Thb, the cold approach saying is what throws us off society from women. Just look at it as talking to girls. Ask a random question, give a compliment that's not about her looks, etc. just look at as socializing. That way the mentality of cold approach won't be does she want me or not? I've noticed this too. I look at the "Sigma" movement as a bunch of guys who have given up trying to relate to women and act like their purpose is more important than forming a relationship(or even having sex with) a female. It's kind of like that "you're not breaking up with me, I'm breaking up with you thing". And you can see in all of their videos that they hate women and give off a vibe of resentment because most likely they were rejected. It's so transparent.
