Hi Doctor Dan.I hope you can do reaction to this video “From ICU to Grave”. It’s documentary (with english sub) about frontliners in Malaysia who fights against covid19. Link: ruclips.net/video/AGn-8oZaMCA/видео.html
Doctor Dan An episode I would find interesting is season 6 the last 2 episodes..... i think 23 and 24 (2 part episode) one titled death and all its friends.
Please watch the plane crash( please someone help me with number )episode and shooting episode (last two episode of season 6 ) If you want the reaction of these episodes! Hit like !!
Please review the HIV episode where Miranda removes HIV strain from the HIV virus and gives it to the "bubble boy" to help build his immune system. Season 10, episodes 22-23. 22 is the episode she gives him the deactivated HIV virus and 23 is the repercussions of her doing that. Also same season episode 18 shows a family that has three children have cardiomyopathy and they appear until episode 23. My questions: can what Miranda did really happen? Regarding the McNell Family, can that also really happen? I'm really interested in seeing your review (please, please, please), I've been watching GA since episode 1 first aired.
The one episode of Grey's that I think would be great to react to is Season 6 Episode 6, "I Saw What I Saw." It's SUPER light on drama and is written more like a murder mystery than a typical medical drama show. There's a fire at a motel and a woman who appears fine ends up dead. The residents are all questioned by Webber and the legal team in order to figure out how she died and who's responsible.
Someone already said this but you should react to season 6 episode 6 of grey's anatomy. Honestly one of my favourite episodes. It shows how one error progressed into a big disaster
You should watch for the next episode for when Dr. Shepherd( Derek, aka Patrick Dempsey) dies because I feel that there are a lot of things that you could elaborate and explain since there are very complicated procedures and words that not many people would know.
So I actually really like the mini clips you put while explaining the medical terms!! And I also like seeing the pictures that exhibit a bone versus a broken bone X-ray. Keep it up!! Thank you!!
i’ve always been interested in the medical field and anatomy. i got into medical classes as soon as i could in highschool, have been through Foundations of Healthcare, Medical Terminology, Pathology, and am about to start Anatomy & Physiology. i quickly became obsessed with your channel when it was reccomended to me. i’ve seen lots of medical professionals review this show and other medical shows, but none as thorough and informative as you. i don’t normally comment on things like this, but your videos have given me back my interest in this field after being discouraged. all that to say, thank you !!
i think what bailey mean when she said that sound like a plan to me 8:16 she was referring to her marriage like grow old with her husband, because tuck her husband is planning for a divorce because bailey is neglecting her family over surgery/workload. im sorry grey's ana. is part of my study routine i watch this over and over during study break.
i’m so glad that you a) actually reacted to the clips, like you allowed yourself to laugh and watch the show b) gave a good score for realism and didn’t nitpick every single detail in the show. i love seeing that at least you enjoyed the show a little and didn’t immediately go “this is so unrealistic and stupid i hate it” (even if the overall entertainment score was 5/10 lol)
I actually love medical shows! They bring out the positive and emotional sides of doctoring. . . maybe it's a bit dramatic than real life but it hits on alot of the reasons why we love what we do.
the xrays you added were so cool! the nonfractured vs fractured was really interesting to see, especially bc I’ve never broken a bone (thankfully!) so I’ve never gotten a chance to see an X-ray of one up close lol. my dad broke his pinky a couple years ago and I asked to see the X-ray but he was so out of it before the surgery he only remembered to take a pic of the X-ray post op with the pins sticking out, but it was to see still cool to see! your explanation of the fixations made a lot of sense as to why we could see the pins (they just looked like metal sticks idk if pin is the right term) sticking out of his finger. very interesting!
Your reaction videos are the BEST! I’m a teacher and I have to say, your explanations are flawless (like that of a veteran educator). Everything is super thorough and broken down logically for those of us who aren’t experts in surgery and medicine. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos :) I am shocked you don’t have more subscribers!
These are my fav videos of yours ! I would love to see a day in the life during the pandemic for you! Stay safe and thank you for making these videos 😊
heyyyy! you should do greys anatomy 6x06. it’s my favorite episode, is about a mistake that escalated, and because the pit was so full the patient wasn’t assigned to anyone and that led to her death. is brilliantly shot and very well written. in my opinion is the best greys anatomy episode.

@@DoctorDan I watch all your videos. You're so educational in how you explain things. I've learned a lot from you. I'm in the UK about to start med school at the ripe old age of 33 😬 I must be a bit crazy! You're inspirational, thanks for the efforts you put in! It's very much appreciated, especially now when we're all going slightly stirr crazy at home 😊
For a spine surgeon AND RUclipsr, you have amazing editing skills and descriptions of situations throughout your videos! You definitely have a new subscriber!!!!!
when we learned to test blood in school for biological technical assistants we also used our own blood, like with one of the pinchers for blood sugar tests, we learned to identify our blood types and count red blood cells and it was AMAZING
Hey Doc, loved this video like usual! Still don't know how you don't have more subscribers! Would love for you to react to Season 2 Episodes 15 and 16 (The Devil's Workshop and Fallen Angels) of the medical drama Code Black. It's honestly the best medical drama in my opinion by far. Those episodes in particular would be great to react to, as they deal with quarantine being set up in the hospital! Sending love and positivity your way from Sri Lanka!
“Human connection is the most important thing” true that Doctor Dan! Last year I went through surgery. My first ever and I was super scared and nervous. After I was brought to the pre-op room and after they got me ready my doctor came in, said hi and she gave me a heartfelt hug. That meant the world to me! It gave me reassurance that they were taking good care of me
I wish you could've given a speech to the ER doc I saw when I was having real issue and he, in a very dismissive tone and attitude, told me I was only constipated, which I was not. He should've had a lesson on a patient having a story and that I am a real person.
The part with the interns practicing on themselves went wayyyyy too far later on. They started by doing IVs on themselves which is whatever, but then they started practicing sutures on themselves then epidurals and catheters, and then to the point where they did an appendectomy unsupervised. So yeah they went wayyy to far with it
Your videos are so informative! I love absorbing all the knowledge you’ve been sharing on your channel, you make me want to reconsider studying in medicine!
there's three episodes of greys that i think you should react to and I'm recommending three because they run off of each other and once you watch the first one you pretty much need to watch the other three. there all in season three and there epidoses 15, 16, 17. it starts off where some of the doctors have to go to a ferry boat accident but then one of the doctors experiences a near death accident.
I love watching greys anatomy and i might want to be a doctor when I'm older. How did you know you wanted to be a doctor and from what age did you know it was your passion? What does it take to be a good doctor and a good med student? luv your vids!
A Korean medical drama called 'Hospital Playlist' just ended and it's been highly praised by doctors!! Apparently it's very, very detailed. I watched it and it was just all around awesome and wholesome. I hope you could react to it! (It's on Netflix)
@@Mini-Toast_ i thought it was very entertaining!! The 5 main characters are also part of a band (which they revived from med school) so that's new. A lot of korean doctors have reacted to it in yt and have focused on the patients & how realistic the surgeries/procedures are. It would be nice to see the contrast between american and korean medicine from dr. dan!
I love your videos! I wish I could see you react to season 13 episode 7. Watching your videos helps me understand the medicine better and I’m wondering your thoughts on the legality of the situation and what you’d do if that was your surgery!
I really enjoyed your video! You should react to season 10 episode 9. An ortho surgeon faces a malpractice suit and I’m curious to see your reaction to it all!!
When I watched Grey's Anatomy, the ortho was like Hermione Granger, she can fix everything! So when I had a TFCC tear, I was so mad to my bf because he is a super spine surgeon and he said he couldn't fix my wrist and referred me to his colleague!

In pharmacy school we actually practice giving each other immunizations and testing blood glucose as well! I think there is a lot of merit to practicing on actual people, as long and the students are supervised and doing it safely.
Did you ever notice that they don't use sharps on the show? I don't know if I've ever really seen many/any on the show but I know after using needles, they DON'T put them in sharps.
I think they make the characters jump from one specialty to another just to keep the plots interesting. This show has been going on for so long they may run out of 'only general surgery' storylines
From what I heard, Shonda Rhimes had nurses help her for "medical procedures" and steps. that's why most of the time, the way the surgeons work in the show is inaccurate
I know this is an old video, but when I had broken my fibula, and dislocated my ankle. They had to use the external on me to keep everything set right.
I always thought that all the illnesses on Greys were super rare. Until my 6month old had a cerebral AVM that ruptured (she survived her craniotomy) and the only place I had heard of an AVM was Greys Anatomy.
My sister had a crushed pelvic bone in a car accident. It was indeed devastating for her for months. Afterward I think she was told that she couldn’t have a vaginal birth for future children, and she did have c-sections on both her kids.
is cadaver really a word used for people in english? we have a similar term in german, “kadaver”, but that is usually referring to dead animals. I mean cadaver sounds much cooler than dead body sooo i’d understand
Yay! New ones! Especially in the summer we're all there is on TV is game shows. I only like Jeopardy. And Netflix has something on Lenox Hill. I mention this for the other fans of Grey's Anatomy. Someone said ACT and I knew what it was!
Just found your channel and I’m new subscriber 😊 can you react to Chicago Med there’s also a Dr. Choi on there 😂 Ethan Choi to be exactly I noticed your middle initial and was like that’s such a coincidence lol he’s one of my favorite doctors on there EDIT: I see in the suggestion you already have, awesome!
Good evening from SA! New fan here :) I'm just curious regarding residency... you said that general surgery residents don't work in speciality fields like cardiothoracic or urology so what do they actually do?
General surgery is typically mostly abdominal surgeries like gallbladder removals and appendectomies. Gen surg residents also do fellowships on specialties like cardiothoracic and endocrine to operate on other parts of body
When I was in training, we practiced on each other. We inserted lines , drawing blood (venous and arterial). Started iv s. Did not I tub ate but practiced viewing vocal chords.
I had a doctor tell me to suck it up and get over it, i was there because i had very bad morning sickness to the point where i was nearly hospolised. Ended up telling another doctor what they said to me and they seemed unhappy with how they spoke to me

From what I heard, Shonda Rhimes had nurses help her for "medical procedures" and steps. that's why most of the time, the way the surgeons work in the show is inaccurate
I read somewhere that Bokhee is actually a scrub nurse
I know this is an old video, but when I had broken my fibula, and dislocated my ankle. They had to use the external on me to keep everything set right.
