Excellent build. Im a control4 dealer and have a quick question. You have distributed video in this install however I didn't see a video matrix?
Thanks!!!
In this project it’s not really distributed video. We are using the HD zone out of the AVR to send the same source to 2 locations.
If video distribution is needed then we do binary or av pro edge . Either matrix or Moip. (Just depends on the project and budget)
Thanks for watching and engaging with the content.. it’s appreciated
Have a great one
Why do people installing tv so high. I can’t stand that. mine is eye level.
Why does every television seem to be mounted so high up?
The home being empty might affect the look maybe.
All the heights are based on designer, furniture, decorations and clients input.
(It’s all personal preference, Yes there is industry standards however you have to adjust based on Furniture and decorations)
Thanks for watching!!
I just wrote the same thing before seeing your comment
because they all are too high. If mounting over a fireplace it should have a mantel mount allowing it to articulate down.
Great stuff. Really appreciate the detailed walkthrough of all the tech and the rack. Interesting choice to have three surround sound receivers and use the extra zones on them for stereo audio. I've seen many people use soundbars for their tvs (if they want better audio than the tv) and then a matrix audio solution for stereo zones of audio or separate sonos amps. Then maybe one separate media room with a separate receiver for higher quality sound. But there are so many ways to accomplish similar things.
The home was wired for 3 5.1 surround sounds and a few zones of stereo. Most AVRs are going to have a zone 2 for audio. Depending on the AVR some will have an hdzone 2 for another tv and speakers.
You can feed audio to the AVR and send it to any of the zones so in this project we didn’t use a separate amps.
Different ways for different uses.
Thanks for watching
Excellent integrations❤
Thank you
Can i add a High-capacity storage solution for data backup, media libraries, and shared storage across devices like the Synology rackstation or do you have anything similar? i didn't hear you mention anything storage. i currently have Synology RackStation RS3621xs+ NAS which i chose for remote storage and back on my mobile devices from anywhere.
Can Josh display my device when someone rings a doorbell ? My Reolink doorbell
This is perfect video example of how not to install speakers and choosing way over priced equipment that have the highest margins. Installing speakers in the ceiling is absolutely terrible decision. As a Sound Engineer working in Post Production, you are blasting sound from above in a square box with a ton of echo. Control 4 system is so over priced! And Araknis networking equipment is not a good choice but is chosen so many times from AV installers because of margins and if you notice, they don’t talk about network security with all this equipment accessing the internet. Not impressed.
I would not disagree with you, in-ceiling speakers are not the best placement for a surround sound however please keep in mind that this is the residential set up and for these builders and most home owners aesthetics, is more important than acoustics. (there’s a reason why majority of residential speakers get pre-wired in the ceiling)
Expensive and overprice is opinion based on what someone can afford so we respect your opinion, there is systems that are way more expensive.
Control4 has a huge market percentage and there is a reason control4 has been named leading automation brand by CEPRO so we like it. We like Araknis for multiple reason but mainly because it’s one of the recommended network when doing Control4.
Automation and sound engineering are 2 different industries so we will definitely have 2 different point of views, at the end of the day our biggest goal is having a satisfied and happy client. That was accomplished here. (So much that we will going back to add more things)
Sorry we couldn’t impress you but we definitely appreciate you watching and taking the time to write a comment.
Have a great day 😁
@@empireavservices Why didnt you go for an in-wall sub if she didnt want a large stand alone sub?
I get the speakers, as most people just want it loud and everywhere. The networking equipment isn't a brand I have ever heard of and can't find a lot about them, that Onkyo will probably outlast the network lol
Subwoofer was weird with Coax cable.
In-wall subwoofer require an amp and 2 or 4 conductor cables.

please, get rid of the background music, your content is too interesting to be distracted by that noise
Thanks Darren… we will work on minimizing how much and how loud the background music plays.
Thanks for your feedback and thank you for watching.
🔥🔥🔥
Thank god for savant without competition control 4 would of stayed lame.
Control4 has definitely made exponential improvements in the last 5 years.
Thanks for watching
I don’t trust people wearing panda dunks
Good thing they are “Dunk Low 'Chenille Swoosh - Black Grey Fog” so you can trust us. 😂
I did hear you can’t trust people that use their pet as their profile pic. 🧐
🤣🤣 jk thanks for watching!!!
😂😂😂
Control 4 dimmer suck. Stick with Lutron.
Lutron has issues with led not being just right often I needed to change the light or add an adapter. The Control4 dimmer is more flexible
Pro and cons to all systems.
We find a lot of flexibility and integration with c4 and keypads so this works for us.

For commercial installations sometime Lutron does give you more options
Both great products.
