- I used a Dollar Tree hummingbird feeder to make a bird bath for hummingbirds. I am hoping to attract those beautiful Hummingbirds to my garden. I thought using a hummingbird feeder may help to get discovered since they may recognize this feeder. This project turned out so good with the solar-powered water fountain, Hummingbirds have an endless water supply for their spa-looking bird bath. This DIY project is the one you don't want to miss!

great idea but I also have one. Use salt or pepper shakers over the nozzle. The water looks so cute coming out the holes of the shaker. Can pick up cute ones at yard sales.

Great idea! I got some small camping containers for condiments like ketchup at dollar tree. They're sort of rubbery or maybe silicone, and they have red caps with a hole! Perfect! Small, but just additions to the collection I'm building. I heard a small mason jar salt and pepper shaker works too, Just have to paint red flowers on it, and use a feeder cap insert.

I love love all your bird baths! There is a lady on RUclips that feeds hundreds of hummingbirds, she makes bird baths also. They seem to like her huge rock ball with a low stream of water that comes out .

It’s much easier if you plant lots of hummingbird plants like Major Wheeler red honeysuckle (not as invasive) but there are 10-15 native honeysuckles you can choose, doesn’t have to be red. Even if you just put plants in pots and set around the baths, that will help. Zinnias are quick to come up and bloom all the way to frost. Sitting them up on blocks helps too and using daylilies around it helps too on the ground with the bath placed up off the ground 3-4’.
