    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  3 года назад +1

      You don't need extreme distortion! Just enough to get a distorted sound that you'd like. You can play the song without distortion too if you want but I reckon that won't be as fun considering it will sound starkly different.

    How do I even begin to try the solo 😭

  • @Jay-bo1gn
    @Jay-bo1gn 2 года назад +1

    i feel like i’m missinf something on the solo part where it speeds up, on the triplet parts do u okay each note twice or once ? bc when i play the pattern it sounds like u play each note twice
    for example it says
    -9-10-12 but o feel like u play each note there twice

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  2 года назад

      Oh no, not at all. I don't hear it in the demo or the slows. That part is really fast and the way it is, I wouldn't even be able to hit two notes twice on time. However, as mentioned, the part IS fast (even in the slows it's relatively fast to the rest) and it is also palm muted. The notes lose a bit of definition and they can kind of blend together, so I understand why that illusion may be.

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  2 года назад +1

      2-3 days of about 1-2 hours a day if I remember correctly. It definitely didn't go as easy as I wanted it to. I was a bit out of shape shredding wise at the time, so it took a bit longer than I would've liked it to.

  • @lilreaper7367

    How tf r u bending the strings so high

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  Год назад +1

      Whenever I bend, I make sure the fingers behind the bending finger help it out as well. So if I bend with middle, the index is behind it on the string supporting the bend.
      If It's the ring, then index and middle.
      If it's pinky then index,middle,and ring.
      The only exception to this is bending with the index finger, but that's a different story that I don't think is relevant to your question.
      It's also important to make sure you aren't using too heavy of a string gauge for the specific tuning.

    The tabs don’t match what ur playing tho ?

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  3 года назад

      Direct me to where in the video and I'll be happy to clear it up!
      Generally, the tabs are usually correct. I try my best to avoid this now more so than before but it's still possible for me to forget something while I'm actually playing.

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  3 года назад +2

      I just watched the entire video myself to see if I could figure what you're referring to. I'm playing identically to the tab. The only exception for this is the Bridge but I clarified that at 6:50 where it clearly says "There's a delay effect here on the scratches in the song but I'm not doing that". There's also another note at 7:09 on top of the tab clarifying yet again.
      The TAB is showing the delay effect on the scratches as it would be in the song, but as mentioned, I do not play those. You could achieve those extra scratches by playing them manually, or dialing in the proper delay with your pedals for that part and activating the delay pedal/effect in that section.

      While the song theoretically can be played in Drop C#, it's actually in Drop C. All of the songs on The Drug In Me Is You album are in Drop C. This is backed by live clips where the song is being played in Drop C. You can play it in Drop C# if you wish to do so.
