  • Join Liza Hanks in this interactive session (30-minute discussion and 15-minute Q and A) to hear the inside story on what an estate plan is, why it matters, and, most importantly, how you can come to the process prepared and ready to make a plan that protects those you love most.
Two things that are inevitable, death and taxes, come together in this overview of how the gift and estate tax works, who has to pay it, and who doesn’t. Spoiler alert, currently this tax falls only on the very wealthy, but that doesn’t mean that will always be true.
In this course, you’ll learn how the estate and gift tax work together, what the annual exclusion is and how to use it, and other ways that you can make gifts without paying gift tax at all.
