Thanks Ash. Good call on the Neroli Voyage. I have a bottle in my collection and it does indeed lift my spirits. However, my cheaper summer signature fragrance is Davidoff Blue Water. I love this stuff and, like you with Dunhill, I can guarantee that I'll finish a bottle over the course of a summer.

I can highly recommend Dolce & Gabbana "Light Blue Summer Vibes" which was released this year. Blind buy! I alternate between this for summer evenings/more formal nights and Nautica Voyage for daytime/work wear in the summer. I've gotten compliments on both! The D&G is very "lemony" and woody. I also mix it up with some Bleu de Chanel from time to time.

I often go small bottles and decants to try and not get too carried away on spending, but does also allow for some variety and rotation which I also enjoy. So some of my favourites for this summer have been:
Maision Frances Kurkdjian - Gentle Fluidity Silver
    Parfums de Marly - Galloway
Xerjoff - Renaissance, Uden and Naxos
Creed - Erolfa and Green Irish Tweed
Ormonde Jayne - Ormonde Man (more suited to evenings in the summer)
Atelier Cologne - Rose Cuiree (great for black tie events once past the opening)
    Hermes - Terre d'Hermes edt

Ash my go to fragrances are Bleu De Chanel I've got both the EDT and Parfum. I have Chanel Allure aftershave which i mainly use if i want a quick freshen up on hot days if I'm not going anywhere. As its crisp and light the fragrance.
I also alternate between Bleu De Chanel and Sauvage EDT as my Summer fragrances. The Autumn and Winter months it's got to be D&G The One this is a quite heady fragrance.
These are some of my fragrances but the ones i use most often.

I have another classic one for you: "4711-ECHT KÖLNISCH WASSER".
It unfairly calls up memories of "Grannie's 80th birthday", but it is ideally suited for hot temperatures with its rich lemony scents. And it is suitable for men as well. The scent dissipates rather quickly, but as it is so cheap, you can always apply it a second time throughout the day. And of course you get it practically anywhere. It really refreshes on a hot day.

  • @RaoulKunz1

Nice selection, *especially* the Dunhill Edition which was among the fragrances I inherited from my father oh so many years ago and have added to my staples since.
Personally for the Summer I'm a great fan of Dior Sauvage (or for that matter it's clones like Hunter Intense - actually *only* this one, the rest are meh) in the EDP strenght, but then I'll always champion EDPs over EDTs, for my uses they have a better "cost per spray" ratio than virtually all EDTs.
Then of course there's the ancient fragrance par excellance: Eau de Cologne... of course it's insanely *old* and it's "concentration" and consequently it's endurance is a joke, but it's also so cheap that during the early phases of COVID people used it as a hand sanitizer - that all being said I feel it still *is* a nice summery scent... you Just need to carry a 200mil bottle to get through a hot day. 🤣
Noted the Agua Brava as an alternative for this specific niche - thanks!

And since you mentioned Bleu de Chanel: actually most of the other "Blue" fragrances that operate in a similar ballpark of citrussy, aquatic fresh aromas are great choices for the Summer.
    There's a ton of them.
And they all come in blue bottles😂.
Thanks for the breakdown Ash - I always take a recomendation that ends up in my collection with me from these fragrance reviews!
    So thank you!
    Best regards
    Raoul G. Kunz

I recently picked up a bottle of Creed Aventus Cologne which is an amazing scent, but doesn’t last very long. Great for the warmer months. During winter, I like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. It’s strong and heavy but calms down nicely and lasts all day.

My go-to summer fragrances are Guerlain Homme EDP and Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza. The former is powerful and lasts all day, while the latter is lighter and can be reapplied during the course of the day. For winter, I stay with the house of Guerlain and rely on their Heritage. I alternate with Floris No 89.

      @RaoulKunz1 Год назад

      @@Agerskiold Much appreciated Mr. Agerbo!
L'aventure knight is pretty much, though not *too* obviously (I mean it's still an Irish Green Tweed clone, not an Aramis variation 😉), dominated in the opening by hefty dose of Bergamot and Citrus notes with a rather substantial dose of...err.. "Tea leaf fragrance" (does this make sense? it's a bit of a "fresh brewed Assam" smell) with the powdery fragrances almost an afterthought towards the base notes.
So the powder is more present in the Tres Nuit - interesting, I have to admit to being intrigued, I think I'll order a bottle right away^^.
