exactly! its so easy to forget that when everybody is so concerned about growing fast and only giving tips about growing fast. i just want to find friends and help as many people as possible with my channel. as long as we do that our channels will grow with time :)
I'm a month in, and one thing I would recommend is to fall in love with THE PROCESS. Not where you want to be. It makes it much easier to progress daily!

@@zamanokhwe8339 One of the things I personally struggle with is trying to make everything perfect, especially when it is something of a little more of a permanent nature like published videos. I've let that perfectionism in me prevent me from getting things finished or even started in the first place. However, I realized that I needed to change my mindset and not allow perfectionism stop me from creating the things I want. I've found just doing it rather than planning it is helping me be more natural, so my advice would be just to work on your mindset and keep up the momentum you have already built for yourself and just enjoy the process of it all.

One thing I learn is that you have to enjoy making videos, I’ve uploaded 60 videos so far and although have less than 2k subs I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge, because money is not a motivation, otherwise it would be a miserable job
For me, the biggest takeaways from this video is that you shouldn’t reinvent the wheel. It’s also very important to find inspiration but don’t copy other peoples styles. At the end of the day, what will separate you from everyone else within your niche is your authenticity and The ability to educate others. Lastly, building a community is so important and will help you build a long lasting relationship. I actually started doin this and have met so many like minded people. I just started my channel after almost a year of research. The biggest thing that held me back? Fear. Fear of failure, rejection and fear of making a fool of myself. Now that I’ve started it’s funny because no one is watching me so how can I make a fool of myself or be rejected? Haha but my channel is about my family. I only have 3 videos up right now (will be posting another one tonight as I’m keeping it on Monday’s and Saturday’s) But my niche is going to be blended families. My husband is black and I am white and we each have two kids (four total). The next few videos (as I’m learning how to do them better) will go more in depth on our obstacles and how we overcome them as well as making a space for family time, what that looks like, how to do it with your family, etc. Love your videos and thank you for all of the valuable advice!!

I grew up with a blended family as well and we always called each other brothers & sisters, moms and dads. We knew our family was blended with "step" and "half" siblings, but to us it was/is just our family; no other titles needed. I think as a small youtuber, it is easy to get de-motivated and feel like nothing is working out. I feel like this HARD CORE, but when I focus on the people I DO have that are engaged, I become instantly grateful and remotivated.

I just want to say because you mentioned faves (if I didn’t hear wrong). I wouldn’t recommend starting with monthly favorites I did some of these videos although my friends loved them and I learnt a lot being in front of the camera, editing etc. it’s not videos that grow my channel. If you do faves make very specific faves I guess: my favorite sewing tools is one I am currently considering. I think it will make way more sense than “March favorites”

This was really good. As a small channel, it's often difficult to get significant ranking on search, but one thing that's helped me is spending time to find others with similar interests to me and making an effort to build a relationship. After all, RUclips is social media. I create videos where I try to empower and inspire people with practical advice

This is my channel! It is a Christian channel where I focus on doing Bible studies with my subscribers! I feel like I know my subscribers personally, and have formed personal friendships with most of them! I love that aspect of it! What you mentioned, which I am currently working on, is adding my own editing style! I didn't edit at all at first, but as I have been editing, I have noticed my retention rate and watch time has definitely improved!!! So now to add some style to it! As I'm learning, I'm actually finding editing to be pretty fun too!

My biggest takeaway form this video was, learning that in the beginning we can't expect to do or get the same results as the bigger channels. I see a common mistake that others make and I have done it too, is titling a video like "what I eat for a day" or "ask me your questions" or " get to know me" ... The reality is and it is a sad reality, that in the beginning, no one knows me and us, the small channels and by titling videos like that we are hoping that people will care. If the audience doesn't know us, they won't care what we eat for a day...If the audience doesn't know us, they won't find our videos in the first place if we title them that way. I have to remember, it's not about me. It's about the audience and thank you for reminding me that. #BOSSCLUB
Absolutely! And also other mistakes related to copying the behaviors of big youtubers, like doing vlogs for example. I have a cheap travel channel, I was doing vlogs at the beginning, then I realized that you should make clickable content fist. Now my channel is doing better!

I started my channel 1 month ago and published 6 videos so far and got around 180 subscribers so far in less than a month period. Framing Jessica hi Jessica! This was a major struggle for us too! We had a vlog style Channel and are shifting to a journalism style as well based on serving traveling families. I have scheduled various topics to cover with the same people in one sitting, so we can “batch” content. So if you know the person you interview is an expert in a few topics you could take full advantage and do more than one interview at a time. We have also found while trying that out that we don’t always have to have an interview, we can cover topics by making sure to attribute sources. This makes it way less overwhelming and still adds credibility. I have a degree in journalism and used to be a news reporter and can tell you there is a lot of reporting on findings in that industry and it still has a high impact 😀 We are in this together! My niche is tailored for women who want to start living a holistically driven lifestyle. I focus on eco living, stress and anxiety management and green beauty and mindfulness practices. I showcase how to get out of overwhelm and anxiety and shift into taking action and feel more empowered in the process. I truly appreciate all your great tips, Sunny. My video making and social media skills are weak, but I’ve seen major improvement since discovering your RUclips Channel 2 months ago. I’m an artist. I’ve been painting murals and custom artwork for over 25 years professionally. Since I’m the “chief, cook and bottle washer” in my RUclips venture, I’m struggling to remain focused on one theme and keeping a good schedule. I just have so many ideas and so little time! I’m sure that’s a common artist’s problem since creating is liking having to scratch an itch! I’d love to see more content on how you manage your time and how to delegate.
The things I learned from Sunny that help (I made some notes): As a beginner on RUclips: 1. Have a focus, until you become famous 2. Follow what works 3. Find your editing style 4. Focus on keywords 5. RUclips is a search engine owned by Google. (WHAT DO YOU NEED MORE HELP WITH)? 6. Capitalize. > Focus on the videos on the channel that get a high number of views. - What is the difference? 7. Community interaction, everywhere IG, FB, TWITTER ETC.. e.g. 25 minutes a day What the Reconstructed channel is about: *I speak about reconstructing yourself, not just physically but also mentally - as THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE that are just not happily going to the gym or are like zombies at the gym. Which is why I think the mental aspect is important too.*

I was a Catholic monk for years and have a degree in psychology and am expert on theology. @@zamanokhwe8339 One of the things I personally struggle with is trying to make everything perfect, especially when it is something of a little more of a permanent nature like published videos. I've let that perfectionism in me prevent me from getting things finished or even started in the first place. However, I realized that I needed to change my mindset and not allow perfectionism stop me from creating the things I want. I've found just doing it rather than planning it is helping me be more natural, so my advice would be just to work on your mindset and keep up the momentum you have already built for yourself and just enjoy the process of it all.

For me, the biggest takeaways from this video is that you shouldn’t reinvent the wheel. It’s also very important to find inspiration but don’t copy other peoples styles. At the end of the day, what will separate you from everyone else within your niche is your authenticity and The ability to educate others. Lastly, building a community is so important and will help you build a long lasting relationship. I actually started doin this and have met so many like minded people. I just started my channel after almost a year of research. The biggest thing that held me back? Fear. Fear of failure, rejection and fear of making a fool of myself. Now that I’ve started it’s funny because no one is watching me so how can I make a fool of myself or be rejected? Haha but my channel is about my family. I only have 3 videos up right now (will be posting another one tonight as I’m keeping it on Monday’s and Saturday’s) But my niche is going to be blended families. My husband is black and I am white and we each have two kids (four total). The next few videos (as I’m learning how to do them better) will go more in depth on our obstacles and how we overcome them as well as making a space for family time, what that looks like, how to do it with your family, etc.

I think as a small youtuber, it is easy to get de-motivated and feel like nothing is working out. I feel like this HARD CORE, but when I focus on the people I DO have that are engaged, I become instantly grateful and remotivated.

I just want to say because you mentioned faves (if I didn’t hear wrong). I wouldn’t recommend starting with monthly favorites I did some of these videos although my friends loved them and I learnt a lot being in front of the camera, editing etc. it’s not videos that grow my channel. If you do faves make very specific faves I guess: my favorite sewing tools is one I am currently considering. I think it will make way more sense than “March favorites”

This is my channel! It is a Christian channel where I focus on doing Bible studies with my subscribers! I feel like I know my subscribers personally, and have formed personal friendships with most of them! I love that aspect of it! What you mentioned, which I am currently working on, is adding my own editing style! I didn't edit at all at first, but as I have been editing, I have noticed my retention rate and watch time has definitely improved!!! So now to add some style to it! As I'm learning, I'm actually finding editing to be pretty fun too!

My biggest takeaway form this video was, learning that in the beginning we can't expect to do or get the same results as the bigger channels. I see a common mistake that others make and I have done it too, is titling a video like "what I eat for a day" or "ask me your questions" or " get to know me" ... The reality is and it is a sad reality, that in the beginning, no one knows me and us, the small channels and by titling videos like that we are hoping that people will care. If the audience doesn't know us, they won't care what we eat for a day...If the audience doesn't know us, they won't find our videos in the first place if we title them that way. I have to remember, it's not about me. It's about the audience and thank you for reminding me that. #BOSSCLUB

I'm starting my RUclips channel and the one thing I find so difficult is managing time! I fairly organized person, but I work 40 hours a week and find it challenging to coordinate filming with my subjects (I'm aiming for a journalism vibe). Do any of ya'll have any tip on how to find time to film/coordinate with others and produce enough content?
Framing Jessica hi Jessica! This was a major struggle for us too! We had a vlog style Channel and are shifting to a journalism style as well based on serving traveling families. I have scheduled various topics to cover with the same people in one sitting, so we can “batch” content. So if you know the person you interview is an expert in a few topics you could take full advantage and do more than one interview at a time.
We have also found while trying that out that we don’t always have to have an interview, we can cover topics by making sure to attribute sources. This makes it way less overwhelming and still adds credibility.
I have a degree in journalism and used to be a news reporter and can tell you there is a lot of reporting on findings in that industry and it still has a high impact 😀

I truly appreciate all your great tips, Sunny. My video making and social media skills are weak, but I’ve seen major improvement since discovering your RUclips Channel 2 months ago. I’m an artist. I’ve been painting murals and custom artwork for over 25 years professionally. Since I’m the “chief, cook and bottle washer” in my RUclips venture, I’m struggling to remain focused on one theme and keeping a good schedule. I just have so many ideas and so little time! I’m sure that’s a common artist’s problem since creating is liking having to scratch an itch! I’d love to see more content on how you manage your time and how to delegate.
The things I learned from Sunny that help (I made some notes):
As a beginner on RUclips:
1. Have a focus, until you become famous
2. Follow what works
3. Find your editing style
4. Focus on keywords
5. RUclips is a search engine owned by Google. (WHAT DO YOU NEED MORE HELP WITH)?
6. Capitalize. > Focus on the videos on the channel that get a high number of views. - What is the difference?
7. Community interaction, everywhere IG, FB, TWITTER ETC.. e.g. 25 minutes a day
What the Reconstructed channel is about:
*I speak about reconstructing yourself, not just physically but also mentally - as THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE that are just not happily going to the gym or are like zombies at the gym. Which is why I think the mental aspect is important too.*

This is something I’m working on and struggling with but will eventually find what style I’ll work with the best and I appreciate that you brought that up because I didn’t realize it that’s exactly what I was doing finding my style so I appreciate everything you put out here it’s so meaty and helpful and very soon I will get my channel up here so that we can all share in each other’s work!

Love it. I’ll be watching this one again. My biggest takeaway was 25 minutes a day engaging. Im stilling trying to wrap my head around my niche. I was a Catholic monk for years and have a degree in psychology and am expert on theology. I toured in a gypsy punk band for years and am expert on wild shows and wild living and I write novels and songs and etc etc. I’ve lived off-grid. You get the idea. Choosing a niche is my biggest challenge. Anyway, love your videos. Thank you for the guidance. ❤️
