- www.video125.com for this Pendolino Driver's eye view from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly via Milton Keynes and Stoke on Trent. This is available on DVD, Blu-ray disc and to download. Running time is 126 minutes. Filmed in the summer of 2018 with the full cooperation of Virgin Trains. The route has been fully researched and written by Producer Peter Middleton and is narrated by BBC Radio 3's Ian Skelly. It is fascinating to see the angle of tilt from the driver's viewpoint. The class 390s can take relatively sharp bends at speeds up to 125 mph. Video125 offers a money back guarantee if you aren't happy with the production.
Definitely gonna be getting this one. It'll be interesting comparing the Euston-Colwich section with the 1995 DEV. Most obviously, Rugby has changed beyond recognition.
I worked on the Pendolinos at Oxley depot till 2005, so seeing the cab again brings back good memories.
I’ve been at polmadie for last 2 years as a tech
Even though they run on the Standard Gauge and not his visionary Broad Gauge, I get the feeling that Isombard Kingdom Brunel would love the class 390 Pendolinos. He would be impressed with the speed they are capable of, but above all how clever they are (scanning the route ahead to determine the amount of tilt required for each turn depending on how fast the train is going, within reason)
SiVlog you are joking? They are so uncomfortable and claustrophobic, as well as stinking of dirty toilets too.
@@EM-yk1dw you've clearly never ridden on a Pacer then
They don't scan the route ahead, they are told by the TASS system when to tilt, inferior to APT-P's which used accelerometers per bogie to tilt.
@@ruane1995 fair enough, they're still very high tech though nonetheless. It a shame that Virgin are (as of 8th December 2019) no longer running the franchise, it'll take a while to get used to seeing them in green
@@EM-yk1dw They're Not Uncomfortable & Stinky As The Toilets.
Great Blue-ray Film.Thank you Video 125
Was pleasantly surprised to see this one. Will definitely be picking up this one on Blu Ray at some point. Ian's narration sounds very good.
Didn't see this one coming, very pleasantly surprised. Considering that I spend time in Greater London and Greater Manchester, I'll get this at some point :)
I Have Never Heard A Driver's Eye View About Class 390 Pendolinos.
Magnificent drivers eye view from the pendolino 23 years after they did the drivers eye view on the 87 ac locomotive in 1995
The Pendolinos Runs On Routes To Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street, Edinburgh, Glasgow Central, Liverpool Lime Street & Blackpool North.
Nice video. Thanks a lot for it. And thanks for great comments as well. This is not so common in cabview videos.
Another DVD to add to my wishlist when it becomes available on Train Pictures's store website
try also arhsnsw.com.au/shop/
however if you have a decent internet connection (or on nbn as i presume you are from Australia) try downloading it as it will save you time and maybe money. i think the last physical video 125 disc i bought was welsh marshes
It is great to have too sides to the WCML the classic Class 87 Electric Loco's (with DTV at the rear) on the Royal Scot from London to Glasgow and this with the faster Pendolino from London to Manchester. It does give a great comparison from then and now I think.😊😇
AMAZING TRAINS PENDOLINO
Will be getting this to go with all the other DEV I’ve got.
Great DEV that the class 390 pendilino great trains
It's a pleasure to drive these things on this route. 😁.
It’s not a pleasure travelling on these trains.

This train company is Now Avanti West Coast
Its a new company taking over not the same company
Yes it is
I haven't been in London for 3 years
Hope dese guys come back
That makes a great scene with old Canal Boat on the Canal with the modern Pendolino Train on the tracks above.😊 Between Carnforth and Hest Bank on the WCML the Canal is above the Road and Rail.😲 How wired is that?🤔
Definitely looking forward to buy this on DVD.
2:08 New Overground train is there on the right (Same ones used for Crossrail/TFL Rail. They are in service on the GOBLIN Line.
Kaviraj Nosib they aren’t the same, the Crossrail ones are class 345 and the London Overground ones are class 710
Looks great!
Really well done! Awesome.
Looks like a good video. Though the Royal Scot theme tune was so much more my thing, sounded much more like a rushing express train
They should film the full London to Glasgow route in a class 390, perhaps as an update to the Royal scot video they made in a class 87 back in 1995. It would be interesting to see the train tilting through the lake district and scotland.
The journey was more comfortable then if a tad longer.
I just ordered this as a download from your site, and was supposed to get an e-mail from you on how to download it, but have not yet gotten one.
Do one from Preston to Carlisle ! Would be a great seller as Train Simulator has a section between Preston and Carlisle called "Over Shap" It is very popular.
They already did, and far beyond both, in 1995

I would rather watch one of these on the TV than be subjected to travelling on the uncomfortable, claustrophobic, smelly toilet things. Nice to see that WCML is an overgrown garden now too.
For someone who apparently has a burning hatred of them you sure do love watching and leaving a comment on every pendolino video
@@rabd9881 Read my comment, I would rather watch on TV than travel on them.
This one was unexpected.
Love it
still rocking that early 2000s asthetic i see ;- )

Haha a train is going past my house as I just started to watch this.
0:00 is my channel logo lol
I seen one when I was on my way to blackpool. It's had all the pride month colors on it. Very cool
whichwhich dashcam was that?
Sounds good but i am not going to pay £25 for a digital download considering there are free ones elsewhere on RUclips. I could buy this train simulator route for around the same price
Its a free country so it is a matter of choice. In defence, you won't get the same production from a freebie on RUclips. Our Driver's eye views take months to shoot and complete. There are usually weeks of filming, editing, researching, writing, recording and dubbing to consider. You won't see shots of the driver or the cab controls on RUclips because the filming was not authorised. Equally you won't see dozens of shots outside of the train. So you are unfairly comparing chalk with cheese. The latter has to be paid for, or it simply won't exist.
I guess. I agree on RUclips you wouldn't see the driver controls or anything like that. I haven't seen a proper one yet so I didn't realize that they were a professional documentary. I just expected it to be a simple video but it seems it is much more like a documentary. I was just expecting it to be a simple view from the cab
@@RandomBusNerd Thanks for your generous reply. We aim to give a good sample of the contents of our productions in the previews on RUclips, but perhaps its impossible to showcase a 2 hour film in just a few minutes.
So much noise in the cab, compared with Dutch and Italian trains, for example.
