where we had a crew in building a large retaining wall they were using a remote control vibratory packer for consolidation. The remote and machine quit communicating for some reason. Luckily the operator was able to manually kill the engine before it drove over the wall. Remote units like that add a few thousand dollars to the purchase price, cost an arm to fix and throw in a leg if you need to buy a new one.
This is cool! Sure hope we find something like this in Hendersonville,NC
Oh WOW! I'm loving this machine!
What is the price for that mule machine?
And you'll get a free hug from the customer 4:24
Nice video! Well done!
I need a shed moved, how do I get hold of a mover using a Muel?
Wow...what a nifty machine👍
It would be safer if it was operated by remote and it would be easier to be able to look around the load
...and yet it isn't remotely operated and he did quite fine..
