Didn't make it live but glad to see you guys having fun! I'll be watching the replay. I'd like to hear Laurene's perspective since she's "virgin to Virgin". Maybe you can compare your first impressions to hers. Maybe some of the things you haven't done before - I thought maybe you were saving certain cool things for when Laurene was there. J..as a woman..you really can never have too many pocketbooks (purses) or shoes :) great live stream. My husband and I are considering a cruise with Virgin and we're in our 50's. You're never too old to have fun.
On a side note....I was listening to what you guys were saying about marriage. It really is about more than just love...compatibility is huge...I got married late in life and am glad I did because we both walked into it with our eyes wide open. My husband and I started out as a long distance relationship, he has a son and a daughter. We had a lot of work out before we did it. But, were ten years going strong now.

I hope you have a great cruise! We did Scarlet Lady on September 11th. It was our first time on Virgin and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. I suspect that they had just increased the occupancy rate by quite a bit for our cruise and perhaps just weren’t ready for it. Our biggest issue was availability of things on the ship. We got on board before 3:00pm and as soon as we I could I tried to book entertainment and such. Nothing was available. No shows at all. We immediately went to Sailor Services and the guy there had now way to check on reservations. He ended up using my phone to use the app. Then he talked to someone else and shrugged his shoulders and said it must be because of all the extra people this week. Sail away was really fun. It was mostly downhill after that. Scarlet Night was moved to the theater for some reason. We were waiting on the pool deck with many other people and literally 30 minutes after it was supposed to start on of the bar guys told us it had been moved to the theater. We went down there and it was over capacity and we weren’t allowed in. They had us wait a while but the prospects of us getting in didn’t appear too good so we left and went to find a drink. We each had a $400 bar tab and literally most of it went unspent because of the awful bar service and generally bad bartenders. Most of the crew either seemed indifferent or lost. The entire operation felt like it was being run by amateurs. The last 2 days there were a couple of bars that we couldn’t sit in because they were uncomfortably cold. Being a Caribbean cruise I mostly had shorts and short sleeved shirts. My wife brought a jacket and she was walking around bundled up like it was the dead of winter. I have never been cold on a cruise despite going to Alaska a couple of times. I feel like it was an error or a mechanical issue. It would have been nice to get it fixed but it didn’t happen. We had a mixed experience with the food. We had some good food and some really bad food. The manager from Blue Agave hunted us down at another restaurant 2 days later to ask my wife about her food which she had complained about. I appreciate that she wanted more feedback but we were at the last evening meal of the cruise and she stayed a while. We did love our cabin, the Galley and the overall design of the ship. We got some good service at times. The lack of communication and problems with the app were bad. The upgraded Wi-Fi and regular Wi-Fi were exactly the same when I tested them. I would give them another chance at some point but I doubt that I can talk my wife into it. I have never said anything negative on a cruise review in my life previously. I spent 2 hours on the Virgin review. I was expecting to be contacted about it. We’ve done at lest 10 cruises since the restart and this was the only bad one. Hopefully they have figured out in the last month. I totally agree about Cozumel. Keep up the good work J!
