After DALA Bus 0451, a 2006 Thomas HDX burned up on I-4 in 2014, this bus was replaced by DALA Bus 1057, a 2009 Thomas HDX driven by Sophia Karantasis. Signed, Angela.
HDXes are not common in Maryland; only two contractors I know purchase them with any commonality (one in Charles County and one in Prince George's). The one in Prince George's is now in Clinton (used to be in Accokeek - less than a mile from my house), and used to be all-transits (and all HDX, in fact) - mostly due to capacity (HDXes are the "big boys" of the Thomas school bus line). The only "transit" school bus I was ever on (trip) was, in fact, that PG contractor's (the one that used to be near where I live) - an HDX. Fairfax County (and the city of Alexandria) in Virginia are mostly transits (IC RE) - the reason I know that is that I go that way once a month. Oddly, I once rode another HDX in non-school-bus trim; it was owned by GSA (and operated by - eeek! - the Defense Intelligence Agency). The government agencies have shuttle buses in the DC area that they either operate themselves or have contractors operate them; while some of them are small Minotour-types, others are activity buses for the routes that require lots of passenger room; the DIA-operated bus was one of these. Except that it had government (GSA generic) license plates, this was a generic MSFAB activity bus like you'd see in a military base doing generic shuttle-bus duty (or doing generic "activity" bus things anywhere else - such as church runs) - except that these were NEVER ex-school buses. Nothing "classified" about the bus - OR its route - or even that DIA operated the bus; their HQ is publicly acknowledged as such; the other end of the route is the Pentagon. (You had to have military or government ID to use the bus.)
Beautiful bus. Nice video! :)
We still have these buses still in service
Lucky for me C2
This was a great video do more like this

😂HdX's would be fun on Cecil County, Maryland back roads. Driving them in SOUTHERN NEVADA , you find out quickly how good they handle.🏁👊
We have plenty of these buses in Florida.

Me gustaría mucho tener infirmacion con ustedes de como hacer para negociar y traer un auto bus a Costa Rica...
shouldn't the gauges be in front of the steering wheel?
Nice video! The HDX is awesome. Do you think you could do some exterior start-ups on any buses?
