Awesome stuff! When 99% of 4wd youtubers are just chasing money and ramming sponsored junk down our throats this channel is really a breath of fresh air!!
No clickbait, no sponsorship crap, nothing fake, I love it. All the big 4x4 channels on RUclips feel really fake now and are becoming annoying. Hence why I'm always excited when a new Aussie Arvos video is out
There is no shame in being aware of your abilities and limitations. If you push your self to do something you are not ready for that is when accidents happen. You made the right choice given the situation of the tides and unfamiliar conditions. Shows great maturity Patrick. Great video and some great coverage of one of Australia's great treasures.
AMAZING!!! And your editing is next level Patrick good work! Also all the history and as always your excitement with waterways is the best thing😁. AND the part where you’ve got old footage from your trip when you were little😭🙌🏽bless!!!!! Too much goodness in one video👏🏽.
Fantastic video mate. Loved every minute of it. You are fast becoming my favourite content creator. As a fellow Victorian I completely understand why beach driving makes you nervous.
One of my favourite channels now. Just dreading the day you stop being independent and heaps of drifta stuff starts appearing everywhere. I know they need to promote stuff but they’ve ruined so many RUclips channels for me. Keep doing EXACTLY what you’re doing and you will be over 100k b4 you know it.
Brilliant episode. Not a single boring second in it. Your editing skills are nearing professional level, so is your story telling skills. Love how you incorporated historical footage/photos when discussing the history of K'gari, as well as your own 4WDing footage as a child. It's what takes your story telling into the next level.👍❤️👏
Just watched your 'debrief' at 37:20, you did the right thing! Being on the 'wrong' side of 60 teaches you a few things! I tell every young person I come into contact with who has just got their licence "One day you WILL have an accident, just take the necessary steps to make it a small one!" Excellent work with the Channel and Content, you two are a credit to your parents, keep up the great work please!
Probably one of the best fraser videos i have seen in a long time.. probably ever. You showed the tracks, the camping spots, actually BEING on the island. No advertising spots, the good and bad shown, what its really like. This just made me want to get to k'gari more then ever. Absolutely fantastic Patrick and Anya.
Awesome work! harkens back to the good old days of Aussie 4x4 content, no selling, no product placement, no stickers or hoodies! just honest real 4x4ing!!! keep up the stellar work! and ya need to come over to WA some day! we got some stonking 4x4 adventures over here
Fantastic episode. I enjoyed every minute of it. Your stories through your editing is brilliant. Your use of B rolls and old footage, as well as appropriate background music adds to the story. I was fully absorbed in the whole thing. Good to see Anya starting to come out of her shell in the videos. She looks like a funny girl. Well done you two. Loved it. Looking forward to your next one. ❤❤👍👍
Great work mate and you made the right choices about the rocks. You are there to enjoy your time and experience, not destroy your vehicle the environment and have bad memories. What it does do is create a desire to head back and try another time.
I don’t care what anyone say, I respect your choice to turn around and not head to the cape but in the future in better conditions and more experience I would love to see you conquer the cape. 👍 good job bro
Great video from both of you.... I love fraser Island, been there 3 times now. I loved seeing how excited you were just being there and the first time driving on the sand, reminds me of my first time on Fraser. Its just the best place and even though I've been there 3 time, it's still on my bucket list. also I love how your girlfriend makes fun of you.
Such a great quality video Patty! As someone who doesn't know much about cars and owns a corolla, your content is still super engaging. 👊 Your story telling and sense of adventure is awsome and its great to see you enjoying what our beautiful country has to offer. Hope to see you on the roads one day, you're really convidning me to get a 4x4 😁
What a refreshing view to say "Nup, not worth it" on you tube. You've shown you can have a fantastic time without taking risks on your own. Hats off to you 🙂. I've also done the Beachport-Robe run. We had a fantastic time after rain had wet the dunes but know how easy it would be to get "Beach PTSD" there too. Well done and love your content👍
Great ep Patrick, well done on the whole trip! Anya is a classic also. I'm really glad you showed the thought process when it comes to an uncertain situation. "maybes" and "what ifs" might haunt you later, but that's much better than losing your vehicle or putting either of you in danger.
Really excellent video Pat. Anya is fantastic. She is very supportive, and clearly into the 4wd and camping scene etc So much excellent info about Fraser. I think being cautious with the beach & off road driving is the right thing to do. Particularly when u r not experienced with the area, or those conditions. U r most definitely not being wimpy… Big damage or a total loss of the LC, would be a huge hassle and loss. Not worth taking unnecessary risks. Stay safe. 👍
Been there twice in the last 10 years. This vid just brought back all the memories of my previous trips. Can not wait to get my 80 series and family back there for another trip
I was on Fraser for the Clean Up. 8.2 tonnes of rubbish collected. Rain, rain and more rain. Did I say it rained, oh yeah and wind too. At least Sunday for our day of picking up rubbish, and Monday for pack up, the sun came out.
Great video mate, and just for the record. There’s nothing whimpy about using your brain and avoiding a shit situation(sandy cape dilemma)a smart choice mate. Just gives you another reason to comeback👍. Nice work, loving it😁
10:50 This made me so nostalgic of my home I cried. I’ve only been away since February but I haven’t been to pouto (the place this reminds me of) in a year. So beautiful this makes me want to get out more
Looks like you had a blast Fraser Island is awesome I was there 20 years ago now I am showing my age and you even bumped into big Sam and the naughty 40 wot a fantastic rig now don't get any ideas Pat great video lots of sand and wind cheers legends
Fraser is awesome. 1st went there 40 yrs ago. It was untouched by technology, Awesome tailor fishing. Around August. And onward. Don't forget about Stradbroke or Noreton Island both off the Brisbane coast line. Both have their own qualities to explore
Great vid. I was the one with the big van you mentioned. Was worth the effort to get it there as the weather was crap for the week we stayed after the 4WDQLD annual cleanup.
Great video mate. Having visited Fraser since I was a little tyke back in the early 80's, it's always fun to see it through a fresh eye's perspective. As for turning back at Sandy Cape, you probably would have made it, but honestly, your reasoning was sound, and without more information, you made a good choice. I've seen a number of cars written off because their owners didn't know their limitations, and chanced it around the rocks when they really shouldn't have. I don't know if they still have it, but there's the wall of infamy in Rainbow Beach, photos of all the 4WD's that did precisely that around the rocks there.
Another excellent adventure by Anya and Pat! Hey Pat, you've been scarred as a kid with getting bogged in sand...you know what to do! Go forth and get bogged in sand my boy. Dig yourself out, prove to yourself that the fear is just that - a fear.
Another great video mate, l thoroughly enjoyed it. Beach driving is great but can obviously be risky too. My motto when faced with potential drama, is, "if in doubt, back out". Always best to "err on the side of caution". 😊
You've done a great job of summing up why us QLDer's are so obsessed with Fraser! There is absolutely nothing like driving up that beach, and watching the sunset from camp with a Beer
Awesome video mate, loved the voice over, tips history of everything. Definitely not worth pushing yourself to get to Sandy Cape if your not confident mate. The 80 will live to see another day 🤙
Awesome video as always! editing was great, as was everything else. Disappointing you couldn't make it Sandy cape, but I think you made the right decision.
Not only do you make great content. I really love who you are as a person mate. Down to earth. Intuned with your emotions and not afraid to show it. Like your other video how proud you are when you saw your swivel hubs and wheel bearings were still in good nick. Mate keep up the great work . Always enjoy your videos!
great content mate your channel covers it all the build till the payoff and no false performances !!!! keep it up . ps i watch all the ads thru too to help !
Some of the best times I had on my k'gari solo trip was the long stretch of beach driving.. good music.. stopping for a fish and a feed here and there.. such an epic place
very well filmed 🎬 congrats on your trip ! you did such a great job putting in all the extra effort to explain everything properly ! very entertaining also ! 🛻🤙😎🌅
Cracking vid mate! Nice to see an authentic video of Fraser and every day people enjoying it and being sensible. Looks like you both had a great time, looking forward to the trip home vid 👊
Bloody awesome video mate. We were there around the same time. Also turned back after Ngkala Rocks. The tide was much higher and not worth the risk. Glad you finally made it up here to this part of the world. You should come up for the annual clean up next year. It's an awesome cause and so much fun
Seeing you two travel and experience things for the first time. Has very much brightened up my pretty bad day. Thanks for sharing and continue stoking that wanderlust.
Awesome stuff!

Killing it, cant wait for the next Ep!! Anya looks like a fun sidekick too :) Put a ring on that one
Fantastic video mate. Loved every minute of it. You are fast becoming my favourite content creator. As a fellow Victorian I completely understand why beach driving makes you nervous.

That beach at robe /beachport is notorious for bogging 4bees

This is the best raw, authentic Fraser Island video I’ve come across 🔥
I love watching this content. Pure happiness and excitement all around. No showing for the camera. This video is perfect.
Dude this is unreal! Some of your finest work. Love watching these hung over on a Sunday morning haha
Cheers Oscar!!!
Just what i need after a night shift kick back and watch aussie arvos 👌

By far the best Frazier video on the net. Amazing job. Awesome to see the guy's from fulcrum showing mutual respect. Great work.

Thanks Jon, that's it! cheers :)
Don’t beat yourself up about not going to the cape, you respected the conditions, the island and your 4wd and that’s what counts. Good for you 👍
I wasn't ready to sit through a 45 minute video but I was glued to it the whole time!
I don’t care what anyone say, I respect your choice to turn around and not head to the cape but in the future in better conditions and more experience I would love to see you conquer the cape. 👍 good job bro

I'm getting "Early days of 4wd action" vibes. Almost the highest compliment I can give. 🙏
For a long video mate it was awesome. Didn’t get bored. You’re a natural.
Love it when it rains after the beach best way to wash the salt off
The best, no bullshit review I've seen of Frasier. Amazing video mate!

This or 4wd 24/7…… this is way better. Calmer, not so intense, not so sponsored, less ego. Stay the course guys, this is good content!

Wow absolutely awesome!! Definitely on my bucket list. Thank you for sharing
The beauty of those rocks is, if you are keen with a shovel, you can fill the holes.
What an amazing video! Very well done! And Anya is an absolute champion, her personality reminds me a little of Gwynn from 4XOverland.
Im 30seconds in and the amount of editing that has already gone into it is insane!
Bloody national geographic over here 😍 love your stuff!!
Thanks Jarred! Too kind! 🙏
Awesome video guys 🤙 Happy the weather cleared up for you for a few days there!

Good decision on the rocks.... could of ended in real tears! Just an amazing trip and great video!
Unreal, best Fraser viewing I’ve seen. Fraser is definitely on my bucket list

Awesome video guys ! Conditions were poor, you were not confident so you made the right call. That in itself is a great lesson for everyone.
Great video. Very informative as this will be our next trip. Thanks
Great vid mate. Making me fall back in love with the humble 80.
Good to see you being honest about sandy cape mate, most people would just edit and pretend they were never trying to get there

Really good ! I’ve seen bits of the Fraser that I haven’t before! Can’t wait to go there myself! You two are awesome cheers!
Awesome work guys! Makes me want to pack my car and go! Right call on not crossing the rocks, as you said, when on your own, best not to temp fait.
