I cannot believe there are clowns in this comment section who believe this train is moving at anything less than 100mph ! They obviously don't realise how long trains are therefore when they pass they seem slower than a car at the same speed .
Your comment has been up for ten days now, and it still hasn't summoned anyone willing to work out the train's speed by comparing carriage length to number of video frames. What is wrong with people nowadays?
@@DavidCowie2022 train length = 265,4 m Tried to measure it frame by frame = 4,92 seconds Translates to 194,12 km/h = 121,31 mph Long trains tend to seem slow, but in reality ... yeah
Think of a model train. When they go top speed it is about 5mph, but, it looks like about 20 or 30, maybe even 100. That’s because big trains are longer so they cover more area so it takes shorter distance if you measure from the exact middle.
A standard 11 car Class 390 is 265.3 metres in length. It took approx 5 seconds for the pass-by. So that is 53.06 metres per second or 119 mph Edit: didnt realise that someone had already posted something similar as a reply to another comment
Thats so crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t care if this train IS doing 125mph as the video title suggests. I don’t care if it’s doing LESS than that, as some of the “we disagree therefore we’re right” keyboard warriors in the comments would suggest. All I know is I WOULDN’T WANT TO GET HIT BY THE DAMN THING!
The thing is literally hundreds of feet long, even at high speed it’s not going to look the same as a car moving at the same speed for example which is much much smaller.

Slowest 125 mph flyby ever recorded

I love the virgin pendolino because I live in Britain so is my favourite high speed train
*Zooms in* that’s slow…
*zooms out* OH FU-
About 60 mph I would say.
I played it back at 2x speed
Double that if you calculate how long it takes the train to pass
ill say one thing, maths
oh shut up this is more than 100mph, these things always looks slower in videos than they're irl
the maths says about 120mph,
roughly 5 seconds for a 265m long train to pass. ((265/5)*3600)/1600 = 119

Super Shot!😃. Well filmed.
Amtrak's Wolverine almost goes that fast!
Awesome!
Ok, so why did the gates stay closed for five and a half minutes?
It looks as fast as it is.
sure that wasnt 12.5Mph??
It's crazy how same speeds look like different speeds on different videos.
Great Video mate
Where is that exactly? Please could you give me the location on google maps or something please? I have always wanted to go there!:D
Its just up from Schoolar Green, Cheshire, I've got a link to it on Google Maps (www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.1191242,-2.2349031,217m/data=!3m1!1e3).
Thankyou:D

Kph more likely, never 125 mph
Hello everyone
No way is that going 125mph. More like 50-60mph
If that's 125 my nan walks at 50mph
Well it's a 120mph calculated.
The thing is literally hundreds of feet long, even at high speed it’s not going to look the same as a car moving at the same speed for example which is much much smaller.
260m passes in 5 seconds. That works out to be a speed of 190km/h, or just under 120mph. So not far of 125mph
❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
It doesn't look that fast lol
These tube vids are getting more and more shyte. If that's 125 mph then my dog runs faster
I've never had any use for the "stop recommending channel" button until now. Thank you!
