Yes, it can definitely be an investment. I was able to stack up some promos to make it a bit more affordable (at least for the first visit). I've also done derma rolling in the past and seen significant results with that. And it is way more affordable. I'll make a note to do a video on it. Every little bit helps, but at the end of the day, it is what's on the inside that counts! :) ❤ I love your channel and will definitely be watching regularly, you are very talented. :) 😊

You're welcome! I waited quite some time before actually trying botox as well. And I was really nervous when I went in, but I'm glad I did. And now that I've had it done a couple times my furrow muscles are soooo much weaker so even when the botox wears off they are no where near as deep as they used to be.

I had botox for the first time at 40 my forehead is small. I have to be so careful who I go to. 7 units total freezes my forehead. So now I have that glass look. She is going to do only three next time. I can't wait for it to wear off a little because I miss my expression. Your natural results is what I love!

Totally agree! I was nervous at first, not many people talk about it here in the midwest, but once I started chatting with people it was amazing how many have either tried a little something (many with fancy facials and creams) or are genuinely curious about it even if it isn't for them.

Fefe H yeah, apparently you have to give it some time to see the full effect (I didn’t know that until my clinician told me). And you can always get more if there is still to much movement ;). But even after my movement decreased it did take a bit more time for my deeper furrows to lessen in intensity. :)

I was nervous too...I swear I watched a million videos and talked with friends first. It really helped that my first visit was 'no obligation'... after she explained everything to me and answered all of my questions I didn't have to do it if I was unsure. And there was absolutely no pressure at all, which I really appreciated. There are also some pretty good micro needle rollers that are less invasive and provide great short term result...and sleep, water and low stress will do wonders too. ;)

wow, you got an amazing deal! I got 16 units today in my forehead and it was $225....
Yeah, it really was a great deal. I think it was a mix of promos from it being a new client and they also had an additional rewards program that no longer exists. It has been a bit pricier since, but I only go 1 to 2 times a year so it isn't too bad.

Less than $150!!! That's an amazing price. I am 35 and i feel like my wrinkles are getting worse every 3 months lol.. I am scared of what it will cost me to correct my issues.. I need more botox than what you got, but After seeing this im hoping its not going to be AS expensive as I expected :)😁
I hear ya! Budget is always something I think about too. I also have a couple little side hustles I like to do (like flip clothing and furniture) to offset the cost, but I agree, this was much less than what I was expecting. Also, over time the muscles get weaker so ideally you can come in less frequent for touchups and need less botox overall. :)

Good luck, I'm sure it will turn out great. Get a recommendation from a friend and tell the place that you go to that you are a new customer...they will often have first time client deals to take a bit off of the final price. :)

I'm 37 and wanting to do this. Thank you for posting this. Are you still getting Botox when we aren't in lockdown?
I’ve been able to go back once during lockdown. They made changes to their office set-up to keep patients and staff very safe. I was impressed.
You look younger without makeup on but obviously beautiful both ways xo
I’m 29 and I read that botox prevents HARD set in lines. So maybe once every 6 months I might get them? My birthday is in three months I’ll be 30! I don’t have WRINKLES, but I have hard facial expressions. Preventative wrinkle care is a good idea. Not aggressive. Just gentle prevention. I’m excited!
That is how often I get mine done - once every 6 months. And I will say...even when the lines come creeping back in at the end of the 6 months, they are much softer and don't have that hard crease look. I like that 'gentle prevention' idea... makes total sense!

Hey there fellow Midwesty mama! :) I went back about every 4-6 months, but my clinician gave me that recommendation based upon how strong my facial muscles were. Over time after getting more treatments the muscles will be come weaker...so even when the botox wears off the lines won't appear as deep because the muscles will be weaker. I'll check out your channel as well!! :)

Wow girl. You look young for your age even before in my opinion. I understand though, I am almost 38 and been looking into maybe Facial Acupuncture. How much does the Botox cost and how often do you need it?
It cost me $140 the first time because I was a new client and there was an additional promotion running. Normally I think it would come in somewhere around $200-ish. Hope that helps!

@@laurenbaldwin6068 Yes, (in my opinion, if it were me) I would try botox for my 11's. That is exactly what I had done in my initial visit and I can't tell you how much I really loved the outcome. I was completely freaked out as well! But going to a reputable place that genuinely wanted me to have a good outcome, not just sell me stuff, made all the difference.

Do you use any lotions/creams for such a radiant complexion? I always thought surgery/injections were more effective and long-lasting rather than something on the surface of the skin. I used hyaluronic acid for my frown line and it did help but obviously needed daily reapplying. So I've just had Botox which should hopefully last a few months.
I'm not much of a fan of lotions or creams, but I have had great results with microdermabrasion. Removing the dead skin cells really brightens things up. :) And I've even used some products at home for this like one from Botanic Tree: amzn.to/3rUW1YX I've also used one from No.7 that I got at Target.
I’m over 40 got my first and they focused on the same area. For me I am not sure I like how my forehead still creases though. I didn’t take a before picture (I suck lol) but I think it is softer. I notice my eye brows looked a lot more raised up too.
I had the same thought about the forehead creases. As I've gone back for periodic touch ups they have softened, but they also did a bit up top. I have pics and such, I just need to get around to putting the video together. I'll have it up soon!

From Sheboygan wi area, i went today for a counsiltation and they wanted 400$ for my first treatment. Is that typical?

Honestly, it seems a little high. Unless you are looking to get a bunch of areas done. They typically charge by the unit as well as an injection fee. I only had my brow done and they also gave me a new customer promo.

It held up well for about 6 months and then wore off. But I will say that my muscles (especially my furrow lines between my eyes) are much weaker and I think I just got used to not using them so even though they work I don't furrow as much and the wrinkles never came back. I did go back once for another round and really liked it. I'll be continuing to do it going forward.

I had Botox today and I'm 24.
I’m 29 but I clench my face a lot and over the past 2 years or so my eleven furrow lines have gotten so deep! I blame coffee for making my face so stiff looooool. They say prevention is better than treatment so I’m probably gonna get it done soon!
Totally agree that prevention is better than treatment. A great skincare routine, healthy eating, low stress and sunblock can really make a difference. I don't know about the impact of coffee, but I loooovvveee it, no way I'd be able to give that up! :) LOL

do you need an eyebrowlift too when you get botox in the vertcal forehead lines?
I didn’t, but my clinician was very conservative with the placement and amount so that I would retain some movement and my brow wouldn’t drop.

I went to a clinic. And yes melasma is a dark discoloration on the skin that is often hormone related (so pregnancy or birth control). Mine started when I was pregnant with my second child over a decade ago. It is rather unsightly, but I've gotten really good at taking care of it over the years to minimize the appearance. :) And I agree, upkeep is good,.... ultimately I just want to look like the best version of me. :)

I think go for it if you want. It is temporary so if you hate it, it will be gone in 6 months. I would make sure the clinician takes a conservative approach the first time and maybe only in one spot...ya, know ease yourself into it. On a sidenote... I personally like some lines on men, especially crinkles around the eyes.
I do think that overall my botox has made me look more rested, and both men and women alike can benefit from that. :)

Please read Heal your face by Markus Rothranz. You will understand why you have lines, it isn't ageing. Frown lines are due to hundreds of stones stuck in your liver. You need to detox them out. Also read the book called The Amazing Liver Cleanse by Andreas Moritz. The forehead lines are because your colon has old crap stuck in it and you need to do colon hydrotherapy. I have been doing 6 liver stone flushes so far to detox the stones out and my frown lines have nearly gone!
Interesting, I've never heard that but will have to check it out. I'm always interested in healthy living and have tried many things over the years.

Yes, I have done in twice since. What I have noticed is that the muscles that create the furrow between my eyebrows is now soooo much weaker from lack of use. So even when the botox wears off, the lines are lighter because I just don't use that muscle anymore (like lack of muscle memory if that makes sense...it works but I don't use it). I will be going back in in September and will plan to make a follow up video. That way I can show what it looks like pre-touch up and post. ;)

I live in Miami and there’s an over abundance of doctors to choose from, you’d think it would make it easier to choose a board certified doctor. Too many options.

Hmmm, I am thinking of doing Facial Accupunture. Not 100% sure yet as it is $150 a session. 10 sessions last about a year. Still looking into it all.

@@taylorcox4006 I do shop around but I don’t want a nurse or aesthetician doing it. I use a medical dr or a plastic surgeon. Sure I can get Groupon and have a nurse do it for cheaper but I’m afraid of droopy eye and the side effects . I just guess I should have clarified a MD Or facial plastic surgeon is that price in Cincinnati.

Crows feet are honestly the cutest of all wrinkles. Oh and the bunny wrinkles people get on their nose are adorable too.
