Here's some facts about the video that you've been asking about: - When Taki pulls out her chainsaw she's saying _Ware wa Shi_ -> "I am Death". A twist on the line "I'm dead" that Gold says. - She later says _Shine!_ -> "Die!", when Fever is already hurt. That's merely an interjection. - Yes, Taki has her voice lines in Japanese. I recorded and edited them myself. - All content showcased in the video was setup using Psych Engine, although for this song to be playable I would need to make a few adjustments to it. - This cover was originally made back in November of 2021, but I decided to hold it because I had an idea of what I wanted some gameplay for it to look like, and I didn't have the means to make it happen back then. - While I modded all of the sprites Deivid sent me, all of his original sprites are still present, scattered across the several poses Taki does in the video.
its pretty cool how you can tell that the chainsaw is actually hurting fever. the win/lose icons on the bottom change throughout the song, and by the end he's missing his eyes and is gray.
Can we take a sec to appreciate the effort this man put in? He even added his own twists like custom jumpscares, extra animations, more than one sprite pattern, this man is a legend!
The Up pose + shading makes you realize Taki is looking down at Ceasar the whole time, and that, while accurate to their height, is utterly terrifying imo.
This is great, i didn’t expect this much detail for a monochrome cover. Like with the icons, Caesar looks shocked after the first jump scare, and angry after taking damage. My only problem is both their voices are slightly too deep (easily fixed)
How the icon changes from normal to surprised to struggling when Taki sliced Fever multiple times, and two more brought Fever on the edge of death and bleeding out from even his eyes, then the final one finished him right off, his icon fading. And With every slice by the blade Fever’s ability to push back the bar weakens, which is also a really good detail. Taki’s changing sprites also make this look like a first person animation like AND IT’S WAY TOO COOL Edit: THE LAUGH AT THE END THOO
Everybody praising the mechanics and the cover itself, but why is no one mentioning how clever is to use Taki as she is in this song? Her colour pallete is literally monochrome, that's very smart if you ask me.
I love the fact that the more you get slashed, the less health you regenerate, until you’re left with a sliver of health and 0 regen to finish the song.
I love just how fucking _extra_ this is. Taki's animations changing once the song gets off the ground, Fever actually getting batted about as Taki slashes him with the chainsaw, the fact that Taki has unique animations when they do so, the HP bar draining exponentially as Fever loses blood, it's all just **chef's kiss!** _glorious._

Normally, I think it is lazy when a modder just does a cover of one popular song and then just reskin it. This is a better one of those solely because of the sprite style and it isn't just making Taki dead. I like when people take the song and do more than just make the character in the style. Also, please make this into a downloadable playable mod or something because I love this

This guy got not shitty sounding Taki vocals, but both Fever and Taki into the GB sounding voices, gave Taki really well done custom sprites and even made them look slightly pixelated, and changed it from the visible singer being dead to the visible singer killing you. At that point it is different enough to where I like it. It isn't like that other Taki monochrome mod which just took her jumpscare image and stretched it out for the side sprites.

THIS COVER IS AMAZING, LIKE, IT HAS A HISTORY BEHIND IT, the fact that taki in the beginning was like, innocent, and after she pulls the chainsaw and some more time later she attacks cesar, its so well made that you see after many attacks, she killed cesar, you know this because his icon shows him dead and when he sings, the bar wont fill anymore, so taki killed cesar and left, such a true horror history
Cesar was still alive, but critically injured. He was singing until Taki got enough of his useless attempts at staying alive and killed him after the last note.
Late to the party on this, but this mod makes perfect use of Taki’s design. Her “derpy” looking eyes become terrifying when they stare at you later on, she vibrates cause she holds the chainsaw and becomes more aggressive after cutting Cesar. It’s a match made in heaven and the sprite work is fantastic. Awesome job dude!
This cover really does get across just how creepy Taki actually is. Seeing her from a side 3rd person view is one thing, but from this perspective is actually pretty intimidating.

And I didn't really think the title was gonna be taken literally, and here's Taki several moments in slowly murdering Cesar. I love how the sprite changes again to have blood on the chainsaw. AND I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY PEOPLE NOTICED THIS, BUT TOWARDS THE END, CESAR DOESN'T EVEN REGENERATE ANYMORE. He can't. He got sliced more than once by a MOFO CHAINSAW WOAH, realistically I don't even think he'd survive to finish the song tbh. But obviously that's not part of the criticism. JUST EVERYTHING BRUH. The slice animations, the fact that some of the jumpscares differ from each other. The goddamn cover of course. EVERYTHING. RUVSTYLE, DRAGSHOT, AND DEIVID, YOU GUYS ARE LEGENDS.

I also like how the drain gets more and more brutal with time. Hell, Ceasar even loses his eyes at 1:54 compledely (or at least, imitates Gold's appearance in that song.) Altho, Taki just vibrating violently in her first idle looks kinda hilarious. Likely from the chainsaw but you wouldn't be able to tell so at first.
this is an interesting take on the original Monochrome cover formula, and i love it! it takes the, "I'm dead" line and makes it something cool. instead of the enemy being the dead person, none of them are, until the end that is, where the player dies, and it's really interesting.

Glad to hear you liked it! At 0:35 Taki is saying "I am Death" in Japanese, since I've noticed Foodieti used to go with Japanese voice lines for her. I recorded the line myself, and with a couple of sound effects on it I got it to sound convincing.
Not going to lie, I think this alternate switch is a little better than the original and the most fitting for Taki's character as well as the perfect dark ending! And for that you have earned this subscription!

You also forgot the fact that after Taki starts using the saw and draining health by singing the losing icon for Cesar is a little Monochrome
Their voices aren't deep it's that the effect used on the voice makes it sound more deep then it actually is.

At 0:35 Taki is saying "I am Death" in Japanese, since I've noticed Foodieti used to go with Japanese voice lines for her. I recorded the line myself, and with a couple of sound effects on it I got it to sound convincing.

Not going to lie, I think this alternate switch is a little better than the original and the most fitting for Taki's character as well as the perfect dark ending!
