      @@erenthebombjaeger I think in 2016 or so (that was the last time I went to the theater to see a movie), it was about $12-15 for an adult ticket. But I think after last year, with it being closed because of quarantine and then just showing old/older movies, it's now $8 for adults. They only show the new movies. (Not sure if this can be a reason for higher prices, but it is a really old theater. I think it was the first one in town, but I can't remember.)

    That last story is scary but not surprising. The way everyone talked about him afterwards, how he was always so kind and helpful and no one ever thought he could be violent, is exactly what happens after someone is outed as an abuser. I think the guy was freaking out and trying to rob my (well dressed)dad but my dad somehow knew how to handle it and we just kept walking. I don't know if my 10 year old presence had anything to do with him not stabbing my dad. We might have been walking through an underground subway shopping area if I remember correctly. @Rebecca_Spirits The third one got me the most. I've unfortunately been a dumb curious teenage boy and been scarred from seeing so many really bad, true, snuff films that it doesn't even phase me anymore when it comes to people's stories involving the darker crowds people find themselves falling into. All for a place and all just to find a purpose in their youth.
      I can always tell nowadays when it's a real sn*ff tape, and I'm actually seeing someone's suffering, or staged, or even completely faked.
      Usually, it's in the camera quality, but often it's also the sounds of the suffering. No actors, not even Scarlett Johansson or any other emotional actor, can really put on a good enough show to ever show the real suffering of a tortured person. It's almost like you don't want to revisit it but it automatically comes back to your mind.

We have babies and do not infect them. We have partners and do not infect them. We are normal and regular people just with a long term illness that must be managed to not pass it to others and live a healthy and happy life! Do not let ignorance fool you!!! @@theartofbeingfemaleI'm so glad that things changed from the 80's. I was a teenager then and my boyfriend from back then, later became my husband. We just celebrated 36 years together last month. Even being in a commited relationship from when I was 16 years old didn't make it less scary. It was a very scary time and I felt awful for people being infected by others that knew they had it, but didn't care to take precautions or inform the people they should've. I also hated how it was constantly on the news about how horribly people that got sick were treated. People assumed that if you had it then it was always because you didn't take precautions or you slept around all that stuff, you know. It didn't matter that there were kids that had it, people were jerks.
      I really hope it's not that way for you these days. Plus I hope that you never had to deal with that horrible judgemental treatment. I think unfortunately that it's not very likely that you escaped it.
      Anyway besides that, I wanted to point out that it seems to me, and I've no actual statistics or anything, that people need to be at least as concerned about Hepatitis. I don't know if people take it serious that you can get it by sharing drinks, kissing, smoking weed(sharing a joint, pipe, etc.)eating at public establishments, or so many other ways. I had no idea how easy it is to catch it. Plus it can cause things to happen that can be fatal, separate from the Hepatitis itself, without you even knowing you have it.
      I don't know if you agree, and maybe your comment isn't a good place to talk about it(if not, I do apologize) but it just seems to me that it's something that should be talked about as much as AIDS/HIV because it can be spread even if you think you're taking precautions.
      I just feel lucky I didn't get it because before I got together with my husband I used to think it was okay to kiss people. I was raised very strict, but I found I quite liked kissing. 😂
      Little did I know that could've caused very serious consequences.
      Sorry this is so long. I'm stopping now.
      To anybody that makes it through my rambling to see this, I hope all is well and you have a great day/night!

    That last story really makes me upset. I don’t care how “kind” he might’ve been before, it’s truly revolting that he, wanting to be petty and prove a point not to be messed with, pulled a gun on and took a man’s life KNOWING he had a 3 year old at home... there are no words. Some people are just so intolerant it’s mind boggling. Like really?? You couldn’t just act like an adult and not throw a fit because BEFORE the movie started a man was being a good dad and texting his 3 year old?? GET OVER YOURSELF

    • @gardenfairybabe
      @gardenfairybabe 2 года назад +3

      He didn’t “throw a fit”, he calmly asked the man to stop texting and he didn’t so the guy went and told the manager. Literally the most mature way to handle it. Then the other guy leaps towards the older couple to attack them for “telling on him” and you think the older guy is in the wrong?? He was protecting himself and his wife. What kind of idiot tries to fight random people in a movie theater when he has a 3 year old at home? What part of that was the old man being petty about? With your logic, the old man should have just let him and his wife be attacked by someone who they didn’t know had a weapon or not. The old guy shouldn’t have shot, but the other guy definitely shouldn’t have tried to physically attack him.

    • @WhoCutTheCarrot
      @WhoCutTheCarrot 2 года назад +5

      @@gardenfairybabe I’m going to take my own advice and preface this - I’m not responding with an attitude or out of anger or to belittle. Let’s just reason on the situation, because I’m sure we can agree on a few things.
      1st) attacking somebody in ANY capacity is wrong (let’s keep in mind though that there are varying severities and this “attack” was in the form of dumping popcorn on someone’s head), but it IS NOT comparable to taking someone’s life. It’s just not. It was indeed petty on his part for sure, I agree, but again DOES NOT equate to the punishment here - which was someone ending his life.
      2nd) the older gentleman fully had the means within himself to stop and reason, “ok, he’s probably not going to be texting throughout the whole movie. Let’s just see if he puts it away after a while”. Patience IS a choice. It’s a human kindness that can be extended when someone has the maturity to intentionally exercise empathy and the decency to give people the benefit of the doubt. It’s definitely hard to do sometimes because it requires self-control and choosing to not be cynical, but we are all capable of it. If that man had exercised patience there would have been no attack, no loss of life that night in that theater, no widowed wife left to take on the heartache and hardships of being a single parent and no 3 year old without a dad for the rest of their life - which is so heartbreaking and I personally empathize with, coming from a broken home myself from the time I was 4.
      It was a truly horrific situation that was 100% preventable, which in my opinion makes it even more sad. The fact that it was all so trivial and pointless... :/ there were no “bad guys” or seriously messed up people that lead to this. Just impatience, apathy and lack of self-control.
      I think we can all benefit from trying to actively show more kindness and patience. The world would be in a much better place if people did.

    • @gardenfairybabe
      @gardenfairybabe 2 года назад +3

      @@WhoCutTheCarrot they both took turns escalating the situation. Also, I took it more as he dropped the popcorn while attempting to lunge at the older man, but obviously I have no idea because I didn’t witness it. I think they both had opportunities to be patient and decided to keep it up. • @WhoCutTheCarrot
      @WhoCutTheCarrot 2 года назад +1

    1. Everyone knows not to text during a movie.

    5 why couldn’t he just chill enough to let the guy text his daughter of that’s what he was doing. The movie hadn’t even actually started just the previews.

      @@mohammedusmanmufti5311 There are other reasons besides these stories as to why I don't go to theaters or cinemas as they are not always as clean as I would like and you can't necessarily bring your own snacks you have to buy their often overpriced snacks or drinks if you want to snack or drink anything while in the theater.

    That dude in theatre reminds me of that dude from charlie's angels movie, the one that kept snapping people's hairs and smelling it.
    This dude though, overtime, he escaladed from being an observer, to being the main participant, of his creepy mind games.
    Lowkey reminds me of Hannibal too, but not that much similarity. (The Mads Mikkelsen tv series, not the movie ones).
    But ofc (Mads') Hannibal was a cannibal with class and courtesy.
