I went from an MV to a BMW and am so glad I did that. BMW is far superior in built quality, parts, after-market parts, and tunes. It is not all about the engine's Horsepower or torque it is how the whole package works together!
I agree, BMW seem to be un-matched when it comes to build quality, I would defiantly go back to BMW when I wanted a change again. They make so really fast bikes aswell so they are well up there for engine power aswell now so they are hard to beat.
I have a 2019 with 31,387 miles on it 10 track days a year plus mainly back roads. I've done 3 full track days at CODA with 2 long straights per lap with first gear corners at the start and finish. It's the hardest track on a motor there is, the back straight is 6th gear top speed for a bit. I've had only 1 problem at 28,000 miles the quick shift plunger needed replacement. It seems to run better then new and all I do is change oil.
I have the same Time Attack bike with Akra & Akra map Mods: Bar risers with the brake extension, Evotech protection all round including rad & oil guard & levers I've set up for touring with the Aprilia touring screen, which makes a big difference. Also, Hepco & Becker rear luggage plate & SW Motech tank ring for pro range. Oxford Hot Grips Pro heated grips (Aprilia say u cant fit heated grips LOL) The last mods have been power supply for sae & heated clothing, wireless quadlock & Aprilia MIA module which is a bit of a waste of money My only negative about the bike is tank range, i reckon 130 miles including reserve Oh & tyres changed to Michelin Power 5 better for Scottish wet weather
I have recently fitted the SW motech tank bag and usb power to mine, next is to find a screen I like. Tyres are being changed in the spring, they are good but only for bone dry warm days, anything else that pretty naff! how do you find the power 5's for longevity?
Great video 👍 I bought mine in the same time attack colours, I love it. I powder coated the rims red with a bit of gold flake mixed it really looks great in the sun. I also put the Akra on it what a sound. Everything you mentioned about the plastics annoy me also I’m glad I’m not the only one with the bottom vent issue 😂
Cor i bet the rims look great! The bike sound good even with the standard exhaust but the Akro just makes it! Yea it is a shame about the plastics, but the bike in general does make up for it lol
Why does internet keep telling me I “need” a V4 Tuono?! Best sounding motor available! Test rode the non-factory a few weeks back - what a great bike!!
Because the internet is ALWAYS right! You do NEED a V4 Tuono! 🤣 The non factory is a great bike! I did consider it before buying mine but just preferred the colour scheme on the factory, save alot of money going for the standard version. 👍🏻
Yea mine gas been put away for winter now, want to keep it looking good so its a good weather bike for me. Once you get it out tho, ul never want to put it away!
Had a ‘17 Factory, the “carbon” fenders were really a carbon appliqué on plastic. Looked nice, but not really carbon. Now have a ‘21, and the air fill valves are angled…..massively easy to air up the tires! Great review, ride safe dude….
Yea I agree, they do run unnecessarily hot! does my head in, especially on a hot day! might be an Italian thing, apparently Ducatis are bad for it to 🤷♂️
Aprilia have never supplied carbon bits on the Tuono Factory as std .. they did a special offer once when they supplied bikes with an offer of carbon bits to shift bikes and up sales but that was probably around 2017
Great video, was very interested as i have the same model in speed white. I had to have the seat recovered and lowered awaiting to test due to weather. Where did you purchase your rad cover guard from please ? Again i came from a speed triple rs and noticed a big difference in product and welcome pack ie 2 keys & small book that was it
I love the speed white. I had seen one until id brought mine and sometimes wish I had got the white. The rad guard is from eBay, i forgot to menstion that to be fair! The item number is 304661823732. I was the same, surprised at how little they give you compared to other manufactures, Aprillia does seem abit tight lol
I’ve been looking at one of these forever but ended up with an MT10 and I love it. I suspect the Aprilia is similar but with more power. I’ve no idea why there aren’t more given they look amazing and they’re a V4 but suspect it’s down to their reputation for reliability issues..
The same as me bud, loved them for so long and it was always an itch I needed to scratch so took the plunge! My mates got an MT10 and together they sound like the worlds about to end lol. Yea Italian bike aren't the most reliable but I was lucky to grab a deal from my dealer for a lifetime warranty as long as I own the bike so it was a no brainer for me to give an Italian bike it ago!
Great video, thanks. Which bar risers did you get please ? I can only find for Tuono 660 but not the 1100 Factory. And once fitted, does it make much noticeable difference ?
@@suvashbiswas2249 cheers bud. I order some generic ones from amazon. Ive tried to find them again but cant 🙄. I have one major problem with this bike.. the way they make the front look like the superbike but then lower it.. sry it looks wierd. man I still think the old V2 looks better
Its a very different bike but thats exactly what I wanted. The XR was brilliant everything, Id say the perfect all rounder for me except the noise, I was never over keen on the sound of it and sometimes it felt abit to tall for me, the Aprillia is the perfect height, and sounds amazing and puts a huge smile on my face everytime I ride it...but I do feel Im always watching my speed, the XR I felt I never had to as I was happy to just have a relaxed ride and have fun when I wanted to, the Aprillia not so much, just makes you feel its all or nothing lol
Its a very different bike! The XR was brilliant everything, the perfect all rounder really but the Aprillia is amazing at making you feel like a motoGp rider, the noise complemented the riding position and the way it rides just gives you so much confidence...but this is also one of its issues, Im always having to watch my speed when Im on it, it isnt a fan of going slow! lol

For viewers whose mother tongue is not english (like my case); hearing your strong english accent, If you intend to reach more audience in different countries, nationalities and languages who might understand english; My suggestion is that you try to soften just a little bit your pronunciation and think you are not talking to your local mates 😆🤣 thanks

The seat just needs to be adjusted to fix that "issue". Loosen the 2 seat bolts, move the seat a couple mm and tighten them down again. Worked for me.
Cheers for that info bud! That issue is so annoying and didnt realise it was such a simple fix! 👍🏻
Flexi plastics in Tuono saves you from more fairing damage when you crash. Rigid ones crack and break much easier.
I have the same bike also time attack with Akra slip on. My only complaint is coolant temp is always high AF.
