@@ThorsTreasure They did away them over durability reasons is my guess. Those light up buttons are pretty but they had deep groves around them which are prone to clogging if you get in wet conditions. Which means people stick things down there to get the mud out, and then penetrate the waterproof membrane. That's what happened to a friend of mine so I don't know if that's the actual reason, just one to consider. The button panel they have there is similar to the Kruzer and Anfibio buttons which are rock solid. The light up ones tend to yellow over time as well. No big deal once you have enough time on the maching you don't even need to see the buttons in most cases. The small icons on the screen bother me more than anything. I hate that menu layout as one who needs glasses to read, but only to read. I don't want to carry reading glasses while I hunt but I DO want to read my screen. Larger icons would have been much nicer. 😆

It wasn't just the gold mode, you want to be in all metal modes as well since discrimination always loses depth. I would have liked to see this done in M2 mode as well, I think it was only in M1? M2 seems be performing better in most conditions.

@@MrBottlecapBill both m1 and m2 were used in the videos also all metal in field park etc which did not come close to hitting it watch previous video equinox vs legend ,and all metal in any mode is brutal i would only use it like this on a hoard site but ive got a pi machine for that thanks for watching 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😁

Nice video! I had the same feeling here in my mountainous terrain, very compact soil, in the field I had maybe low and inaudible signals. I passed the GF and immediately had a clear audio response, maybe a low VDI, but still I could hear the response very well.
Then I work with a 2 responsiveness, so I always look for the absolute depth.

The Simplex is a good machine but far from perfect. With all the hype about the Legend and it's release I was not looking for a comparison with the Nox but rather a comparison to the Simplex. Is it as good as the Simplex and if so, how much better is it? If it's miles better than I'm sold but if it's minutely better then who cares! I'm still not convinced. Thanks for the video!

    • @ThorsTreasure

No mate not in gold mode only threshold and threshold frequency however you can replicate it in field mode run in 40 or 20 khz with all metal and then you could have all the tone settings but what the actual settings of gold mode is im unsure of because it will only be the engineer that knows that information same as this stability thing for beavh id love to know that info ie is it just reducing sensitivity yet again they wont share that info thanks for watching 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
