Lauren’s out here doing the lord’s work with all these advent calendars! I’ve learned that I don’t really want to buy any of these advent calendars but it’s the FOMO of the experience of opening it I’m missing - watching these videos still gives me the same feeling of opening it with a friend!
The nice thing I see with this box is that there aren’t repeats. There’s nothing worse than getting a big advent calendar and it has multiple face masks or a bunch of lipsticks. Especially the typical “holiday reds”
One thing I do is compare two sets of numbers 1) Take how much paid for calender / day= per day paid 2) figure amount each item is worth = total value 3) take the items you will actually use calculate total value 4) compare the total value of calendar vs items will use vs actually paid 5) that is how I calculate how much personal value I find in the calendar
Lauren - I have 6, yes SIX of the Milk cheeks stick in the color Werk! Every single time I get a bag with a Milk cheek stick in it, that is the color in there. I agree 100% with you that I would rather have some affordable skincare instead of some off name item. The Advent Calendar was great!

I’ve passed the last couple of FFF advent calendars but this years is a ‘good fit’ for me. I love the outside box design as it’s very cleaver designing the shading to form a Christmas tree. I think it’s extremely rare to find (hard to design) an advent calendar with all full sized items. Thank-you for sharing your calendar. 🎄

I use Glamnetic nails and they are great. I've never had my nails done and just started using these about two months ago. My first set I didn't glue well and they came off easily. But the second set, I did a better job and they have lasted really well. You can also use their glue remover to remove the nails when you want, and that was pretty easy. They don't break and are really durable. They say they are reusable, but I can't attest to that yet. Just thought I'd give you a real review on them.
That lip looks so beautiful on you!! I wasn’t expecting this box to be as good as it was. Yea there were some ehh whatever days but for the most part there were some really good days like the body scrub, the hair mask and socks. Probably a little more overpriced than it should be, but definitely one of the better Advent calendars I’ve seen people open. If I wasn’t so broke I’d definitely get this one. Can’t wait to see more!!! ❤

This was the only advent calendar I would even consider buying, but I got rid of my fab fit fun a few years ago because I wanted something more make up heavy. I went to Ipsy then to BoxyCharm. I have BoxyCharm base and icon and I truly do love it
I like this year's calendar so much more than last year's. FFF is a favorite subscription box but it's been hit or miss for me this year. I am loving your Advent Calendar series this year!

From Versed: I really like their Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Toner. It's basically a chemical exfoliant but instead of just glycolic or lactic acid it has both and azelaic acid, niacinimide and a little Vitamin C. It's a little more dynamic than some exfoliants out there and it's a 4-ounce bottle so it lasts a while.

Those Spongelle sponges are the best for travel. I travel frequently for work and will cut the sponges in wedges and use them instead of hotel soap or having to bring liquid soap on flights
there's random boxes that are underwhelming but it's way worth the investment. it's just over 200 for the annual subscription but my first box was literally worth 195. i looked up all the retail prices myself. I've had the subscription for 2 years and i do not see myself cancelling if they keep up the quality of the box items. also the add on sales are great, i get body washes and spongelle bath sponges for hella discount 🎉❤
Definitely use the amika soul food mask. It's amazing. You shouldn't stay away from hair masks just bc your hair is thin. It still needs conditioning to stay healthy esp during the winter.
as someone who wears glasses to see or else I'm legally blind basically, I find it so odd that people choose to wear fake glasses (outside of a performance on screen/stage or something). Like, what I wouldn't give to not have to wear glasses to see

I signed up for the annual membership in the fall, and I feel like I hit the lottery with the extras they gave me. These eye roller globes you put in the freezer, Kate somerville Exfolikate, Dr. Brandt Pore Dermabrasion. I also got these Lilly pulitzer mugs that I'm not crazy about but can definitely give away as a gift.
If you paint (chunky glitter) polish on your nails before gluing fake nails on, it helps protect your actual nails, but the glitter helps the adhesive so they still stick. I have a Pacifica bioglitter polish specifically for that purpose.

I have used many glamnetic sets of nails with their glue. The glue is so good that if you find yourself catching your nails on things beware! I tore and entire nail off because their glue is so good. Don't get me wrong, this was my own clumsy fault. I find it a good thing that the glue is so good. Before this incident I wore glue on nails constantly, and theirs is the best out there. So I love their products. I was just a little traumatized from any nails over my own lol
The colour story of the Laura Gellar palette confuses me; if you can use the blush, the highlight is probably too dark, but if you can use the highlight the blush is probably too light. I suppose it makes it a little more universal item and you can use them as eyeshadows.
Your plumber will make a lot of money if you keep doing actual coffee grounds scrubs! The fine grind and structure of coffee makes the grounds turn into a cement-like substance in your pipes. I found out the hard way. It can take a long time to build up, but is very hard to remove. Also, there's really no OTC way to get caffeine into our skin at home, in a quantity that would matter. Just use coffee scented scrubs or pay for the plumber's new car lol
The glasses you got look like they have the anti-blue light coating on the lens. You wear them when using things like computer monitors to help with eye strain and reduce migraines for people that get them from blue light.

The best tool to open up everything is a seam ripper, a sewing tool. I have them everywhere.
Glamnetic has sticky tabs to glue the nail instead of using the actual glue, I've used the tabs and they stay on really well

The Spongelle's are great. Only the first 1-2 uses are harder. The sponge softens over time.

They look yellow tinted so I think they're actually blue light blocking for looking at screens. Not totally fake.
