This Weller FP is currently $55.95 USD here in NC, a control state of all things. So it's in your price range Rob. But good luck getting your hands on any, Wellers are purportedly hot items here.
"Hopefully yall in the States can find this," hahaha! I love your optimism! I actually recieved an awesome Weller Full Proof store pick from one of my regular honeyholes and it was fantastic! Im glad my local store only charges MSRP, so i got it for $85. The bourbon game has really turned me off bourbon, but unlike my tater friends, they don't know about scotch or world whiskies yet! I'm slowly trying to convert them. The way i see it, if youre gonna spend $500 on an "allocated" bourbon that's still young, might as well spend that $500 on a really good aged scotch! Lol
(( currently, LBOC puts quite a few scotches on "clearance" Oban-bay, Clynlish-14, Cragganmre-12, . . . this is big pooh-pooh/crapo if it means they do NOT return in the near future, ie: next 5-7 years to Ontario ! ! ))
M.s.r.p. is like 59.99 on full proof 29.99 on reserve 42.99 on 12 59.99 c.y.o.b. 56.99 antique 59.99 single Not very easy to find besides the reserve and antique
The Antique 107 is underwhelming every time I try it. I have a Weller 12 I do at least enjoy. Glad I paid SRP for both, I'd be upset if I paid what some stores charge people (and sadly still sell out within minutes/hours).
As for your age statement assumption, Buffalo Trace tells you on a tour they age everything at least 6 years I believe. Maybe some stuff just under that by a few months, especially for their Benchmark line.
That stuff is going for crazy money here in the UK! I guess we can't have it all over here though🤣 cheers Rob.
lol true
I have a newly cracked bottle, but the neck pour doesn’t impress me, hopefully when it opens up, it will do a lot better

That’s a great price actually. Cheers
They are selling for around 220+ in secondary
Rob, good review and especially discussions of other factors and options. Just picked up my first bottle and was under 100. Haven't cracked yet.
Nice hopefully it has more Weller quality to it.

Ya it’s insane how quickly these move.
