YOU BROKE HIS BABY!!! Such a beautiful trip, definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Love how he was so gracious about the truck breaking. Thank you for sharing this amazing trip with us.
I spent a month in Australia and from personal experience I can say Justin’s reaction was typical Australian!! They give you a hard time and take it all in stride with a smile!! Great country and amazing people!!!!!
I understand the PB&J thing. I got a lot of funny looks from my Southern In laws about cornbread and apple sauce. That's how my German grandparents ate their cornbread.
What a cool adventure down under Brad! Even with the breakdown you had such an amazing time in such a beautiful place! You had some killer drone shots in this episode, thanks for sharing!
Always enjoy some Fraser Island content, great series, loved all the food segments, looked amazing and I could taste it from here, grew up on vegemite and PBJs when I was a kid btw, must be a Kiwi thing. Marco is a whizz, you can all come on any trip anytime to NZ, after ya seen OZ of course and we want to see the Patriot family over here one day too. How you guys summed it up the trip and also hearing Justin experiences right back to when he was a kid coming there with his Dad, those memories are priceless. This is how some friends of mine and his parents felt when I took them into the High Country, this past weekend, forecast was snow and not looking good, turned out great as often happens in the valleys deep in the Southern Alps of NZ, while they had trepidations as they have never been off road and not like this before, they loved it and were so thankful they got to experience it, which otherwise wouldn't have been possible and they wouldn't have even known what they had missed, like Justin I got that same sense of enjoyment, sharing that with them but seeing their excitement and joy by being there and seeing part of our country they couldn't have gotten to, paid or otherwise, was awesome, they also have come a very long way from overseas to see there Son and Daughter in law. Pity you guys couldn't stay longer and see more of Australia, a longer return trip will have to be in the future for TrailRecon and crew huh, I see Cape York , Tassie and other adventures in the future and don't forget NZ, we shred too 🤘
Way to go out with a bang Brad! Lol. What a treat to watch this series. Really appreciate the Patriot family for providing the opportunity to us all to experience this trip. The genuine feeling of comradely was definitely felt by me. God Bless you all.
That's crazy that the water is so clean. I guess it's a reward for living in a country where everything is trying to kill you. It's great that Justin was a good sport about the Land Cruiser breaking down. That's awesome that they invited you and that you had a good time in a beautiful country with such wonderful hospitality.
What a fantastic adventure. The way you captured it on video was almost as good as being there. Thanks to Justin and Patriot Campers for taking you guys on such an epic trip. The food and meals you had at camp was amazing. No doubt we will see some new items on the menu when you get back home. Sorry the black truck broke (not your fault Brad) it's not a Jeep! Lol! My question...driving on the beach in salt water how do they prepare and maintain the vehicles to prevent rust damage? Might consider a show on ways to protect the undercarriage from the elements in the future. Awesome!
Thank you! Yes you need to be mindful of the salt water and we avoided to as much as possible. The beach streams you see us splashing through are actually freshwater.
Wonderful adventure! I've been watching you for years and I'd say that your skill as a videographer really took a leap with these Aussie episodes. I taught a class in Nelson Bay, NSW once and I remember marveling at the scenery and saying "this place looks like a South Pacific island." Then I realized it actually was. (Like most of us in the USA, I had no idea about what "OZ" actually looked like - I'd expected desert and kangaroos. :)
i live in port stephens it is fantastic never gets old going past nelson bay and through the heads out to sea, there's broughton island offshore you can camp at. and something that ties port stephens to fraser island is fraser island shares a lot of plant life with port stephens, going from port stephens to fraser island feels like home when you get into the scrub.
Adventures have ups and downs. It just add flavor to the trip. And the down of a break down adds nice emphasis and contrast to the highs of the trip. That was definitely the trip of a life time.
Finally had a chance to review this series. It was wonderful to see Australia from your adventure. The video and audio was fantastic. Spending time with family and new family is killer. I need to find my way there someday. The clear lakes, jungle, who knew it was that beautiful. Brad my only WTF was we didn’t get a full review of the Rig’s. I’ll give you room because I loved it. Keep posting great content, and I’ll keep watching.
What a fabulous trip!! And we're sure the throat issue was caused by that instant coffee!! LOL!! Very impressed with the electric motors on the Gen2 Patriot Campers tent!
Kgari Island beaches kind of reminds me of Padre island here in Texas, but with a much more fascinating interior of the island. What an epic trip! Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us!
What an adventure not only for you but for us as well. I learned several things, like the wreck and the island and dingos, and for that I thank you. Until next time... Travel safe.
Epic adventure down under. It's always a toss-up that something won't break when out having fun. Making memories like this is far better than sitting at home with the adventure vehicle sitting in the garage! Glad you had a great trip and you're home safe. 😉✌
The freshwater streams and the dingo predators I found to be riveting! Awesome experience you had with a great group of trailblazers! Thank you for sharing!
I think you can appreciate being on the island how easy it is just hitting the reset button. Talking about fish at the beach on the north side of Indian Head where you had lunch and we'd catch up to 300 Tyler each per day to fillet & fill the fishing club's trailer freezer. This has to have been one of your most epic adventures and thanks for sharing it with us 😁😁👌
Man what an adventure. Beautiful country with the most amazing group of people. Poor black truck 😢 but was happy to see the TrX getting things done. I don’t think Justin will ever let that one go. Probably be a life long family member like the black truck
Wow, what a trip! Amazing sites. Interesting culture and history. The food sounded like it was great. Justin seemed like a really great guy. It'll be hard to top this adventure.
Sick trip you guys, at the end of the day, nobody got hurt & I reckon you'd know it if Justin was pissed off. Hahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!!! Its a cast housing, castings don't have a tonne of torsional strength. You already know this. Could have happened to anyone.
Like i said in first video comments, so nice to see a different perspetive from some one else who isnt living in this country.. So many things im watching that failed to make it in the Patriots video. Then the likes of the clear water stream, pancakes and Christian & Sarah leaving ect. But over all, your detail to the surroundings and added info like the wreck, ive seen several other peoples go this route but they fail to give detailed info to the viewers. Im like watching this trip and being with you for the first time.. 36:39 says it all and even Justin says it. You have a Sub.
Somethings are universal! LOL. Overlanding (Touring) often doesn't go as planned no matter where in the world you are. But usually the challenge/experience gives the trip that little bit of adversity to turn the trip in to a better story with some serious character later on down the line when telling the story or sharing it on RUclips.
@@TrailRecon That is freaking awesome. I remember the corpsmen at Balboa after doing my MRI on my knee laughed at me and said "well you're f**ked" Ended my Military career in the Marine Corps.
Two of the best youtubers tht I follow with so much enthusiasm. ...guys its wonderful see you all togeather....next I would love you see the patriot team in US soon....
I have been waiting to get a watch a full video thank you Marco for posting the link 🤙 m glad to be back in the off-road scene we just purchased a power wagon!

I’m 2 months away from my Fraser trip I literally watched your videos and decided after 10 years it was time to go back ! It’s 5000km round trip for me so it’s a pretty big trip . So keen to get up there !
This whole series was amazing, thank you for sharing it. One question, I noticed that even on the day trips, Justin was towing the trailer, did he do that so you all had a kitchen for lunch?
Slapped on a thick layer of vegemite between a couple slices of bread expecting apple butter. Nope, no similarity. my first and last vegemite sandwich.
Great video, loved a recap of Fraser Island, haven’t been in 25 years, still looks the same, think I need to again, thanks Brad, hope you and Regina really enjoyed yourself downunder. Actually like the US vids, you show great places I have never been, though I have been to US 10 times..
Corn and butter, put them in foil paper on the fire. Make sure not to burn it!! Take it out, add more butter, salt, mayo, ( I added parmesan ) cotija cheese works better in my opinion, add lemon or lime and the salsa of your choice, valentina works amazingly ! Enjoy
I loved seeing this adventure! Unfortunately, unless you record EVERYTHING with the Jeep, this trip doesn't count. I mean, what kind of video is it without the Jeep? Thanks for bringing us along!
This has been my favorite series of videos you have done! Curious how many times you had a military 'safety brief' in the field where the first thing they tell you is "DO NOT F*** with the wildlife". It was always the first three things I heard LMAO! Dingos sure are cute tho :)

As an American who tried Vegemite once, it's certainly different. It defies explanation.
I love it on toast with butter.
Hot crusty toast, lotsa butter and don’t spread the Vegemite too thick 😋
You need the size of a nickel and spread that with butter, too much is awful.
