Hi Dave great videos just watched where you went through the water on the Western side when the tide is in your driving through Salt water. Your Team crossed it perfect time Thanks Heaps
I have both the Dometic and Evakool. The Dometic pulls less than 2.5 amps but is a fridge only. On Max it’s 0 degrees in normal conditions. If you use it up north it’s lucky to maintain 3 degrees which I like my beers at 0. Which is a pain because you need the beers colder in 40 plus degrees. The Evakool is 40L but Fridge or Freezer. Out of the both the Evakool is the best, Howe it does pulls the most power at average of 5 amps and cycles much more. That said, up north set it to minus 2 and you get a perfect 0 for the beers. Also the Evakool while only 10L more is 1.5x the size of the Dometic!
Mate another great blog, I was starting to get cold turkey waiting for your next one..... some good points regarding fridges to think about. Wouldn’t mind if you do something similar regarding aerial set ups on the front bars. Looking forward to your next one. Cheers.
Unless things have changed dramatically there's a very very good reason you don't see many people on the western side in summer - sandflies. Dusk/dawn, and most hours in between, they are truly brutal. Try hanging around Wathumba Creek for more than 5.nanoseconds and if you haven't met the sandy greeting crew then mosquito squad will have descended.
I’d be curious to know how the long term life of your Alternator will be. Eg slow speed or 4WD with max amps from it because it’s charging at 140 amps and creating massive heat. Fully charged the alternator will be only Charing at low amps.
You say you need a drop down slide but Warren's only drops his down to the floor level anyway. It would be easier to have stacked draws and no heavy expensive drop fridge slide which is what i'll do in my S5
Think you got your east and west sides mixed up Dave! 😆 You either sound like your sick or you’ve been chatting too much? If sick, my theory is you get sick when you’ve been working hard and then relax on a break afterwards.
Good choice of drinks in the drawer fridge there Dash, gotta love a few 101's :)

Loving the theory with the single Lithium crank battery, looking like a good option.
Sounding a bit horse today Dave, rough night 😂
Wife loves the western side, we are going back to Awinya end of February for her Birthday.
I run the kickass draw fridge in both vehicle’s they are fantastic light on the front and controls perfect and it will freeze no worries

I think you should be doing the reviews, great info, thanks 🙏

Was out of service for a fair bit. They’ll start trickling though again now. Good idea on the antenna set ups

The black y62 tires aren't center at the wheel barrel. Does it need sway bar spacer or something?
Silly question mate. How do I free spool the winch. Which way do I turn the level on the barrel ?
Can I just buy a new 62 and drop it off for you to build Dash? 👍
Engel 60l combi had the lowest height I could find with freezer when bought it. (Land Rover D4 full air bags helps 😂)
How come Murts has so many problems with his Carbon winch
Does he 🤷♂️
Hey Dash....I heard a Y62 had to be towed? Was it one of yours? Was there an issue mate? Cheers
Not sure if i missed it, but why couldnt you get up past north Ngkala? Was it just high tide or is it closed?
Closed by the land owners unfortunately
Hey Dash what exhaust set up are you running and is there a drone when towing? Love the sound.
Manta cat back, sounds awesome but lots of drone
Don't you think is a bit risky having one battery in an Auto. so you cant roll start.
I carry a jump pack too
Victron do a controller that limits the charge to 20% so you can always start the engine
Would it not be safer to put a snatch bag or something over you cable incase it breaks while winching
sold on that 80 extreme... damn..
Where’s the best place to buy loukoumathes? George would know
lOVE UR BEAST PATROL😎
What's George cooking tonight?

How are you feeling about DC's now mate? @dashoffroad
You really should do something about the whole shenanigans with Stephan Fischer @all9ffr9ad
I’m taking a wide berth on that one. I’m too busy to chase the rabbit down that hole
