I programmed arcade games and claw machines. The program let's you set the claw strength at pick up, lift, and travel. It gets stronger the more you play. The % of how much stronger depends on how much profit the owner wants to make on the toy. So if I bought a bear for .50c as an owner but want to make $5 before anyone wins that bear then the claw wont give you 100% strength till the machine gets $5 in plays. And it resets back to lowest strength when the sensor sees the prize drop in the hole.
In Japan there's a law that prevent things like this from happening, basically the machine has a set strength all the way unless it is changed manually. That's why most prizes are winnable. Look up Ufo catchers videos by Japanese RUclipsrs. Some people even sale their prize to earn profits
Funny thing is, if something is based on random chance or a calculated probability, and not skill, to win a prize, it is gambling. How do these claw game manufacturers get away with that?
I was told that I couldn't play anymore at Six Flags in St. Louis (Eureka) because I was winning too much on the quarter toss onto the glass plate game. I lost count of how many huge stuffed animals I won but I remember I was asked to leave. I had a season pass that year. I came back the following weekend and the quarter toss plate game was gone lol. They replaced it with a new game. I have a sinking suspicion that I had a hand in it's discontinuation.

I would have sued the ass out of them for telling me I can't win more than one prize when I sent my money for a chance to do so. It's not even written anywhere in the building or the machines . That's madness
My Uncle Ray actually sued an arcade play with a claw machine in a commonwealth state around the late 1990s. It cost him thousands in lawyers and court costs compared with the five dollar toy loss he incurred. So you can sue to be right. Prepare for years of court visits and a decent chance you'll lose your case if not ready to give at least a hundred percent to this cause.
I always found it funny how the prize arcades games around my area all have the sticker that says: "There may be an input lag when pressing the buttons." meaning that it's not even skill-based anymore.
Vending tech here, just so yall know, the claw machines are adjustable, typically they're placed on the weakest setting, some machines are left on default, but that's usually the plush claws. im sure your totally a vending tech yet u cant also assume the machines arent rigged. having the claw machines on the lowest setting is called rigging it and yes u can assume ur not gonna win high prizes 💀 its not hard to figure out if a machine is rigged or not.
This reminds me of the time my dad almost completely emptied a claw machine for these stuffed horses and we just walked into the store looking for my mom to show them to her. She just looked at him and looked so disappointed, mainly because he used a lot just to get those damn horses. :,) I'll tell you this though, it was hilarious to see the looks on people's faces when they saw him carrying some of them and I was tagging along with this goofy smile.

Unless it's stated on the machine, they shouldn't be saying that. I bet it was some pissed employee who wanted to win the item u won or have their friend win it.
The machine at 3:30 is not based on skill. HE is incorrect to say it is 100% based on skill. The manual for this machine even tells you the settings to set for payout for that machine. Basically setting it to prevent winning so closely per play. Sadly some of these machines dont work off skill even though it comes off as such
It is the case. Ive read the manual and there is a setting for prize probability You still have to use skill to get key lined up correctly. But you can not win continuously is my point based on the settings of the machine. This has already been discussed on other videos and I am sure Clawboss can chime in as well. I am sure they spent at least 50 bucks alone playing that game.
If there was no prior notice to that rule of "winning one prize per day," then they should've had refunded your plays. Not fair that they came at you with that rule only after you spent almost all of your money.

True but casinos are illegal in some places for a reason, arcades are not, also I don't think it says anywhere that you can only win 1 prize a day, in that case what happens to the remainder money on the card that you paid for to play these games?
The manual for this machine says that you set a win ratio. After the machine makes enough money, then only will it allow a win. Otherwise it delays your button press communication.
Yes. And, it's completely legal, because the game is probably classified as a machine that depends on luck, and not as a machine that produces skewed results. But, when you look at it, you would think that it's not a game that depends on luck, but rather on the player's skills.

Why would anyone run an arcade hall? Because it's designed to tickle your toes and empty your pockets. There's no reason for the claws not to be stronger if it was a fair game.
If the game was fair you would have people who mastered the game coming into every arcade and clearing it out instantly... There really is no choice but to make it a little scammy.

vince yea but I thought it was based on the fact that the machine could no longer accept bonus money? Wouldn't that basically mean that there are limitations on those things?
I'd be a little miffed too, but carnivals and theme parks do the same thing. At least, the parks near me do. They limit you to one jumbo prize per visit. Still, though, at least this one isn't rigged and you can legit win, unlike the other one you played where they filed the notch at angle so it looks like it'd fit, but doesn't.

darktrooper2099 nah I never win
Jessica Borchert:::Never at all, ever?!?!?!(NOT that those things' were EVER FAIR to begin with, much less rigged !)
@@LiquidusSnakeX not scammy but yes people like me would put them out of business if it was 100% skill it simply needs to be well known you have like a 1/50 chance
@@andrewrobinson8199 not really, cuz for every play you pay for, youre paying 4x as much as they do for the prizes. so you still make them an ass ton of money. and yeah alot of machines can have set win rates that the Arcade Owners determine
Sam T where can you get a Samsung for 8 bucks? Moron
I used to go to Seaside Heights every summer. My aunt lived in Tom's River right near the bridge. We would visit her for about a week. Each night we would cross the bridge into Seaside Heights. I've been to Lucky Leo's many times. I haven't been there in ages though: But I have many fond memories of that boardwalk. Anyway, I'm glad to see you enjoying yourself there.
Salute!
08:47 the party pooper has entered the stream

The definition of rigged claw machines.
I live in Newquay and I see arcade owners rigging these machines when nobody is looking. I even asked one of the owners and he didn't even deny it. It's just a scam as we all know.
OMG I went there last year
You see it when nobody is looking... hmmmmmmmm
prozoneuk wow, I’m not far from Newquay and the nearest arcade to me has rigged games too 😂
One Star on that arcade who ever kicked out of you
Lol agreed
Darkamp_48:::Don't you mean,1 🌟 for that arcade for whoever had you kicked out? Despite not really seeing him tossed out on his ear.
WOW that is the real life Eric Cartmen

The claw machine isn't broken they're made like that. Its to make sure you waste money
Woah. Good video. As usual. But damn he is big
Really enjoyed this video man keep it up!
Thanks bro 🤙🏼
Why is the amount of dislikes so high
I miss visible dislikes
so you got multiple prizes and they tell you that after you win them? you can sue them for that im pretty sure
so when did you get kicked out for winning too much? xD
Rallebabz when they declined his card so that he could not play. Forcing him to leave
vince yea but I thought it was based on the fact that the machine could no longer accept bonus money? Wouldn't that basically mean that there are limitations on those things?
Hey dude , you are the master!!!
Claw Gang!
11:16 "Oh we can't." Pause. Cuts to them doing the thing the person told them not to do. Wonders why they got kicked out.
Yupppp
I'd be a little miffed too, but carnivals and theme parks do the same thing. At least, the parks near me do. They limit you to one jumbo prize per visit. Still, though, at least this one isn't rigged and you can legit win, unlike the other one you played where they filed the notch at angle so it looks like it'd fit, but doesn't.
Yeah the funplex was rigged. When I saw carson and Trevor go here and win I had to try my luck!
Nerd Musk u thy
Did He Actually Win Something?
